This is the one you mates been waiting for and here it is. The path of Jacob is one that intersects with everyone featured so far in this series and likely a couple others that will be featured in future chapters. Get ready for a rather lengthy journey of Part 1 of Jacob's story. Telling you any more would simply spoil the wonderful things you will discover within these pages. Enjoy.","content":"MISTS OF THE MOUNTAINS: DUTY BOUND\n\n \n\n \n\nPurpose is a potent motivator. It gives validation to actions taken towards a goal established by a person or collectively by a community. It also creates clarity, when a person or community begins to drift from the core values that define who they are. It drives them to achieve specific goals, to insure the longevity of their legacy. For places that continue to struggle at rebuilding an existence that once had meaning to them, it becomes instinctual for those like the Rangers to do everything they can to insure that purpose is achieved daily to some degree. Thus why the people of Anchor and Nomad life are cooperative with any task taken on by them. It is also why there are some tasks that are considered to be too important for anyone but a Ranger to complete. Their core purpose of why they exist is their call of duty.\n\n \n\n \n\n“Are there any more questions about the assignment tomorrow?\" Sam asks the Rangers, as everyone proceeds to stand up and stretch their legs, with only shaking heads in response.\n\n \n\nA brief moment of silence hangs in the air of the closed tavern, with only the crackling sound of wood in the nearby fire place breaking it. The bar keep was excused and assured any mess made would be taken care of by Jacob and Sam themselves.\n\n \n\n“Looks like they got it. Alright. Everyone is dismissed for the night. Make sure you have everything you may need and be ready when the morning mist clears at the base camp.\" Jacob adds.\n\n \n\nThe six attending Rangers then paired off and begin walking towards the tavern entrance, which Sam was already waiting at and gets nods of acknowledgment, as they walk through it. Brief banter from the men is heard outside the tavern, seconds after the door closes.\n\n \n\n“So what do you have planned for tonight?\"\n\n \n\n“Just our usual night time mushroom excursion in the woods. You?\"\n\n \n\n“We have a outdoor frolic appointment to keep. Good sturdy men too. How about you two?\"\n\n \n\n“Thought I treat my buddy to a night of sharing the girls.\"\n\n \n\n“They still in town?\"\n\n \n\n“For one more night. Which reminds me, we better get going.\"\n\n \n\n“Same here. Don't want that prime hairy farmer ass to feel like it got stood up.\"\n\n \n\n“Everyone be safe out there tonight.\"\n\n \n\n“Will do. See everyone in the morning.\"\n\n \n\nJacob and Sam watched everyone disperse through the large front window and then finished cleaning up the table. As the chairs were being flipped and set on the table itself, Sam decided now was the best time to spring his little announcement. He waited until they were at the counter and Jacob had set the tray of used glass mugs down.\n\n \n\n“Hey Jacob. What would you say to going solo on the trip tonight?\" Sam casually asks, while rolling up the map of the region he brought from the table.\n\n \n\n“I would say that you be fortunate this isn't being asked of the other six.\" Jacob quips from behind the counter, while proceeding to wash the mugs.\n\n \n\n“You're not going to give me a hard time about protocol are you?\"\n\n \n\n“No. Just being subtle and you know why.\"\n\n \n\n“Would it sweeten the offer a little, if I told you arrangements had already been made to meet the Scribe at a nearby farm house that is up the mountainside?\"\n\n \n\nJacob briefly stopped the mug cleaning and looked up at Sam.\n\n \n\n“I didn't think anyone lived outside this anchor. How far up the mountainside?\"\n\n \n\n“He is an old friend of mine. His place is the same distance from here as the observation post.\"\n\n \n\n“I can work with that. How soon should I leave town?\"\n\n \n\n“After we finish with the clean up here.\"\n\n \n\nJacob nods and resumes his cleaning, as Sam secures the cap on the map storage tube.\n\n \n\n“By the way. The road at the back of the public horse stable, should take you to him.\"\n\n \n\n“Mind if I ask what is so important for you to break night travel protocol?\"\n\n \n\n“There is something really important I need to discuss with Hank. The twins' father.\"\n\n \n\n“Anything I need to know about at the moment?\"\n\n \n\n“It can wait until after the excursion.\"\n\n \n\n“Really?\" Jacob asks flatly, after finishing the mugs and looks up again.\n\n \n\n“Yes really. Don't be such a worry ward.\" Sam leans over the counter and smirks.\n\n \n\nJacob sighs heavily and simply stands in place. A moment of silence passes between them.\n\n \n\n“This better be important enough to justify the last minute change in travel plans.\"\n\n \n\n“I genuinely need to talk to him about the twins and no it can't wait. We both know this next excursion is their final training one and we want to be sure they are ready, physically and mentally.\"\n\n \n\n“Well if this has to do with what I think it is, then you should talk to him about it tonight.\"\n\n \n\n“Okay then.\"\n\n \n\nSam grabs the tube and walks to the door. Just as he opens it, a whistle from behind motivates him to turn back towards the counter.\n\n \n\n“You owe me for this one.\" Jacob reminds him, while walking from behind it.\n\n \n\n“Name it.\"\n\n \n\n“I'll think of something on my trip tonight.\"\n\n \n\n“Done.\" Sam then walks through the door.\n\n \n\n“Don't be late yourself.\"\n\n \n\n“Cute Jacob.\" Sam calls back from beyond the closing door.\n\n \n\nJacob simply stands at the tavern counter and stares out the large window and down the dimly lit street, as Sam walks towards the public horse stable. He then walks over to the front window and stands some more, as he watches Sam greet someone on a horse drawn cart, before getting up on it with them. Jacob recognizes the big horse and man. Both Hank and Sam wave back at him, up the street from the cart, before they ride away out of sight. He then sighs and proceeds to walk around the tavern, to put the caps on the glow crystals of the wall sconces. The tavern was quickly cast in a soft pulsing orange glow from the fireplace. Jacob made sure the safety grill was put in place and the last crystal to be capped, was the one by the door where he was now standing. He stood and watched the fire for a bit longer, then walks out the door towards the stable. Upon arriving at the stable entrance himself, he looked around the dimly lit interior and had trouble finding sight of the night stable hand.\n\n \n\n“Hello? Mark? I'm here to retrieve a horse and cart for my trip tonight.\" He calls out.\n\n \n\nHis only response was the appearance of horse heads over stall gates in the distance and them wickering back calmly in response. Perhaps the call of nature took him away temporarily. He then decides to walk on in and retrieve one of the nearest two wheel horse carts himself, from the storage space just beyond the office on his left.. By the time he finishes inspection of it, the stable hand shows up with a stallion in tow beside him and grooming brush in hand. Jacob looks away from the cart and notices Mark in his usual summertime bare bones tan overalls and work boots attire.. He also notices something wet glistening around the man's mouth that looked a little milky. Considering it was the over night shift, he felt no need to say anything.\n\n \n\n“Hey Mark. How goes stable operations when everyone else is sleeping?\" He asks.\n\n \n\n“More of the usual quiet. Just me and the horses.\" Mark casually replies.\n\n \n\n“Good to hear. Want to give me a hand with the cart?\"\n\n \n\n“Sure Jacob.\"\n\n \n\nMark tethers the stallion to a nearby post and finishes brushing him down. Jacob notices a swinging motion under the horse and looks towards the animal while the man's back is turned towards him. The cock was glistening in the dim light. He made sure to direct his gaze back to the cart, the moment Mark turned back and walks up to the opposite side. Both then nod to each other and hoist the guide rails up off the ground, before jointly rolling the cart out into the big open service hall.\n\n \n\n“Any trouble getting adjusted to your new job here at the stable?\" Jacob asks casually.\n\n \n\n“So far everyone here likes me and appreciate my gift for working with the horses so well.\"\n\n \n\n“That is also good to hear.\" Jacob compliments.\n\n \n\nOnce the cart is wheeled into place, Jacob gestures that he will hold it up by the rails, while Mark grabs the nearby braces used to keep them elevated during the tethering of the horse's harness to them. Once they were in place. Jacob helps him go retrieve the pulling harness from the tack room and then put it on the stallion. While Mark was out of sight on the opposite side of the horse, a audible fart erupted from his ass. Both briefly paused and snickered, before finishing the task of securing the harness. A strong scent of cum invades Jacob's nostrils. It was too strong to have come from a man.\n\n \n\n“Sorry.\" He hears Mark softly and politely say from the other side.\n\n \n\n“Nothing to apologize for. Men fart. Farts smell. No big deal.\" He assures.