Darius - D

IN - "Investigator."

  

\>AM and D have been going steady for a while.

\>D is member of her band, does occasional backup vocals, mainly plays drums.

\>Band is good backup money, but not really livable.

\>AM's other job, is being hired muscle. (Maybe lieutenant in Gang? Offers bigger post, more oomph on betrayal)

\>She's been in "The Gang" for as long as she can remember.

\>Her size and stature are great intimidators, but if the don't crack, she can MAKE them crack.

\>She's the definition of "Gang Muscle" and she HATES IT.

\>Not many prospects for a 7 foot hyena woman who can put holes through brick walls with her hands.

\>But D? and the Band? That's her DREAM. Her LIFELINE. The only reason she's still going really.

\>D's introduced her to a family that can care, that loves her without strings or needing her for anything. her Band? Her dream, her FUTURE, if she has any say in it.

\>But she's still attached to that damn Gang. And they're the only reason she's still "liquid" cash-wise.

  

\>IN works for local branch. Never made clear whether or not they're the good guy. (Maybe member of rival gang? New identity part may be very hard to do.)

\>IN is informed there is a mole inside their ranks. Need to out the mole without alerting them.

\>Out them BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

\>Mole most certainly works for Gang.

\>Too many suspects. Far too many other people with to much shit going down for this to be easy.

  

\>The Gang.

\>Public Enemy #1

\>Public Menace on a good day, borderline domestic terrorists with some of their plots on others.

\>Far too strong, with too well hidden of a base.

\>Gang doesn't care who gets hurt in process of taking and keeping power.

\>Doesn't care if it's own members get hurt by their hands.

\>Not their problem.

  

\>A new hit. Make it public, make it messy.

\>A message to the city.

  

\>AM's day off.

\>Date today. D's fav. restaurant.

\>Doesn't know about the hit.

  

  

\>Crossfire.

\>Stray ricochet. Maybe shrapnel.

\>D's bleeding.

\>His neck.

\>oh god there's something in his neck.

\>Don't move.

\>Glance at shooters.

\>Gang.

\>damn them.

\>Damn them ALL.

  

\>Hospital.

\>Throat damaged. He'll live.

  

\>He'll never talk again.

  

\>IN meets AM. Wants to talk. About the Gang.

\>Has an offer.

\>Decline. Gives AM their card. "Call me when you change your mind."

  

\>They never said "if."

  

\>AM goes to Gang hideout. DEMANDS a reason.

\>Why?

\>You shouldn't have been there. Not our problem.

\>We don't care.

  

\>A deal with the IN. IN needs evidence, proof of the mole. Doesn't need to bring them in.

\>AM want's revenge. NEEDS revenge.

  

\>A plan. Burn them ALL. Mostly AM's idea.

  

\>Hideout abandoned. (Maybe a bunker?)

\>No fire suppression systems.

\>VERY big meeting coming up.

\>Everyone will be there.

\>Everyone.

  

  

  

\>They all BURN.

\>Like a furnace. Stockpile of ammo helps the fire more.

\>AM standing outside. Watching the smoke billow out.

\>Can hear screaming. And the smell. Christ, the SMELL.

\>Burns her ID, everything tying her to "Angela Morrison."

\>Lies low. City reports of "abandoned fire, no exact cause of start, no recoverable evidence."

\>Nothing left but ashes and carbon. And the slag of metals.

  

\>IN gives her a new identity. "Anne-Marie." Darius doesn't need one. He'll be transferred publicly, her in secret.

\>Somewhere in the midwest.

\>Far away from her old life.

\>Have to start a new band, leave her old mates behind.

\>It sucks.

\>But revenge is sweet.

  

\>An epilogue.

\>End of a set. New members, new band.

\>Darius pops the question in the green room.

\>Private wedding, very small affair, but who cares.

\>She says yes, of course.

  

  

\>gotta get the cute happy ending of course.
