Poetry's not my thing, but it wouldn't leave me alone.\n(C)~Nivulus 2021","content":"He sits on the step, staring at nothing  \nHis gaze is low and unfocused, head slightly tilted\n\nNumb from stillness, his body is gone  \nWinds of thought whisper through him  \nThey steal away, and leave him hollow  \nIn the absence make themselves louder\n\nShe finds him there, his worth bleeding away  \nShe does not ask if he is okay  \nShe does not ask for his excuses\n\nShe sits on the step, staring at nothing  \nHer arm is across his shoulders, head slightly tilted\n\nWarm from embrace, her body is gentle  \nTears of fire claw his face  \nThey steal away, and leave him exposed  \nIn their presence make him known\n\nShe finds him there, his heart cowering afraid  \nShe does not tell him it will be okay  \nShe does not tell him her excuses\n\nThey sit on the step, staring at nothing  \nShe is waiting for him to return  \nShe will be there\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