\n\n \n\nJacob quickly reviewed some things in his head and came to a rather obvious conclusion, while walking back to the cart. He wasn't about to make a big deal out of the situation and so long as the presumed activity didn't interrupt stable operations, there really was no need to make it an issue. After all, a relieved stallion was a calm and manageable stallion. He watched Mark proficiently guide the stallion into place and then both began securing him to the cart guide rails. Jacob made it a point to walk to the opposite side and give the stable hand a tap on the shoulder. Mark looks at him and watches the man lick his lips, before being pointed at. He repeats the motion and then his eyes got big, before he blushed and turned away. Jacob gently grabs his arm and turns him back.\n\n \n\n“Hey. I already knew what you did with horses, before getting you this job. You do a great job of looking after them at night. Just make sure you are discreet and hurt none of them. Don't want to see you at the business end of a man's rifle, for being caught doing things with his horse that he simply prefers to take care of himself exclusively. I know you will do this because you genuinely care for your job and every single horse that comes into your temporary care here at the public stable. Also don't forget to rinse your mouth of a morning. That way the first shift stable hands don't smell your cum breath and get suspicious... or jealous.\"\n\n \n\nBoth men nod to each other, then secure the last straps and buckles.\n\n \n\n“Sure. I can do that.“ Mark replies, then smiles sheepishly. “Hey Jacob?\"\n\n \n\n“Yes Mark?\"\n\n \n\n“Thank you.\" Mark then hugs him and it gets returned.\n\n \n\n“Okay. I have to get going now.\" Jacob politely breaks the hug and gets up in the cart.\n\n \n\n“Safe travels tonight.\"\n\n \n\nJacob looks down the service hall expectantly, then looks down at the stable hand. He nods and smiles before taking the driving reins from Mark and clicking twice with his tongue. The stallion responds and begins to walk forward. Jacob makes sure to wave back at Mark, by the time the cart reaches the exit and clicks his tongue twice again. The horse changes pace to a trot, before they fade from sight down the road into the woods outside of the anchor. He begins humming a calming little tune to himself and allows the trotting motion to set the tempo.\n\n \n\n \n\nAside from occasional rustling of brush, by smaller frolicking animals, the trip to the destination was thankfully uneventful. Occasionally there would be the sound of something bigger moving through the woods in the distance, but Jacob's instincts told him it was likely nothing of a threatening nature. He made sure to keep the stallion soothed during these brief moments. Jacob was a bit relieved when the trees finally broke and showed a moonlit sky above, along with illuminating the roof top of a small barn or large farmhouse in the distance. A simple wooden fence flanked the road on one side, while the mountain slope flanked the other one. He then spotted a break in the fence and a humble dirt driveway leading up to the farmhouse, flanked by more fence. A simple tug and the horse changed course to follow it towards a large fenced clearing, with the... large house in the middle.\n\n \n\n“Who the hell would still be living out here and build this?\" Jacob asks no one in particular.\n\n \n\nThe house itself was a square barn like structure, with a single peaked roof. There appeared to be a screened porch circling the entire structure, with two large lit windows beyond it and two large lit windows above it facing him in the driveway. As the cart drew closer, the house got quite a bit bigger. Jacob brought the cart to a stop about twenty paces from the visible front and stepped down from it. Getting his feet on solid ground only made the house seem even bigger. There was no practical reason to build a house so large to simply live in it. The man living here had to have altered an existing basic barn to become this house. He walked up to the visible entrance doors of the porch and could see the height of the roof eaves was nearly double that of a man. The swinging double doors were even bigger than normal. The wood framing around them looked to be very sturdy too. Why had he not heard about this place from anyone in town before? He paused to look around beyond the house and no sign of any other structures or any animals in the fenced pasture. Odd. He then shrugged and proceeded to reach out and open one of the screen doors. At that moment, he heard someone approach the barely visible same size entry doors from beyond it. They opened and showed two men standing just beyond them. The interior lighting from behind them made it difficult to see their features. However, one of them had white hair and a beard. Must be the property owner and the other one is the Scribe.\n\n \n\n“Good evening gentlemen. My name is Jacob. I am a Ranger and here to pick up the Scribe.\"\n\n \n\nBoth looked at each other and nodded, before the one with the white hair approached the screen door. Jacob stepped back as he opened and stepped on through it. Once he was in the moonlight, it became clear that he may not be the property owner. His skin texture and facial features were that of a young man. He extended a hand in greeting. Jacob reluctantly took and shook the hand.\n\n \n\n“I am the Scribe. I am from Anchor Ken and here on important business for the Anchor Elders.\"\n\n \n\nThe other man approached from behind and also shook Jacob's hand.\n\n \n\n“I'm Larry and owner of this house. Sam sent word ahead that you would be coming tonight. You are also welcome to stay for the night, since the two of you don't need to be back at Anchor Georgia until morning.\"\n\n \n\nLarry was a rather tall and stocky man. All of his hair was of normal enough dark color and the man wore a simple tan farmer's tunic. The Scribe was already wearing the same Ranger clothing as Jacob, that were likely sent to the Scribe by Sam himself.\n\n \n\n“Thank you Larry. I would like that very much. Are there accommodations for the horse?\"\n\n \n\n“Certainly. The back half of my house is still a barn. I just had the front half changed to become my home. I will see to him getting settled in, while the Scribe takes you inside.\"\n\n \n\nLarry politely walked past Jacob and then guided the stallion and cart around the house. The Scribe stepped aside and held the screen door behind him open. Unlike the rather barn like appearance outside, the inside definitely had the finished look of a home. Nothing was painted, but all the wood was sanded down and coated to shine. It otherwise looked just like the entrance end of the public stable. The middle part was open all the way to the roof, while the existence of second floor lofts with rails was visible beyond the primary support poles. Directly on the opposite end of the open area was another set of identical doors, that likely open to the attached stable area where the stallion was taken. They were flanked by two sets of steps, that lead up to the two separate lofts. Large glow crystals were mounted in a quad formation at the loft level on every single pole, then opposite of each other on the first floor level. Together they provided plenty of night time illumination to appreciate the beauty of the finished wood. The scribe proceeded to do a quick tour for Jacob.\n\n \n\n“As you can see. The original barn is still predominantly intact. Where there normally is a business office and feed storage room, is now a large bathroom and food pantry.\"\n\n \n\nThe Scribe took Jacob to both areas and showed him their interior. Both were big enough to park a wagon inside of them and had slim double doors positioned right in the middle The pantry looked normal enough with all it's expected shelves and stored goods. The bathroom was something new, a little strange and yet familiar. After walking through it's doors, Jacob felt like he stepped into an artistic creation comprised entirely of living plant life.\n\n \n\n“Seeing something like this was a first for me. Thankfully, Larry explained this room to me and will no doubt not hold back explaining it to you as well.\" The Scribe comments.\n\n \n\nJacob glanced around to the four corners and could see signs of functioning toilets sitting there, but they appeared to be made of living plant materials. Directly above them near the ceiling were large glow crystals that provided the lighting. Positioned in between the toilets and in the middle of the three walls, were large sinks made of the same plant material. Their basins looked like two large leaves pushed together, with their stems being the base. A single vine like protrusion extended out above them.\n\n \n\n“So. Where is the shower?\" Jacob manages to ask.\n\n \n\n“We are actually standing in it. The whole room is a shower.\" The Scribe replies.\n\n \n\nJacob gets a tap on the shoulder and looks up to where the man is pointing. Attached to a very organic looking ceiling are multiple round bladder like pods, peppered with multiple bulging pores and a single vine hanging from them.\n\n \n\n“How does it work?\" He asks.\n\n \n\n“You simply give the vine a tug and it triggers the water pods.\" Larry replies from behind them.\n\n \n\nJacob immediately spins around and casts an accusing look at the man, who was now standing naked in the open double doors. The brighter interior lighting showed that he looked like any other farming man. He had a healthy tan and hair all over his body. The hair itself was dark brown and curly. The hair on his head was slightly bleached out by the summer sun. His eyes were hazel. Most importantly, there was no doubt he was the owner of the house and visually displayed an age that put him at least a full decade ahead of Jacob.