That connection to how the creative process can uplift and enhance one's life and the lives of others.","content":"Magic is a tricky thing to define\n\nLike Love it defies one concrete explanation\n\nAnd I find that what Magic is to me changes day to day\n\nBut I know for certain writing is magic\n\n  \n\nMagic is often thought of as a conjuring\n\nOr sleight of hand\n\nBut I like to think of it as undirected energy\n\nSo then what happens when that energy is given a focus?\u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n\nI see entire worlds behind my eyes and I take up a pen\n\nAnd cast a spell, binding my words like runes\n\nInto the long dead carcass of a tree\n\nAnd there they stay, undirected but charged\n\nBurned into the page with potential\n\n  \n\nAnd when someone reads my words\n\nThe spell is complete and the Magic truly happens\n\nMy worlds are theirs now and they share in them with me\n\n  \n\nEven after I have taken my final breath\n\nMy inner passion, the fire of creativity\n\nThat burns in my soul and is caught in the page\n\nLives on in everyone that my stories touch\n\n  \nAnd who could deny that is Magic?  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poetry","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1635267-how-often-do-you-ask.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1896669-ode-to-the-gay-bar-i-was-too-chickenshit-to-go-to.json"}}
