{"sf1_id":184539,"sf2_id":"nLr43WRe","title":"Rising Anew -Chapter 11, Family \u0026 Learning-","author":"VioletTiger","words":985,"posted_at":"2010-10-08T16:06:00.000Z","tags":["History","Rising Anew","Squirrel","Tiger","Tigress","books","laughing","learning","mess","necromanta","purring"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/184539-rising-anew-chapter-11-family-learning","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/nLr43WRe","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/d1/28/d128fa1a-8350-4eb6-9e83-9cf665f5ec4d","description":"#9 of Rising Anew","content":"Rising Anew -Chapter 11, Family and Learning, cont.-  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"What do you know about these two, Marcerous?\" came a menacing hiss  \n  \nfrom the dark shadows in his cave.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"They are full blood Necromanta, that smell.. oh it was so sweet! \u0026nbsp;  \n  \nlike his mother's, the boy, he has a vicious tenacity, it will be so  \n  \ndelicious to crush.\" replied the malicious hybrid's voice from across the  \n  \ndark chamber.\u0026nbsp; A silent rustling sound made its way across the cavern floor  \n  \nand around Marcerous.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"I want vengeance for what they did to my children, i want them  \n  \nto...\u0026nbsp; DIIIIEEEEE!!!!!\" The cavern echoed with the hissing exclamation as a  \n  \nlarge golden snake's head shot into Marcerous's vision.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Tarsus bobbed quietly through the library that Purrma had brought  \n  \nher to with Narcenac and Narina.\u0026nbsp; She rubbed her little fingers over the  \n  \nbacks of the books as she walked, looking at the ones she thought were  \n  \npretty.\u0026nbsp; The only book she had ever seen were magazenes that had happened to\n\n\u0026nbsp; blow into her clan's grove.\u0026nbsp; She had always liked the pictures in them, with  \n  \nall of the pretty dresses and shiny baubles, but she didnt know what the  \n  \nlittle markings were.\u0026nbsp; Then she saw it.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Standing before the young squirrel was a mountain of books, stacked  \n  \nhigh, and at the top, a little shiny ball. Without a second thought, she  \n  \nshot to the stack and grabbed a chair. Giggling, she jumped and reached for  \n  \nthe ball, only going about 3/4ths the way up the stack.\u0026nbsp; After a few jumps,  \n  \nshe stopped and frowned, then started to try climbing the books, she was  \n  \ndetermined to have that ball.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Narina was walking back to the table Purrma, Papaw, and Narcenac  \n  \nwere sitting at with a glass of water when she noticed Tarsus climbing the  \n  \nstack of books.\u0026nbsp; She set the glass down on a shelf and started running  \n  \ntoward the girl quickly. \"Tarsus noooo!\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;With a final grunt, Tarsus touched the shiny ball just as the stack  \n  \nlost stability and came crashing down, with her on it.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Narcenac and the two elder tigers came running through the shelfs to  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; see what the ruckus was.\u0026nbsp; Narina was standing at the edge of the mess  \n  \nshaking her head as she helped the little squirrel out of the heap of books.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"You should have known better Tarsus...\" she said as she stood back.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"I.. i sowwy... I wanna have shiny ball, try jump, no reached it, so  \n  \nclimb, then boom, crash, i fall onna books...\" Tarsus replied.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Purrma smiled and picked up the small trinket.\u0026nbsp; \"Well little one,  \n  \nwas this little ball worth so much trouble?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Tarsus shook her head slowly and stared at the floor.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"I tell you what child, if you clean and organize all of these  \n  \nbooks, put them back in their stack properly, i will give you this shiny  \n  \nball.\" Purrma said softly, instantly recieving an enthusiastic ear perk from  \n  \nTarsus. \u0026nbsp;  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"Yessum, i do it quicken, you not believe it done fast!\" she  \n  \nsqueeked, and instantly started darting around the pile, picking up the  \n  \nbooks.\u0026nbsp; This just caused the tigers to all fall into a fit of laughing as  \n  \nthey walked back to their table.  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*\\*  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;They had been sitting at the table for nearly 2 hours, Purrma and  \n  \nPapaw had given them one book after another, all to explain their history.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"So why did the Necromanta move to this country, Were they not happy  \n  \nin the old country?\" Narina asked curiously.  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"In the old country we were regarded as a myth, to some as deities,  \n  \nyet some people there wanted to know if there was more than just a myth, \u0026nbsp;  \n  \nand when humans find their myths are reality, they realize that they can try  \n  \nto control it.\" Papaw answered.\u0026nbsp; \"We left to remain a myth, a family stayed  \n  \nbehind, determined to control the lands we held, this is the family from  \n  \nwhich Narina was born, her mother, she did not believe in the ways of the  \n  \nfamily and left to come here.\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"So... what are we?\" Narcenac questioned silently.\u0026nbsp; \"Are we demons,  \n  \nangels, or just mutations?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Purrma shook her head slowly. \"No my dear, we have been in this  \n  \nworld for as long as humans have, but it was decided long ago that humans  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; were too dangerous to face without either battling, or being eradicated  \n  \nourselves, so we stay silent, found a way to hide among humans through our  \n  \nability to change forms into humans for some time, now many are born human  \n  \nin form and revert to our natural forms after so long.\" \u0026nbsp;  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"To answer your question son, We are simply another species that has  \n  \nevolved, or been created on this planet, if we are demons or angels, it is  \n  \nonly in the imagination of humans.\" Papaw replied.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"So..\u0026nbsp; Why are Narcenac and i different?\" Narina quieried.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"You and Narcenac are pure Necromanta, you will not shift back to  \n  \nyour human forms, nor i think, should you, you are stronger, faster, and  \n  \nhave better senses then most of us, in other words, you are physically more  \n  \nperfect than others.\" Papaw said with a gentle smile.\u0026nbsp; \"Now tell me, what  \n  \ndid you have the most trouble dealing with when you changed?\"  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"The paws!\" both young tigers chimed together.\u0026nbsp; They looked to one  \n  \nanother and smiled, purring loudly.  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\"I DID BOOKS FOR PURRMA TIGER!!!\" Came Tarsus's cry of triumph  \n  \nfollowed by a squeek and an \"oops\".  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;Purrma struggled to maintain her composure as the little squirrel  \n  \ncame sneaking through an asle in the library towards them.\u0026nbsp; This proved to  \n  \nbe too much for the matronly tigress and the entire group burst into  \n  \nlaughter as she snorted and laughed.  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Rising Anew","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/171532-rising-anew-chapter-11-family-and-learning.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/194558-rising-anew-chapter-12-train-realize-your-life.json"}}