\n\n \n\n“I think you need to explain this.\" Jacob suggests to the man and gestures around the room.\n\n \n\n“The house? This bathroom? Both?\" Larry inquires.\n\n \n\n“How about both, but the bathroom first.\"\n\n \n\nLarry steps into the bathroom and slowly paces around it.\n\n \n\n“I would be glad to do so kid. It was a gift from an Other, who had become a close friend, during my service with the Rangers at Anchor Maryl. I had no family and really had no desire to have a woman in my life. I loved being alone most of the time and thus why I was so good at being a scout. Although I don't look the part, I always kind of felt like a Nomad inside and prefer living outside anchor protection. During my service to Anchor Maryl, I became close friends with the Other who consistently had my back during some tight situations. Then after retirement, I acquired this old barn and together we fixed it up into a home for both of us. Thus why this place has curious proportions in some places. The mutual arrangement of help and protection works well for us. He watches and keeps my home safe, I give him a place to rest and eat. Pure and simple.\"\n\n \n\n“So where did you learn how to create a bathroom like this.\" Jacob asks.\n\n \n\n“That was his contribution.\"\n\n \n\n“I'm guessing Sam already knew about this.\"\n\n \n\n“Only recently. Turned out we previously knew each other, from back when he lived in Maryl.\"\n\n \n\n“Clearly he trusts you with someone as important as the Scribe.\"\n\n \n\n“I owed him one. The rest is obvious.\"\n\n \n\n“Up until tonight, I honestly thought people like you were more or less just a story.\"\n\n \n\n“Logical enough. I would think the same thing in your position.\"\n\n \n\nLarry stops pacing at the open doors and then walks out of the bathroom. Jacob and the Scribe just look at each other, then follow him out. The man then stops and turns around to face them.\n\n \n\n“It is beginning to get a little late for me, so I will excuse myself and be off to bed. I made sure the stallion is settled in and happy. The loft directly over the bathroom is all set for you two. Nice generous king size bed and quite comfortable. The sitting areas underneath the loft is equally cozy and... well... has large accommodations. After all, a bull man lives here too. He just happens to be out tonight on some patrol duty. One more thing. It's just us boys, you can finally loose the clothes and get more comfortable. You can even share the bed with me, if you like. The choice is yours.\"\n\n \n\nWith that Larry politely nodded to both men and then resumed walking towards one of the stairs and up into the loft that stretched over the pantry. Jacob and the Scribe look at each other again and shrug, before taking the other set of steps to their prepared loft. Although it looked quite sparse, it was well maintained and kept clean. The bed was positioned in the middle. Natural ventilation and primary day time illumination was supplied with a single large window on the wall at the front of the house.\n\n \n\n“I did forget one other thing.\" Came Larry's voice from the bed in the other loft. “All the crystals are connected. So when you are ready to kill the lights, just stroke one of them downwards and they all dim. Sleep well boys.\"\n\n \n\nThe Scribe walked over to a crystal on a pole and glided his hand in a long stroke downwards across it. The lighting in the house immediately reacted and went completely out. At this point, both noticed three projected squares appear on the floor and looked up to the sky lights the moon light was flooding through without interference. Jacob nodded with approval and sat down at the bed and began unlacing his boots. He would have many questions to be asking Sam the next day and hoped he had the time to do it. He felt the Scribe finally sit down on the other side, while slipping the boots off. He then got up, stripped his clothes off and simply tossed them to the floor, before sitting back down on the bed and stretching out naked over the sheets. The Scribe wasn't too far behind him and more or less flopped back down onto the bed.\n\n \n\n“Someone have an exhausting trip earlier today?\" Jacob quietly asks the man.\n\n \n\n“Ran into bad weather on the way to Anchor Carol. Horse carriages got stuck. Everyone pitched in to help and we got back on our way. Larry met me there and saw to me getting decent temporary clothes. He then brought me here. Ran into a Scavenger scout along the way. His bull man friend was nearby and helped deal with that situation, then escorted us here. Quite the day really.\"\n\n \n\nJacob hears the Scribe sigh heavily, then roles over and drapes his arm across the man's chest.\n\n \n\n“Better?\" He asks.\n\n \n\nThe Scribe puts his arm over the one on his chest.\n\n \n\n“Better.\"\n\n \n\n“You have a Ranger right here with you in this bed. Relax now and get some rest.\"\n\n \n\nBoth men soon close their eyes and drift off to sleep.\n\n \n\n \n\nJacob was the first to wake up and felt himself spooning the Scribe. He then smelled food being cooked and could hear signs of a fourth person being in the house. He was not ready to open his eyes just yet. Next he heard the man in front of him groan a little.\n\n \n\n“Mm. You know. If you plan on fucking me, then go ahead and push it in. If not, then can we please get up and see where that wonderful smell is coming from?\" The Scribe asks.\n\n \n\nAt this point, Jacob realized his throbbing morning erection was firmly lodged between the ass cheeks of the other man and actually leaking a little precum, while pushing a little against his anal entrance. He then felt the ass wiggle a little. He decided to push a little and the ass pushed back, as his cock then slid on through the other man's hole and inside him. He then felt an arm cross his own and a hand grip his ass cheek. The ass then begin to pull away a little and push back harder, making more of his cock sink inside that sensual warm hole.\n\n \n\n“Fuck yeah. You got a nice big cock. Now use it and fill me up.\" The Scribe encourages.\n\n \n\nJacob says nothing and begins moving his hips to slide his cock in and out of the man.\n\n \n\n“I guess someone needed this.\" He whispers into the man's ear.\n\n \n\n“Yeah.\"\n\n \n\nHe then uses his arm to grip the Scribe harder and begins thrusting a little faster, paying particular attention to rubbing his cock right over the prostate inside the man. Audible soft moans confirm he is doing it right and begins to fuck faster. The hand moves off his ass cheek and to the back of his head, as the man twists his body a little and raises his one leg up. Jacob shifts his arm around it and holds the leg up by the thigh, before increasing his thrusting pace even more.\n\n \n\n“That's it. Fuck me stud. Fuck me and make me cum.\" The Scribe encourages further.\n\n \n\nJacob's head is then gripped hard and pulled in a little, as the Scribe turns his own head towards him and crushes their lips together. Both open their mouths and explore each others oral cavity as much as they possibly can. Neither one desire to open their eyes. All that matters is to simply feel and....\n\n \n\n“Ah fuck Yes. Take my load.\" Jacob exclaims, as he unloads into the Scribe.\n\n \n\nThe fast thrusting and prostate stimulation from the spasming cock inside him, was all the other man needed to unleash his own load all over his belly.\n\n \n\n“That's it. Give it all to me.\" The Scribe responds.\n\n \n\nJacob can't help but slam in really hard, as the convulsing anal ring proceeds to milk his cock.\n\n \n\n“That ass feels so good around my cock.\" Jacob comments.\n\n \n\n“Glad I could help stud.\"\n\n \n\nBoth fall quiet and remain in place, as they slowly come down off their morning fuck high and cuddle with each other, in the rising morning sun bleeding through the loft balcony.\n\n \n\n \n\nMeanwhile downstairs Larry was finishing the last of the pancakes, being prepared over the corner wood stove, placed between the outside East wall of the house and partition wall of the pantry. The only thing occupying the partition wall was a single long counter, with overhead and bottom cabinets. Larry was wearing nothing but a baker's apron and humming along, as he stacked the very last pancakes on the third and final serving plate. He hears the noise upstairs and groaning behind him.\n\n \n\n“How about we wait until after breakfast before we do that.\" Larry teases over his shoulder, before turning around and proceeding to walk over to the table setting near the stairwell to his loft.\n\n \n\n“There. I think three plates should just about do it. What do you think Shad-...\"\n\n \n\nHe freezes the moment he turns around and spots his white bull man friend filling a large ceramic pitcher with sex syrup from his own balls. The bull man spots the dirty look on Larry's face.\n\n \n\n“What? It's not going to hurt them. It tastes just like normal syrup and... well... my acute ears picked up on our guests' morning sex and it got me worked up. So now we have pancake syrup.\"\n\n \n\nThe bull man cuts off the syrup flow and hoists the full ceramic pitcher in the air with a grin. Larry just sighs and then tilts his head up a little, before taking a deep breath.\n\n \n\n“Breakfast is ready! Come and get it!\" He announces.\n\n \n\nThe retired Ranger then looks his bull man friend right in the eyes and tries to remain series. That only lasts for two seconds and they both end up snickering loudly. Larry then spots his two guests beyond the bull man giving him an accusing look, as they walked by to the bathroom. His companion spots him focusing on something.