I dedicate it to that werewolf of my dreams I wrote a sonnet of that someday I hope to meet. I dedicate it to every werewolf, every beautiful creature, of this planet that yearns for the day when they might be welcomed fully into the world of Man. Welcomed and fully accepted for who they are. Accepted not only for their abilities or their gifts but for simply who they are. It is to them I dedicate this finale of my trio of poems. It is but a small gift I can give, as a sign of hope and support, for that day that shall come when Man and Were can walk the Earth together, openly and freely, once again.","content":"How stately and mighty are the beautiful creatures!\n\nThy fur and thy claws grant thee an adamant admiration.\n\nOh the ink that has been to paper for your readers,\n\nWritten of: in fright, and horror; in love and adoration.\n\nSymbol, even uninfluenced, of our great Luna silver,\n\nThou art a requiem song for our past dark nights.\n\nA symbol of perfect harmony between Man and animal.\n\nOh how thine howls bring to me a joyous shiver,\n\nAnd wanders through the forest as dark knights.\n\nMan and Were are inseparable, forever bound with souls affinal.\n\nWhy must Man be so spiteful of such magnificent beasts,\n\nIs it that envy has gotten the better of Man's great plans?\n\nHistory has given thou losing hands of many defeats,\n\nIt is no surprise thy brothers survive best in pack clans.\n\nThe great plan was for a future of bright possibilities,\n\nWhere each Man could live for his own purpose fulfilled,\n\nAnd exist for his own sake of happiness and liberty.\n\nEnvy ensured the plans would fail and only sow hostilities.\n\nIt dealt Weres a place where Man felt thou must be killed,\n\nFor envy cannot allow Man and Were to coexist in affinity.\n\nDoeth thou feel the change coming, in your body, spirit and soul?\n\nThe time now is close; the Great Revelation is at hand!\n\nWhen thy brothers and sisters of the fur can leave their darkness parole,\n\nAnd join Man fully in a world we may finally begin to understand.\n\nTo Weres, it will be as though the sun rose after a dark, moonless night.\n\nBut to Man, it shall be like that of an unexpected eclipse,\n\nWhich blocks out the light of the bright midday sun!\n\nIn times passed, caused cries of despair, holy pleas, and untellable fright.\n\nNow cheers of joy and wondrous fascination are what to these we affix.\n\nThe Great Revelation of Were to Man, joined finally as brother and son.\n\nWould thou be accepted as nature intended in thine fur?\n\nHistory rings with the plight of those seeking freedom.\n\nBut like Mother Liberty and the freed pride, so can the Were\n\nSeek to have thy emancipation granted and be done!\n\nFor though Man is capable of infinitely unspeakable evil,\n\nSo too is Man's capacity for good ten-times larger still!\n\nWould this be thine path to freedom and acceptance from Man?\n\nA path serene this would not be, for this shall be a great upheaval.\n\nBut the fruits of thine labour are certainly worthy to fulfill,\n\nSo thyself and I might at last be fully free and together again!\n\nIn the arms of my Beautiful Creature I say this in a weep.\n\nAs thou doeth wipe a small tear from my cheek,\n\nI gaze now into thine golden eyes and I feel my soul leap.\n\nFor what I feel is not fright, but utter love mystique.\n\nWhat would the world look like, I ponder away.\n\nAs though reading my thoughtful recall,\n\nThou begins to say what thy wants; it is already known though.\n\nThou wants to be a friend to man, to whom thou would say,\n\n\"A Were is Man, Man Wolf, -that is all\n\nYe know of me on earth, and all ye need to know.\"\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poetry","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1728518-sonnet-to-a-werewolf.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1728523-the-wolves-of-erin.json"}}
