Author: Maximillion Tags: Fox, Human, Relationship, friend, furture **Unexpected Love - Chapter 3 - My Friend Zack...**                 In the morning just as a ray of sunlight glistened off of Quiri's orange fur, she awoke.  She felt around on the other side of the bed where Eliseo had been, but he was gone.  She was just about to go into a panic when she heard commotion coming from the kitchen.  She got up, fixed her hair a little and walked through the bedroom door.               As the kitchen came into view, she could smell food, something delicious no doubt by the smell of it she thought.  She heard Eliseo's voice, but it wasn't directed at her, he hadn't even noticed her yet.  "Holoscreen, on.  Preference, news" he commanded.  A screen materialized over the counter, with a news reporter updating everyone tuning in on the uprising on Terra.  "Stove, off" he said as he stared at the screen.  The stove immediately shut down and began self cleaning.               Quiri entered the kitchen not being able to resist the succulent aroma that resided there.  "Good morning" Eliseo said with a smile on his face, "Did you sleep well"?  "Yes I did, thank you", Quiri responded staring at the bounty on the table.  Two omelets filled with cheese, ham, onions, tomatoes, and peppers.  There was also two cups of steamy coffee, some strips of bacon on each plate along with some hash browns.  "You're quite the chef" Quiri said breaking free of her trance-like state.  "Well go ahead dig in" he responded.  They both sat facing each other as they ate their breakfast.  "You are the most generous person I have ever met, how can I repay you" Quiri said breaking the silence.  "Don't worry about it, I'm just happy to help" Eliseo responded mid-way of bringing his coffee cup to his mouth.               When they finished, they both took their plates and placed them in the dishwasher.  Right before Eliseo had a chance to say "Dishwasher, clean" Quiri said with as she winked at him.  "There is someone at the door" the AI integrated in the house said.  The sudden voice made Quiri jump.  "Identify" commanded Eliseo.  The news on the holoscreen faded as it switched from satellite to camera.  A picture of a male Terran came up on the screen, he had gray fur that faded to white as it went down his arms.  "Here we go again" Eliseo said as he headed for the door, as Quiri followed close behind.               Eliseo opened the door, and just as he did the Terran charged at him, and took Eliseo in an embracing hug.  "I missed you so much" the Terran said.  "uhhh... hey Zack"  Eliseo said trying to break free of his death grip.  Over Eliseo's shoulder he noticed Quiri, and loosened his grip.  "This is Quiri" Eliseo started, "and Quiri this is Zack".  Quiri gave a casual wave.  "Well nice to meet you Quiri, any friend of Eliseo is a friend of mine", Zack said.  "We've been friends since we were kids" Eliseo stated, "I was the first person he told that he was gay".  "And I've been trying to get him to come over to my side, if you know what I mean" Zack added with a wink, and leaned over to lick Eliseo on the cheek.  "How many times have I told you to stop doing that" Eliseo said rubbing his cheek.  "More than I can count, and oh yeah that reminds me I came over to tell you that the guys and I are going to head to the bar tomorrow, you in?"