\n\n \n\n“Oops. Were they already downstairs and behind me?\" The bull man asks out of concern.\n\n \n\n“You are fine. They just came down the stairs. Syrup secret is still safe silly.\" Larry assures him.\n\n \n\nBoth then walk over to the large round table. The bull man proceeds to sit down cross legged right on the floor, while setting the filled ceramic pitcher down and taking the last plate of pancakes from Larry. The man then slips his baking apron off and tosses it over the back of the chair next to the bull man, before sitting in it and pours himself some fruit juice from a nearby glass pitcher. He begins to slowly sip it and politely waits for the two guests, while both of them look across the table and through the open large window, across the grassy field. The sun had just come over the horizon and illuminated the morning mist rolling across it. Both inhaled deeply, taking in the familiar fading smells of a new morning. Their ears then pick up the sound of damp feet coming towards the table. Larry turns in his chair and his companion twists around to greet Jacob and the Scribe.\n\n \n\n“Morning gentlemen. This here big beautiful white beast is Shadow. He is the bull man I told you about last night.\" Larry announces.\n\n \n\nJacob looked to his side and spotted the Scribe simply staring at the bull man and gave him a polite elbow nudge in the side. The man responded my subtly shaking his head quickly and then looked at Jacob, before blushing a little.\n\n \n\n“It's okay Jacob. Everyone has the same reaction when seeing someone like Shadow for the first time. We all know the stories, but then have a completely different experience when seeing one in person. That and Shadow doesn't mind men staring at his body. He is rather proud of the fact for being one hundred percent white. Even makes his cock twitch a little.\" Larry teases.\n\n \n\nShadow turns his head and stares at Larry, letting out a pronounced snort. The man just cocks his head and sticks out his tongue back at the bull man, before looking back at the two guests.\n\n \n\n“No need to keep standing there. Come on over and have a seat. I'm sure you two are hungry and there is certainly plenty to eat.\" Larry finishes and turns back towards the table.\n\n \n\nShadow gently grabs the plates at the two empty chairs and loads them up with pancakes, before handing them to Jacob and the Scribe as they set down. He then proceeds to fill the other two empty plates, while Larry fills the remaining three glasses with fruit juice. Everyone then has a brief moment of silence, as they get a few bites of food in their stomachs.\n\n \n\n“Mind if I ask a question or two of you Shadow?\" The Scribe inquires and points at the syrup.\n\n \n\n“Go ahead.\" Shadow replies and hands him the pitcher.\n\n \n\n“How is it that you and Larry are so close now?\" The Scribe proceeds to drown the pancakes.\n\n \n\n“We slowly grew more comfortable with each other.\" Shadow notices the liberal pouring.\n\n \n\n“Before coming here and seeing you two, I honestly thought the Others and humans only worked together. Like everyone else, I heard my share of rumors about actual friendship developing between them...\" The Scribe then trailed off, before taking two large bites of pancake.\n\n \n\n“...but didn't consider it any more than that.\" Larry exchanges a quick glance with Shadow.\n\n \n\n“Yes. Now that I am seeing this for myself and noticed how open you two are with each other, it makes me wonder what else could be possible.\" The Scribe takes a big drink of the fruit juice.\n\n \n\n“Many things are.\" Shadow replies and places his hand over Larry's. The Scribe noticed.\n\n \n\n“Oh. Ohhh. You two are like a couple then?\"\n\n \n\n“Yes.\" Came the unified response.\n\n \n\n“Now that is quite fascinating.\" The Scribe adds another mouthful of syrup soaked pancake.\n\n \n\nEveryone took another quiet break and got more food inside them. Jacob then broke the silence.\n\n \n\n“Say Larry, we have to get dressed and be back at Anchor Georgia soon. Mind if we take a few pancakes for the road?\"\n\n \n\n“I had actually thought ahead to that and had some set aside in a wrapped basket.\"\n\n \n\nJacob looks over to the counter and spotted the basket, with the cloth inside wrapped around something protectively.\n\n \n\n“Thanks. I would like to stay sooner, but we Rangers do have a time table and the team will need to be ready for departure within an hour at least.\" He reminds Larry.\n\n \n\n“Sure. Sure. I know how it is. You boys go ahead and get dressed now. Shadow and I will make sure the horse and cart are ready for you two.\"\n\n \n\n“Appreciate that sir.\" The Scribe added.\n\n \n\nLarry waves his hand to excuse them both, as they get up and grab one last drink of juice from their glasses. Him and Shadow watch them depart up the stairs and then nod to each other, before getting up and depart for the attached stable, through the double doors in between the stairs. Jacob and the Scribe were rather quick with getting their clothes on. He then noticed his appointed travel companion begin to acquire an intense searching posture and pace around the loft.\n\n \n\n“Missing something?\"\n\n \n\n“My back pack. It has my journal and... well... everything.\"\n\n \n\n“Maybe you left it down stairs.\"\n\n \n\n“Possible. Will have to see if Larry has it.\"\n\n \n\n“Well you were quite tired last night and fell asleep as fast as me.\"\n\n \n\n“We should get downstairs then and ask him.\"\n\n \n\n“Sounds like a plan.\" Jacob encourages, with a supportive clap on the shoulder.\n\n \n\nBy the time they were downstairs and out the open front doors, Larry and Shadow had just brought the horse and cart around to the front. The bull man was doing one last check of the straps and Larry was standing nearby holding a back pack. The Scribe sighed with exasperation, then quickly exited through the screen doors and briskly walked up to the man. Larry could tell he was both annoyed with himself and embarrassed.\n\n \n\n“Thanks for taking care of this.\" The Scribe commented.\n\n \n\n“I knew what kind of day you had and saw you literally drop the back pack by the front door, the moment you came into the house. You didn't even bother to recognize you did that, while getting refreshed on the glass of water I retrieved for you. Or after we had a brief conversation about the day and heard Jacob come up to the house. It's all good kid.\"\n\n \n\nLarry handed him the back pack and then leaned in to give the Scribe a hug.\n\n \n\n“Your basket of food is already in the cart.\" Shadow announced from beyond the horse.\n\n \n\n“Whoa. You guys are big. That horse looks like a mere Great Dane standing next to you.\"\n\n \n\nThe other three just chuckled at the innocence of the Scribe's observation, before he walked around to the other side of the cart and stepped up into it. Larry and Jacob exchanged a thorough handshake and clasped each others forearm.\n\n \n\n“Always vigilante.\" Larry started.\n\n \n\n“Always watchful.\" Jacob finished.\n\n \n\n“Be safe out there brother.\"\n\n \n\nBoth smiled and nodded to each other, before Jacob stepped up into the cart and took the reins from Larry. Shadow walked over and stood with the man, with his hands resting on his shoulders. Jacob emitted two tongue clicks and the horse immediately began pulling the cart down the dirt driveway. Both men made it a point to turn and wave back at the retired Ranger and bull man, after the horse picked up the pace and trotted off the drive onto the road. Larry and Shadow both walked over to the nearby fence and waved back, while watching them proceed down the road and then disappear into the woods. The bull man then bent over slightly and gently gripped Larry's sides, while bringing his muzzle to the man's ear\n\n \n\n“A shame they both couldn't have stayed longer. Could have been a fun breakfast. Speaking of fun. Ready to drown these pancakes in syrup?\" Shadow suggested while patting Larry's belly.\n\n \n\n“Sounds good to me.\" Larry replies and rubs the large hand sensually with his own.\n\n \n\nThe bull man then guided him to step up onto the bottom and then middle cross piece of the wooden fence, before wrapping his arms around him and resting his head on a shoulder. Larry felt the lubed dripping bovine spear slip in between his ass cheeks.\n\n \n\n“Ready?\"\n\n \n\n“Ready.\"\n\n \n\nShadow gripped him a little tight and pushed his tapered penis past the anal ring and inside the man in one slow sensual progression. He felt the presence of the man's prostate and intentionally applied a little pressure against it, gliding on over it and eliciting a moan from Larry. He then paused.\n\n \n\n“Should we fuck or do you just want to be filled?\"\n\n \n\n“Just fill me.\" Larry then allowed himself to lean back against the bull man.\n\n \n\nShadow then resumed his gradual sensual plunge into the guts of his human lover. He completely relaxed his penis and allowed himself to sink inside the man super deep, while not stopping until he could feel the tufted hairs of his sheath brush inside the ass cheeks of the man. He then stopped and gradually began releasing control over the flow of the sex syrup out of his balls. He craned his neck back a little and bent his muzzle down to begin licking the shoulder sensually. Long strokes across his muscular neck, by the hand and arm attached to that same shoulder, told him he was taking care of his human lover properly. His ears twitched at the sound of gurgling coming from the man's belly and he watched with controlled anticipation, as it began to show signs of slowly expanding outwards. There was no need to ask. Larry always wanted to go all the way and be overfilled every time.