Bueno\u0026nbsp;\n\nIt's been a few years since I've visited my other home\u0026nbsp;\n\nRepública Dominicana a place I loved to roam\u0026nbsp;\n\nOf course those days have years ago passed\u0026nbsp;\n\nEsto es porque la vieja casa de mi familia ya no está ahí\u0026nbsp;\n\nYo me siento un poco triste por esto a veces pero esta bien\n\nThat feeling never long lasts\u0026nbsp;\n\nBecause I have memories of DR galore\n\nMemories of the food, the beaches, the capital, the landmarks and even the grocery stores(bodega)\n\nFor me things are simply mejor allá\u0026nbsp;\n\nFood fresher, things calmer and a feeling that I am free to just be\u0026nbsp;\n\nI mean America is my first home but a big piece of my heart will always belong to DR\u0026nbsp;\n\nI can still taste the flavors of it although in terms of both time and place they are far\n\nThe star fruit that grew so bountiful from the backyard tree\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe guanabana, tamarindo, chinola, limonsillo and plenty more fruits and foods that bring me glee\n\nFor lunch we'd have a spread that was practically a mini feast\u0026nbsp;\n\nRice, beans, vegetales like chayote, meat all over the table for a whole family at least\u0026nbsp;\n\nEl plátanos frito, ensalada, aguacate y mas\n\nThose meals with family were always happy and filling\n\nThe memories made from those and many other meals were all great and fulfilling\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe flavors of DR and the experiences there were all instilling\u0026nbsp;\n\nI learned so much there through my many visits over the years\u0026nbsp;\n\nI just love it there it's flavors, my waiting family and all the lovely places I have and have yet to have been\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\n\nI could go on for forever about the places I've gone from the dirt roads of Dajabon to the richness of Santiago but I can't do it justice just writing about it on a screen\n\nLa República Dominicana es un bien lugar para visitar\n\nAnd someday I'll definitely go back of this I'm pretty sure\n\nUn día cuando el mundo y mi viva este mas tranquila y mejor\n\nYo quiero una vez mas probar ese sabor\n\nEl sabor de mi otro hogar \u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;  \n  \n\n"}
