Might update this later as I develop them more, or break it out into individual pieces about specific OCs if people want to see.\n  \n  \n\n[Posted using PostyBirb](http://www.postybirb.com)","content":"CHARACTER SUMMARY  \n  \nPatrick Altair  \n  \nSpecies: Gene modded human (Red tailed hawk anthro)  \n  \nSignificant abilities: Desolidification, Degree Control, Animal  \nCommunication  \n  \nOccupation: IT technician  \n  \nAge: variable in 25-35 range  \n  \nHailing from the Winds of Change setting, Pat is what might be called  \na \"self insert\" character.\u0026nbsp; That is to say, other than his world  \nbeing different, he's basically me, with certain levels of wish  \nfulfillment and desires added in, as well as exploration of certain  \nevents that I didn't do as we diverged.\u0026nbsp; He works in IT where he can,  \nbut he's also had other jobs as a messenger, spice shop proprietor,  \nand even occasionally a combatant when necessary, though he prefers  \nnot to dirty his hands.\u0026nbsp; Perhaps his biggest divergence is the fact  \nthat he met The One For Him, Cassandra Delarose, and after a few years  \nof dating, eventually proposed to her in a way that was accepted.\u0026nbsp;  \nThis was not without risk, due to them being from two different  \nrealities, but they and their friends were able to figure out a way to  \nmake it work that his nanites would not badly affect her or others,  \nincluding potential children.  \n  \nKawheek  \n  \nSpecies: Asari  \n  \nSignificant abilities: Martial arts capacity, ki energy attacks and  \npowers, natural healing.  \n  \nOccupation: eastern inspired monk and soldier for Hashinshira  \n  \nAge: Variable in 19-50s depending on canon point  \n  \nHailing from a smaller Thordani village which no longer exists,  \nKawheek was hatched to an Asari leatherworker and priestess.\u0026nbsp; His  \nfather did not live long into his life, given the nasty combat he was  \nexposed to, and he was raised primarily by his mother.\u0026nbsp; As he grew,  \nhe was taught the ways of Faenya and of basic combat, as well as  \ngeneral skills to work around the community.\u0026nbsp; His life took a  \ndifferent turn from being a cleric when, on a hunting mission one day  \nwhen he was young, he found an injured human monk.\u0026nbsp; After consulting  \nwith others in the village, Roganas, as his name was, was given  \nshelter in the village in exchange for labor.\u0026nbsp; He also openly taught  \nmartial arts to some of the youth there, a skill which Kawheek took up  \nand excelled at.\u0026nbsp; While a former member of the Scarlet Brotherhood,  \nRoganas hid his specism, if it existed, well.\u0026nbsp; Had he alternative  \nmotives for teaching, however, he was never able to realize them as  \nKawheek's village was wiped out shortly after Kawheek's 18th solstice  \nby an attack of fire giants.\u0026nbsp; Both Kawheek's mother and Roganas were  \nkilled, and the few survivors, realizing they could not fend off a  \nsecond offensive, shortly relocated to Hashinshira, a larger Thordani  \nanchor settlement in the Hellfurnace mountains.\u0026nbsp; Once there, Kawheek  \njoined the guard and worked hard to protect his adopted home,  \neventually becoming friends with others. During a day of hunting, he  \nwas captured by slavers in the mountains and taken into the Underdark  \nwith others from the village. Sidkah, a ranger and outdoorsman,  \nAstrid, a cleric, and Tseerik, a sorcerer. Not trusting the last at  \nfirst, he nonetheless worked with all three to escape the captors and  \nmove on to escape. On the escape, in order to aid the kobold Liatris  \nin retrieving her queen's crown from the escaped red dragon whelp  \nDuritax, they provided a distraction. This was the wrong course of  \naction, which later resulted in Duritax attacking Hashinshira and  \nslaying many, including Skekris, the aging Heliospix (High Priestess).  \nAfterwards the four made it worse by leaving Hashinshira to check on  \nthe kobolds and collect Duritax's hoard. Liatris was the only survivor  \nof the kobolds, and on returning, they were exiled from the village  \nfor somewhat over a year to atone for their misdeeds and lack of  \nforesight.\u0026nbsp; Taking shelter at Kawheek's old hometown for a brief  \nperiod, they ended up being defeated and surrendering to a gryphon,  \nand then had to leave further afield to human lands.\u0026nbsp; Once there,  \nthey were attacked for the treasure they carried, and lost some.\u0026nbsp;  \nThey also were mistaken for demons in the first village, similar to  \nvrocks, which gained them ill repute and respect despite it.\u0026nbsp; Being  \nhired by a deposed ruler, Lord Drax, they were commissioned to help  \nhim regain his throne from Roostam, a barbarian who had taken it in  \nhis stead.\u0026nbsp; The campaign to do so lasted half a year with fits and  \nstarts, before it was revealed that Roostam was being manipulated by  \nhis close advisor (who had been replaced by a Toschar monster).