\n\n \n\n \n\nThe ride through the woods was spent eating the pancakes in the basket and the two men casually catching up on each other's recent life. As they drew close to Anchor Georgia, they could have sworn they heard water being splashed, while also hearing some women scream and laugh.\n\n \n\n“What woman is brave enough to be this far out from town?\" The Scribe asked.\n\n \n\n“I'm betting it's the Fun Girls Clark and Matt planned on spending some time with.\"\n\n \n\n“Two of the men on your squad I take it?\"\n\n \n\n“Yup.\" Jacob answers while grabbing another pancake from the opened basket.\n\n \n\n“Wouldn't like the whole squad be there too.\"\n\n \n\nJacob shakes his head and swallows.\n\n \n\n“The twins are currently on this fuck-every-married-man-until-he-can-barely-walk kick.\"\n\n \n\nThe Scribe's eyes got big.\n\n \n\n“Then there is the new guys who actually look a lot like you. Even have your eyes.\"\n\n \n\nThe eyes returned to normal and his brow furrowed a bit. Jacob noticed and chuckled.\n\n \n\n“I said look like... not exactly like you. They are definitely pure blooded Nomads.\"\n\n \n\n“Oh. Okay.\"\n\n \n\n“You will get to meet them soon enough. First we need to see about getting this horse and cart returned to the stable. From there it is a fairly short walk to the Ranger base camp.\"\n\n \n\nThe Scribe nods and notices a large familiar type structure up ahead beyond the breaking of the treeline. As they clear the woods, he notices someone standing right in the road just outside the open back entrance, wearing nothing but overalls and work boots. The man looked to not be very old and had a thin beard on his face, that matched his blond hair on top.\n\n \n\n“Who is that?\" He asks.\n\n \n\n“That is Mark. He is the overnight stable hand that looks after the place. The dress code for working attire is more relaxed on his shift. We only ask they wear the boots and make sure the bottom half of them is covered and protected for the work during the warmer summer nights. Overalls are simply more practical for such circumstances.\"\n\n \n\n“Sure. That makes sense. So much new stuff to learn about this particular Anchor.\"\n\n \n\n“Well then. I can fill you in on more stuff that happens around Anchor Georgia, during our little stroll to base camp. Sound good to you?\"\n\n \n\n“I appreciate that.\"\n\n \n\nThe horse and cart then come to a stop right where Mark was standing. Jacob tosses the reins to him and hops off the cart.\n\n \n\n“Morning Mark. How was your night?\"\n\n \n\n“Uneventful as usual. So plenty of time to do more reading.\"\n\n \n\n“Good. Good.\"\n\n \n\nThe Scribe then appears behind Jacob.\n\n \n\n“This here is a visiting Scribe. He will be staying a while and going with us on the excursion.\"\n\n \n\nBoth silently nod to each other. Jacob then notices the front of Mark's overalls had some sort of dried residue on it.\n\n \n\n“So if your night was uneventful. How did that happen?\" Jacob asks and points at Mark.\n\n \n\n“What happ-... Oh.\" He looks down to where the man is pointing. “That is from earlier this morning. Someone brought me breakfast. Would have enjoyed it too, if it wasn't for tripping and crushing the whole basket underneath me.\"\n\n \n\n“It smells like there was a whole breakfast feast in that basket.\" The Scribe comments.\n\n \n\n“A feast? Ah, the maple and spicy smell. Got some of the syrup in me and the rest ran everywhere. The sausage was still intact and tasted so good.\"\n\n \n\n“No one will be complaining about random glass finding it's way into a horse hoof, will they?\"\n\n \n\n“No sir Jacob. Got it all cleaned up.\"\n\n \n\n“Very good. Well we need to get going to the base camp. Be sure to take care of the stallion properly, then get home and cleaned up, before getting your rest.\"\n\n \n\n“Will do.\" Mark replies, as he leads the horse and cart away into the stable.\n\n \n\n“Now. Let's see about that basic introduction to Anchor Georgia.\" Jacob says to the Scribe.\n\n \n\n“Sounds good to me.\"\n\n \n\nBoth then proceed to take the barely visible dirt road, along a few buildings towards the base camp and immediately engage in the planned conversation. Mark tends to disconnecting the stallion and getting the cart put up, before giving the horse a proper brush down in his assigned stall. Afterwards he walks back to the exit end of the stable and looks around outside, checking for signs of any other people. Being this early in the morning, it was very unlikely.\n\n \n\n“Okay. It looks all clear.\" He calls back over his shoulder quietly.\n\n \n\nA very big figure emerges out of the shadows within the stable and walks right up behind Mark, plopping a flaccid dripping equine shaft over his shoulder. The horse man himself was dark brown, if not black, with a white blaze stretching along the top of his muzzle. A large white hand gently came down on the opposite shoulder and the man's head.\n\n \n\n“Did you enjoy yourself earlier?\" The deep baritone voice asked.\n\n \n\nAll the man could do was turn his head towards the draped horse cock and nod slowly, as he licked his lips and stuck a hand inside his overalls. It went right for his ass and scooped a little of the sex syrup in between his ass cheeks, before moving to his front and began stroking a cock that was already half erect. It was still a little damp from the mind shattering blow job the horse man gave him earlier. He had never experienced anything that intense or cum so much in his life.\n\n \n\n“Looks like you are ready for more. Will this be possible at your house?\"\n\n \n\nMark keeps watching the dripping equine shaft and nods slowly again.\n\n \n\n“Well then. I best be on my way and will be waiting there, when you get home. Then we can see about filling you and making your belly round, before draining it all out of you through your cock again. Sound like a plan fuck toy?\"\n\n \n\nThe sheer implication of having that experience again so soon and remembering how amazing it was the previous night, triggered him to have a minor orgasm right in his stroking hand. The horse man held him steady with the hand from the shoulder and placed it gently on the man's chest. Mark leaned back against one leg and shuddered through the orgasm that crashed into his mind like a tidal wave.\n\n \n\n“I will take that as a Yes.\"\n\n \n\nThey both stood there for a little longer and then Mark regained his sense of composure. The horse man offered to finish cleaning him up with his tongue back inside the stable, before leaving for the man's house at the edge of the anchor. Morning shift relief arrived promptly to a well maintained horse stable, with no sign of the intense breeding that had occurred earlier. Mark was clean as well.\n\n \n\n \n\nJacob had finally arrived at the base camp main entrance with the Scribe and finished the generalized description of the anchor daily activities, along with added extra information about the Rangers specifically and a quick lesson on proper excursion back pack organization. He noticed his walking companion's demeanor begin to change and signs of discomfort began showing on the man's face. They walked a little further into the base camp and then stopped to take a break.\n\n \n\n“You okay there?\" He asks the Scribe.\n\n \n\n“Just some minor stomach discomfort. It came kind of fast and seems to be leaving just as quickly. I should be fine in a moment. Must be the syrup back at Larry's house. I never had any so good and forgot one should pace themselves with new stuff that tastes that rich.\"\n\n \n\n“Yeah. Noticed you coating those pancakes pretty thoroughly. I wasn't much in the mood for syrup this morning and had to pass.\"\n\n \n\n“Ah, okay.\" The scribe takes a few deep breaths. “Say, I kind of faded out when you were talking about the Rangers here. Could you go over that again.\"\n\n \n\n“You think that is really necessary?\"\n\n \n\n“It will take my mind off the discomfort as it passes.\"\n\n \n\nJacob then catches sight of Matt and Clark sneaking around Felix and John's tent nearby in his peripheral vision. He looks right at Matt and the man looks right back. They both just nod at each other, as Matt resumes his path to the tent entrance, with what looked like a rather sluggish Clark trailing behind him. He was hoping everything was fine with Clark or he would basically nail Matt's ass to the wall for any real damage done.\n\n \n\n“Alright. One good distraction coming right up.\"\n\n \n\nJacob looks ahead to their destination within the camp and notices Sam is already there. His peripheral vision then catches sight of the twins going into the nearby tent. Good. Everyone present and accounted for.\n\n \n\n“My name is Jacob and the other excursion team leader is Sam. Like all men, we figure out what we are good at and become effective contributing members of Anchor Georgia. We call the settlements surrounding the Forbidden Mist Mountains anchors, because they are literally anchors of the entire massive symbiotic community that has evolved in this region over many generations. We are all proud of what has been accomplished here and fight alongside each other, when fending off Scavengers during attempted incursions. I'm not sure how the Others are perceived by humans at other similar regional communities, but we have come to view them as people just like us. Today is orientation day for the youngest excursion team members. It is a chance to see just how much they have learned. The purpose of these teams is to maintain regular patrols along the edge of the persistent mist and relieve members at look out posts created to detect signs of Scavenger incursions from afar. Easy to do when you place such look out posts along the side of a mountain range. Each anchor has its own share of lookout posts to maintain and excursion teams to deploy for needed support. Sam and I will be doing all the training on how to be a proper excursion team member and do the assigned duties, when called upon for them. Due to the mountain terrain being quite demanding, a minimum and maximum age limit is firmly set for excursion teams. No older than thirty and no younger than eighteen. So it seems we are always training new young kids who have the energy to power themselves along the established patrol trails. Some stick with it and carry on like us, the majority find the task being an excursion team member a little too demanding.\"\n\n \n\nHe then notices the Scribe's demeanor improve and decides they can resume walking into the base camp. One glance behind him and he spots the rest of the excursion team leave the tent. The version of Clark that left it looked to be in better shape. Matt gets spared humiliation. Everyone begins forming into the usual two man pairs behind him, as they begin drawing closer to Sam at the other end of the base camp. The Scribe's temporary condition was not only fading fast, but his eyes had the look of him devoting full attention to everything Jacob was saying.\n\n \n\n“I know you have many questions. Some were given to you by Anchor Council Elders and others are likely questions of your own. I can at least answer a couple of them. This excursion is rather special and hopefully will deliver answers to the questions given to you to ask the Others. Both us and the elders mutually agreed that a objective outside perspective was required, to accurately record what we may or may not encounter on this special excursion. It is no big secret that the behavior of the Others has changed recently. They are taking a more invested interest in the persistent biological plight of our community. Who knows. They may have a solution to the problem with our women not living for very long. Maybe an alternative. Something like what is talked about in the stories about the ancient times. Whatever the situation is with the Others, we have now been ordered by the elders and openly welcomed by the Others to penetrate deeper into the forbidden territory. We also have been assured that a solution has been found and we are the chosen group to bring that back with us. Just when you thought that life in this changed world was finally settling into a normal routine, then something like this manifests and demonstrates that there are still more surprises beyond the horizon.\"\n\n \n\n“I think my questions can wait for now.\" The Scribe humbly answers with a polite smile.\n\n \n\nJacob watched the Scribe step aside and go through his back pack, to make sure everything was where it needed to be in it for efficient excursion use.\n\n \n\n“So, first impression of the new guy?\" He asks Sam.\n\n \n\n“He has Felix and John's distinct eyes and yet has no other Nomad features. That is curious.\" Sam replies dryly, while closing his back pack and then standing up, before putting it on. “So, you mentioned last night he is a Scribe and was sent here via direct orders of the Elders at Anchor Kent?\"\n\n \n\n“Something like that. He wouldn't say much more about it, while I showed him how to properly pack for these excursions, earlier this morning back at the anchor.\" Jacob adds.\n\n \n\nSam and the Scribe look directly at each other, before he moves his head in a gesture for the man to join them. He then proceeds to walk in the man's direction, just as he gets on his feet.\n\n \n\n“Hey Jacob. Is everything okay?\" Lewis asks him from behind.\n\n \n\n“Everything is fine.\" Jacob replies back over his shoulder. \"Sam is just being thorough as usual. We are not due to leave for the patrol outpost yet. Everyone feel free to socialize and get to know the new guy. He will be with us for a few days on this excursion.\"\n\n \n\nFelix and John immediately part form the group and approach the Scribe, to join in on the developing conversation.\n\n \n\n“We can socialize with him later. We really should check on Clark and Matt.\" Lewis replies.\n\n \n\n“Yeah. In case you had not noticed, they are dragging a bit this morning.\" Trent adds.\n\n \n\n“Just be ready when Sam is ready.\" Jacob reminds them.\n\n \n\n“Will do.\" Came the unified response from the twins, before they walked over to the men.\n\n \n\nHe watches them for a short while, then directs his attention over to the very involved conversation between the Nomad brothers and The Scribe. The three seem to have a lot in common. If he heard correctly, Possible family blood ties.\n\n \n\n“I remember reading about the bad Scavenger attack, from many years ago, in the History Archive at Anchor Kent. It was a really important moment and turning point in relations between Anchor and Nomad people. Mom rarely talked about her time living with Nomads that final year. From what I read in the History Archive, things were getting bad beyond the safety of Anchor living.\"\n\n \n\nThe Scribe certainly knows his history.\n\n \n\n“Hey, there's my old reliable contrarian-pain-in-the-ass-wingman.\" Jacob hears from behind.\n\n \n\n“Oh I am definitely waking up and ready to fix any mess you create.\" Clark to the rescue.\n\n \n\nJacob glances over his shoulder, to see Both Clark and Matt burst out laughing. Sam then raises his voice slightly and chimes in with the Nomad brothers and the Scribe.\n\n \n\n“The new mutual alliance of protection, that formed between the Others and the rest of us, changed things for the better and so here we are. How about we let the rest of the family reunion wait until after we are on the trail in the mountain mist.\"\n\n \n\nEveryone in the group chuckles, while grabbing their packs and form a single file line, before departing from the base camp on the trail ahead of the excursion departure point. Sam was at the beginning, with John and Trent behind him. Jacob had the Scribe positioned ahead of Felix, while him and Lewis remained at the back. Clark was then positioned after John and Trent, leaving Matt in the middle right in front of the Scribe. This marching formation was thoroughly discussed the previous day, in the evening, before everyone went their separate ways and did their own thing during the night.\n\n \n\n“Well look at me Whitey. I'm the man in the middle, holding it all together.\" Quips Matt.\n\n \n\n“Don't let it go to your head Skin. Nothing there to keep it from escaping.\" Clark retorts.\n\n \n\n“Whitey is just jealous that I look good, because I can tan.\" Jacob catches Matt whispering.\n\n \n\n“Meanwhile, the girls just melt over my perfectly soft white mane on my head.\" Clark chides.\n\n \n\n“I don't know. Some girls like a smooth man.\"\n\n \n\nAnd here we go. There are some days that really makes Jacob wonder what motivates Clark to continue putting up with all the self absorbed petty posturing Matt seems to effortlessly spew out of his mouth as casually as a grown man pisses on a bush.\n\n \n\n“When you two bitter old ladies are done cutting each other down, I like for you to start conserving your air supply for the trail incline up ahead of us.\" Sam shouts back at Clark and Matt.\n\n \n\nSam had a way with words and was good at ending arguments or disputes. The rest of the hike to the observation post was more civil, as the team began making the ascent along the actual mountainside trail. This was where the mist became denser and Jacob was not sure how informed the Scribe was about one of it's more inconvenient properties.\n\n \n\n“Hey Scribe.\" Jacob speaks from around Felix.\n\n \n\nThe man looks back and spots Jacob gesturing with his head to fall back with him. He steps aside and pauses to let Felix pass him by, before resuming right next to Jacob.\n\n \n\n“I wanted to talk to you about the special pouch on the underwear we have you wearing on this excursion. It's rather essential to have for some reasons that may be obvious to you. But there is one more that is a bit more essential for going into the mist.\" He says quietly.\n\n \n\nThe Scribe gives him a questioning look.\n\n \n\n“The dense mist has something in it that affects men a certain way, leaving them walking around with persistent stiff cocks the whole time they are immersed in it. So while we are at this point on the trail, feel free to make sure you are properly adjusted down there and have your cock pointing up inside the sleeve. It will make walking a lot more comfortable. Oh, one more thing. Use some of this to prevent chaffing and take enough in your fingers to fill a big stirring spoon.\" Jacob presents an opened squat jar four fingers deep, filled with a white salve and holds it in front of you, after nudging you to stop. “Don't spread it around. Just reach down to the pouch and use the fabric to completely scrape it off your fingers. The body heat radiating from your hard cock will do the rest for you.\"\n\n \n\nHe bobs it in front of the Scribe, for encouragement, before the man finally dipped his fingers into the jar and did exactly as instructed. Jacob waits for the expected unspoken look in his eyes, to tell him the slave was successfully applied and done just in time. The man very likely already had an erection inside his underwear.