\u0026nbsp;  \nEventually the party convinced him to abdicate peacefully after  \nslaying the toschar and went off on further adventures, before  \nreturning to Hashinshira later on the appointed date to re-assimilate  \ninto their hometown, though never fully fitting in again after having  \ntasted the adventurer's life.\u0026nbsp; Still, they could be counted to appear  \nand help the village when the call to arms was sounded.  \n  \nMelody Nicole Shebesta  \n  \nSpecies: Wildtouched (Great Horned Owl)  \n  \nSignificant abilities: Perfect healing, shapeshifting (great horned  \nowl anthro and feral only)  \n  \nOccupation: Multiproficient professional artist  \n  \nAge: 25  \n  \nBorn of two humans, Melody was raised in a conservative christian home  \nto be a proper WASP housewife upon becoming an adult.\u0026nbsp; However, this  \ndid not happen as when she was in her teenage years, she started  \nshapeshifting as per her Wildtouched heritage.\u0026nbsp; Her parents saw this  \nas a sign of demonic possession, and this began a strong conflict  \nbetween them, eventually culminating in a contested, and somewhat  \nabusive, relationship between the three, which ultimately saw her  \nevicted from their home on her eighteenth birthday, and disowned  \nshortly after that.\u0026nbsp; Having expected and prepared for this, Melody  \nlanded on her feet, going to college and earning a degree instead, a  \nprocess which itself had some bumps and bruises along the way, and  \nbecoming a strong independent woman.\u0026nbsp; She spent some time on her own  \n(possible branch point), renounced her religion, and became  \npolitically active whilst working as a freelance artist.\u0026nbsp; Eventually  \nshe was hired on as animator at a firm.  \n  \nRichard Peter Gallian  \n  \nSpecies: Wildtouched (red tailed hawk)  \n  \nSignificant abilities: Perfect healing, shapeshifting (red tailed hawk  \nanthro and feral only)  \n  \nOccupation: Student, EMT  \n  \nAge: variable in early to mid 20s  \n  \nBorn of two humans, the son of an ER doctor and his love, Richard had  \na more relaxed childhood than Melody.\u0026nbsp; The first of three children,  \nhe grew up in central Maine, with his needs mostly provided for.\u0026nbsp;  \nThis isn't to say there wasn't conflict, as he had issues with  \ndictates about sports and extracirriculars laid down to prevent his  \ninjury by his parents.\u0026nbsp; His own awakening occurred in his teenage  \nyears as well, but he was lucky enough to manage to keep it secret.\u0026nbsp;  \nHe moved out at the first opportunity, claiming he needed some space  \nto study for college, and his parents supported him in the endeavor.\u0026nbsp;  \nA parkour/freerunning practicioner, he found great joy in flying and  \nbeing on his own, and also met other wildtouched in his area; a  \nraccoon, two grizzly bears, a cougar, and a few others.\u0026nbsp; This friend  \ncircle was not to last, however, as attempts to infiltrate it by  \noutside forces for negative reasons scattered them all, and resulted  \nin Richard going to ground for nearly a year across the USA, aided by  \nhis Wildtouched nature.\u0026nbsp; He eventually returned and found safety to  \nfinish his degree, but was again alone.\u0026nbsp; He finished his degree and  \nworks out trying to keep his secret while also having fun with it and  \nfigure out more details behind why he exists as a Wildtouched... not  \nrealizing that if he gets an answer, he may not enjoy what he finds.  \n  \nThenyr Nontdargo II  \n  \nSpecies: Thordani  \n  \nSignificant abilities: Combat training, divine powers granted by his  \ngoddess Faenya  \n  \nOccupation: Priest, cleric, warrior  \n  \nAge: Variable, mid to late 20s.  \n  \nHatched in Hashinshira proper, Thenyr grew up as an orphan in the  \ntemple after his parents were killed before he was old enough to form  \nstrong memories of them.\u0026nbsp; He was raised as a acolyte of Faenya and  \ntrained in her wisdom, as a sort of child-of-the-community along with  \nseveral other youngsters who had been orphaned in the same attack.\u0026nbsp;  \nExpecting to simply walk the same path, things changed when he was in  \nhis teenage years when Kawheek came to the village to select a student  \nto train.\u0026nbsp; Impressed with the youth, Thenyr was selected as his  \nstudent and trained with Kawheek for several years, in the hopes of  \nsucceeding Garv, the current Heliospix, when he passed or retired.\u0026nbsp;  \nWhile neither has come to pass yet, Thenyr has become well trained, if  \nunconfident in his ability to lead the village, enough so that a  \nsecondary leader (Sheryd) was selected in case he was unable to  \nperform the task satisfactorily.\u0026nbsp; Following that, he simply is  \nwaiting in the wings and is well liked by his people as his chance to  \nshine or fall approaches.  \n  \nNathan Scott Renfrew  \n  \nSpecies: Human  \n  \nSignificant abilities: Expert marksman, Athenian Devout  \n  \nOccupation: Realmwalker  \n  \nAge: 22 to 30  \n  \nBorn a few years before realmfall, Nathan spent a significant amount  \nof his childhood obsessed with the realms, and training to be a  \nrealmwalker, regardless of how many people told him it wasn't a real  \njob or that he wouldn't make it.\u0026nbsp; Due to his dedication, he did,  \ngraduating from a US satellite of Lecci Realmwalkers University in  \n2019 and being picked up by Realmwalkers Incorporated shortly  \nthereafter.\u0026nbsp; Moving to Lecci and beginning to work as a junior  \nrealmwalker, he showed a strong aptitude for the work, and made a few  \ngood impressions with superiors, including saving his boss's life on a  \nbotched run.\u0026nbsp; Eventually he started to move into his own, independent  \nruns, and made many friends, both human and not, including Dawn, a  \nharpy whom he grew to love and care for.\u0026nbsp; Following a massive  \nexpedition helping a group rescue their friend, he spent several  \nmonths in realm as a teacher of native realmies, teaching them about  \nthe Scientific Realm, and by his mid 20s, married Dawn in a small  \nceremony, despite his parents' disapproval.\u0026nbsp; The honeymoon went  \npoorly, with Dawn kidnapped and held hostage in a war Nathan wanted no  \npart in, but with aid from the temple of Athene, to which he is sworn  \nas a devout, he was able to rescue her and many others.\u0026nbsp; He then  \ntransferred to the Norse realm, just in time to be turned into a  \nwerewolf by a power play by Fenrir.\u0026nbsp; He rather botched his response  \nto this event, costing Athene a subgod and a significant power source,  \nin his shortsighted haste to get himself fixed.\u0026nbsp; Following this he  \nwas condemned to spend several months as a nonanthro owl and to be  \ncompletely honest about why this was to all inquiries, a rather  \nhumbling and grounding experience for him to have to endure.\u0026nbsp;  \nFollowing his return to human form, he was immediately caught up again  \nin an attempt to rescue the subgod, who instead of wanting to be  \nrescued had instead summoned him as a trap to take her own revenge on  \nhim.\u0026nbsp; He accepted this further punishment with grace, having had his  \nmark changed to another god and his gender swapped, but he was able to  \ncure it after some time and questing.\u0026nbsp; Following the cure, he became  \nembroiled in an attempt to infect all svartskoll, including Dawn, with  \na tailored virus to kill them.\u0026nbsp; He was able to save their lives by  \nworking with his enemy Fenris yet again and then moving on to have the  \nvirus modified by Athene.\u0026nbsp; Following this, Dawn became pregnant, and  \nthey moved on to a new phase in their life together.  \n  \nLt. Arrow Quincy Vershaft  \n  \nSpecies: Mod-Buteo  \n  \nSignificant abilities:   \n  \nAge: 22-30  \n  \nBorn, or rather hatched, on Terra Buteo, Arrow had a hard time with  \nthe accelerated education common to his planet, as well as the  \nconstant jockeying for position amongst the other chicks.\u0026nbsp; He wasn't  \nbad at his studies, just bad with the politics.\u0026nbsp; Nevertheless, he  \npassed, and became somewhat of a burnout right off the bat.\u0026nbsp; His  \nparents, worried about the honor of the family lineages, sent him to  \nthe Advanced Gmelin Academic and Technical Education Program, or  \nAGATE, hosted on Gmelin, a largely uninhabitable moon of the planet.\u0026nbsp;  \nHere, Arrow flourished, finally finding the tools and support he  \nneeded to succeed.\u0026nbsp; Following a few years on AGATE, he returned to  \nthe surface of Terra Buteo, and landed a job initially on Ring-Seven,  \nan orbital shipyard and spacedock, working as a repair technician and  \nsystems engineer.\u0026nbsp; Once finished with his education there, he moved  \non to the HMS Solsbury, which was a posting of endurance as he rankled  \nat the rules placed on him and the strict discipline on the ship.\u0026nbsp;  \nWhen a friend left the Solsbury to take a ship that his father had  \nbequeathed him, Arrow jumped at the chance to join a more relaxed,  \nless hostile crew, and was rewarded with a Lieutenant rank and  \nposition as the the systems officer of The Cause, an aging cruiser  \nwith a mixed race crew.\u0026nbsp; This became his true family and friends, and  \nwas where he found himself most at home for several years.  \n  \nFaenya  \n  \nSpecies: Goddess (normally perfected Thordani or avariel)  \n  \nSignificant abilities: Weather control, solar deity, healing,  \ngod-level powers  \n  \nAge: Eternal  \n  \nThe patron deity of the Thordani and Asari, Faenya shepherds them  \nthrough difficult times and seeks to improve their lot.\u0026nbsp; They  \nvenerate her as their sole deity and her powers are accessible to  \ntheir priests for the purposes of controlling air and sky, the sun,  \nhealing, and improving the world in various ways.\u0026nbsp; Her long term  \ngoals are to see the Thordani and Asari survive, and eventually be  \nbrought to par with the other civilized races of the world."}