\n\n \n\n“Now that you explained it a little better, it makes more sense. I remember my dad actually talking one day about this feature of the dense mist, in a joking manner with me as a young boy. We both had a good laugh out of it. My journal I carry with me has all the Nomad stuff he taught me. Considering the nature of our assignment, I think it will be very handy to have for guidance.\"\n\n \n\nThe Scribe seemed to have made a rather valid point, before departing and returning to his place in the line. Jacob made sure he remembered the reference to the man's journal. The hike up the sloping trail continued to be civil, until they arrived at the Suppressor checkpoint. Matt always made a big deal out of this and it was always Clark who set him straight about why they do this every time. Jacob simply remained in place and waited out the expected predictable dispute, that was about to happen, with rather detached interest.\n\n \n\n“Oh joy. Suppressor time.\" You barely hear Matt mumble with sarcasm and groans.\n\n \n\n“Suppres-...\" The Scribe begins to say, before getting a polite poke in the back from Lewis.\n\n \n\n“Sex Drive Suppressors to counteract the affects of the mist.\" Came the volunteered answer.\n\n \n\n“Yup. Suppressors. Can't have the men being distracted by their hormones and dicks while on duty along the patrol trail.\" Clark flatly states.\n\n \n\n“I still don't see the point with a proper breeder...\" Matt almost completes his protest.\n\n \n\n“...like you.\" Clark interrupts and finishes, followed by a few snickers.\n\n \n\n“I like my women and only my women. I don't swing and therefore don't see the point.\"\n\n \n\n“And here we go.\" Jacob says softly enough to himself, that no one else hears him. He then notices a break in the usual correcting routine that Clark delivers each time. It was rather blunt.\n\n \n\n“Your dick simply reacts to what feels good. That is the pure and simple truth about male sexuality. The only supportive audience of this single-minded-misguided-personal-plight exists out there among the Scavengers.\" Whoa. Clark looks slightly pissed this time.\n\n \n\nJacob spots Matt scoot back defensively. As if some made a jab at his own cock.\n\n \n\n“We still have a choice and I made mine at one point. Don't plan on changing my mind anytime soon either. Just give me the girls and I'm all good.\" Mat challenges.\n\n \n\n“Everyone start playing your violins. I feel a grand speech coming on.\" Clark announces.\n\n \n\n“You take the Suppressor or I throw your ass back down the mountainside to the base camp you came from meat. Don't need you loosing control and then try to hump everything on legs that has a pulse. You make This choice right here and now.\" Came a familiar commanding response.\n\n \n\n“I guess I will take the Suppressor.\" Matt answers the man reluctantly.\n\n \n\n“ 'I guess I will take the Suppressor' What?\" The commanding voice asked sternly.\n\n \n\n“I guess I will take the Suppressor, Sir.\" Matt repeated loud enough for everyone to hear.\n\n \n\nJacob then waited for the sequential progression through the checkpoint doorway to resume. After everyone else passed through. It was his turn. The checkpoint officer nodded his head in the direction of Matt's back, then both of them exchanged knowing glances and snickered. Jacob gave the officer an appreciative pat on the shoulder.\n\n \n\n“Carry on Ranger.\" He complimented, as he stepped into the observation post.\n\n \n\nNow that the first leg of the journey was out of the way, he needed to find Sam and catch up with him about how the talk with Hank last night proceeded. He soon found out that was simply something that was not going to happen. It was like the man disappeared. So now what. He then spotted the Nomad brothers and briskly walked towards them.\n\n \n\n“Hey guys, wait up a bit.\" He called towards them loud enough to get their attention and give them pause at the open double doors to a service chamber.\n\n \n\n“Sure, Jacob. What can we do for you?\" Felix asked.\n\n \n\n“Mind if I share this chamber with you two. Sam seems to have disappeared again.\"\n\n \n\nBoth brothers just looked at each other and shrugged.\n\n \n\n“Sure.\" They replied in unison, before all three went inside.\n\n \n\n“I need to ask a couple questions.\" Jacob mentioned after closing the doors and setting his back pack down on one of the two benches inside.\n\n \n\n“Such as...\" John suggested, as the brothers sat down and began unlacing their boots.\n\n \n\n“I think Sam might be up to something.\" The brothers stopped after one boot came off.\n\n \n\n“Like a prank or something?\" Felix asked, before taking the other boot off.\n\n \n\n“Or something.\" Jacob replied, as he began removing his boots and pants ahead of the brothers.\n\n \n\nBoth of them could tell he had been doing this routine a lot longer than them, when seeing him pull his shirt over his head and they were just getting their pants off.\n\n \n\n“So where should we start?\" John asked after finally getting completely naked with Jacob.\n\n \n\n“How about with him breaking years of routine, having me go retrieve the Scribe on my own.\"\n\n \n\nFelix paused halfway through his shirt and briefly peaked his eyes above the collar. Then swiftly yanked it the rest of the way off over his head.\n\n \n\n“Any idea where he would have gone instead?\"\n\n \n\n“He at least told me that much. He said he had rather pressing business to discuss with Hank. Lewis and Trent's dad. The fact that it was something that really could not wait, is what struck me as odd. I'm not worried or anything. Just curious. Any ideas?\"\n\n \n\nAll three naked men proceeded with the ritual of stepping into the chamber and triggering the process with touching the orange organic walls.\n\n \n\n“Maybe he wanted additional personal details about the brothers.\" John suggested\n\n \n\nThe organic splitting sound echoed through the chamber.\n\n \n\n“Something possibly more personal for him and nothing to do with a prank.\" Felix Added.\n\n \n\nThe men watched the tendrils descend.\n\n \n\n“Pretty much my own assumptions as well. Just needed to check on possibilities I may have missed and didn't want to leave out any unexplored ones. Been asking around with everyone and pretty satisfied with the results.\" Jacob admitted.\n\n \n\nHe then began guiding the proper thicker tendrils to their destinations on his body, while watching the Nomad brothers do the same. No one said anything else after that and simply let themselves get fully attached, as they became fully suspended and the chamber began the servicing process. Their session didn't last all that long and soon they were back on their feet. Jacob was released and free first, so he volunteered to go retrieve the fresh towels. By the time he returned, John and Felix were free as well. The brothers decided to add more to the conversation.\n\n \n\n“We saw Sam out in the woods this morning.\" John started.\n\n \n\n“After we finished picking mushrooms.\" Felix resumed.\n\n \n\n“Apparently he was spying on Lewis and Trent.\"\n\n \n\n“While they were both plowing some man ass.\"\n\n \n\n“Pretty sure he had been watching the whole time.\"\n\n \n\n“Yeah. He even made the comment about it being worth beating off to.\"\n\n \n\n“So where in the woods did you spot him?\" Jacob asked while walking back to the entrance.\n\n \n\n“Just outside the base camp.\" John answered, after approaching a bench.\n\n \n\n“Long distance from Hank's farm. I guess he spent the night there.\" Jacob assessed.\n\n \n\n“So, you left to pick up the Scribe last night?\" Felix asked and walked towards John.\n\n \n\n“We wanted to make sure he was coming today and there were no changes or interruptions that would prevent him from getting here.\" Jacob answered, as he began getting dressed.\n\n \n\n“So you managed to travel in between anchors at night without incident?\" John asked.\n\n \n\n“It was Sam's idea and grateful it worked.\"\n\n \n\nBoth Nomad brothers looked at each other with furrowed eyebrows.\n\n \n\n“Out with it.\" Jacob noticed, as he began sliding on his pants.\n\n \n\nThe brothers proceeded to get their shirt and pants on, before speaking again.\n\n \n\n“We thought the only way one could achieve safe night passage in between the anchors, was via Other escort...\" John started, as he sat down and began lacing his boots.\n\n \n\n“...or traveling with someone like the Fun Girls and have transport that is armed.\" Felix finished, as he finally sat down and began lacing his boots as well.\n\n \n\n“Maybe an Other was keeping an eye on me and preferred to stay hidden.\" Jacob suggested.\n\n \n\nBoth brothers finished and got back on their feet, before looking at each other and nodded.\n\n \n\n“Okay then. This string of questions certainly went an unexpected direction.\"\n\n \n\nEveryone laughed softly and gathered their back packs, before proceeding out of the chamber and back into the observation post. They spotted Sam and the Scribe, then walked towards them.\n\n \n\n“Looks like Sam reappeared.\" John starts.\n\n \n\n“Then shared a chamber with the Scribe.\" Felix finishes.\n\n \n\n“At least that is normal or routine enough.\" Jacob comments.\n\n \n\nHe allows the brothers to drift away and spots the Scribe looking right at him. He stops and motions with his head to follow him to where he came from and begin talking. As soon as the man gets close enough, he motions again with his hand to follow him up to the better illuminated wide open end of the observation post.\n\n \n\n“Sam and I thought it would be a good idea to inform you about a handy detail with the ascent up the mountain and deeper into the fog. As you already know, nothing electrical works in the mountains, so we will be using these for navigation.\" Jacob hands him an ancient mechanical compass. A noticeable mark had been put on the glass face. “The mark placed on these is to help us find which way to go, in the event we end up getting separated inside the denser mist. In fact we are expecting it. So once you do get separated from us, just take this in your hand and turn until the needle lines up with North. Then look which way the mark then points. Simply walk in that direction and keep the needle pointing North. Eventually you will reach the place where the mist thins and the Others live.\"\n\n \n\n“Anything I can add or contribute, before we begin the walk up the mountains?\"\n\n \n\nJacob went through his memory real quick and then remembered mention of a journal.\n\n \n\n“Well. It sure would be handy if each of us get a turn at glancing over your journal and then have a basic idea about some of the things we might encounter in the mountain mist. That sort of information will definitely be handy for when getting separated.\"\n\n \n\n“Sure. I would also be happy to answer any questions that may get asked.\" The Scribe offers, as he reaches into his back pack and pulls out the journal, then hands it over to Jacob.\n\n \n\n“I'm sure there will be a few of them.\" Sam says, as he approaches from behind the man.\n\n \n\nJacob was hoping now would be a good opportunity to at least get an update on the discussion with Hank. Instead, San assumed his usual announcement posture and that idea faded fast.\n\n \n\n“Okay. Listen up team. You already know the rather unique nature of this assignment. Everyone gave us all the information they had back at the base camp.\" Jacob announces and with an approving nod from the Scribe, takes the journal and holds it up into the air for everyone to see. “Our guest Scribe is in possession of a journal that has a lot of handy Nomad stuff in it, that his Dad knew about the part of the mountains us Rangers are about to go into for the very first time. Take your time going over what is written and pictured, then command it to memory. It very well could keep you from becoming a hapless idiot that decided to touch the wrong kind of plant, just because it looks pretty.\"\n\n \n\nSnickers and chuckles got passed around the excursion group. With an approving nod from the man again. Jacob immediately hands the journal directly over to Matt and then walks over to the open end of the patrol outpost with Sam. The Scribe follows close behind, as Matt opens the journal and begins thumbing through the pages. All three of them simply stand and watch the thick mist roll lazily across the mountain trail outside. The shared conversation among the other six was quickly getting animated. Jacob seized this opportunity and shuffled close to Sam.\n\n \n\n“So how did the visit with Hank go?\" He asks quietly.\n\n \n\n“It went very well. The man can still cook a mean chilly too.\"\n\n \n\nBoth chuckle softly.\n\n \n\n“Find out anything relevant to the twins advancement as squad leaders?\"\n\n \n\n“Hanks eyes really lit up, when he found out how close they were in their training.\"\n\n \n\n“I'll bet. He mention anything noteworthy about their brief absence from service and their progress with recovery from that disastrous excursion last year?\"\n\n \n\n“We discussed it over the chilly by the camp fire.\"\n\n \n\n“A camp fire. Talk about traditional.\"\n\n \n\n“He picked the setting that made him most comfortable for discussing the subject.\"\n\n \n\n“Judging from the banter behind us, we don't have much time left.\"\n\n \n\n“I can tell you the details later. Suffice it to say Hank is confident they are ready.\"\n\n \n\n“So all systems go for our retirement?\"\n\n \n\n“It certainly looks that way.\"\n\n \n\n“Have you told Megan yet or you waiting until we come back from this one.\"\n\n \n\nSam half choked and half coughed softly.\n\n \n\n“What do you think?\"\n\n \n\n“Yeah. Same here. I'm waiting to tell Lucy until after this excursion myself.\"\n\n \n\n“That way it becomes one hundred percent official.\"\n\n \n\nJacob then notices the banter behind them has ceased.\n\n \n\n“Sounds like they finally got the journal information sorted out.\"\n\n \n\nHe then turns and notices Clark returning the journal to the Scribe.\n\n \n\n“Your dad certainly knew a lot of... interesting things.\" Clark comments from behind him and hands the journal over the shoulder. The Scribe turns his head and acknowledges the man with a smirk.\n\n \n\n“Did you see that Sam?\" Jacob quietly asks.\n\n \n\n“I sure did. I wonder what that was all about?\"\n\n \n\nThey both then look at each other and shrug, before Sam turns around and walks a little back into the observation post. Jacob and the Scribe follow and then stand near him.\n\n \n\n“Alright. Everyone form up in the manner I call you out and let's get this little nature hike underway. Felix and John, you take point with the Scribe here. Lewis and Trent, you fall in with me next. Clark and Matt, you hang back with Jacob.\" Sam announces. “We are to proceed slowly and steadily up the mountainside. Those taking point will find the safest path and mark it, by tethering one of these to a tree\" He pulls from his back pack a arm length narrow leather band, two fingers wide and with a semi clear ball the size of a walnut attached, then holds it over his head. “Just give them a firm shake and they will begin to glow. The glow lasts for about one hour.\" The device is put back into the back pack, before Sam slings it around for proper transport. “The point men will go first and maintain a walking distance of twenty paces ahead of my group. Jacob and his group will maintain the same walking distance behind us. Are there any questions?\" None were spoken. “ Very good then, let's move out Rangers.\"\n\n \n\nJacob was not too keen on the idea of sharing a walk into territory that historically made Matt a little jittery. The disastrous excursion from the previous year probably didn't help with that at all. But according to the therapist he ordered Matt to visit weekly, the man had made a lot of progress and was at the least not bothered by the mist anymore. His current attitude towards his own personal sexuality and the removal of all bodily hair, was just part of creating the new persona as a coping mechanism. The therapist assured both him and Sam that it would pass. He takes a deep breath and walks right up to Clark and Matt.\n\n \n\n“Once we get a good ascent pace going up the mountainside, I have some thoughts I want to bounce off of you two. You game for that sort of conversation?\" He asks both of them.\n\n \n\n“Sure.\" they answer in unison.\n\n \n\n“Great. Let's get going then.\"\n\n \n\nClark and Matt followed Jacob out into the open air and into the rolling mist. It wasn't all that thick at this altitude, but a quick glance up the mountainside showed a completely different situation. All three of them stopped and watched the Scribe activate the first beacon, then successfully secure it.\n\n \n\n“He is definitely keen on outdoor stuff. It's not just a hair and eye color.\" Matt comments.\n\n \n\n“Cute Nomad joke. Got any more?\" Jacob calls back behind him.\n\n \n\n“No sir.\" Both reply in unison.\n\n \n\nAll three wait patiently as Sam and the twins begin to walk forward.\n\n \n\n“Before we go any further. I need to know you are still okay Matt.\"\n\n \n\nJacob turns around and looks past Clark right at him.\n\n \n\n“I'm all good sir.\" He replies confidently.\n\n \n\nJacob glances towards Clark, then nods and turns back around.\n\n \n\nSam and the twins were now at the twenty pace distance.\n\n \n\n“Alright. Let's move out.\" Jacob calls back and begins walking.\n\n \n\nClark and Matt made sure to remain close behind. The walk up the marked deer path found by Felix was rather uneventful. In fact, it was utterly boring and that was getting to Jacob.\n\n \n\n“Enough quiet time. Let's start talking.\" He announces.\n\n \n\n“Sure. Matt and I are all ears sir.\" Clark replies.\n\n \n\n“Either one of you two want to start with questions or just have me do a basic run down of the conversation I had with Felix and John back at the observation post.?\" Jacob asks.\n\n \n\n“I'm actually good with the run down. What about you Whitey?\"\n\n \n\n“Yeah, Sounds good to me. I honestly wouldn't know where to start with my questions.\"\n\n \n\n“The run down it is. I had trouble figuring out where Sam had disappeared to, when all of us initially arrived at the observation outpost. So I got the attention of the Nomad brothers, just as they were about to go into a service chamber. They agreed and didn't mind answering some questions that had been on my mind.\"\n\n \n\nJacob found himself pausing, when his nose detected a rather powerful cinnamon smell in the air. He had no idea which plant it was coming from and just shrugged, before resuming the run down.\n\n \n\n“I suggested to them that maybe Sam was planning some elaborate prank. Since it is sort of tradition, when leadership is handed down. They didn't confirm or deny that suspicion. So I stepped them through the rough outline of how things progressed after the assignment briefing last night. I started with the odd quick change in plans with escorting the Scribe to Anchor Georgia, because Sam said that there was rather pressing business he had to take care of with the twins father Hank and stressing that it could not wait.\"\n\n \n\nClark then decides to finally add some input.\n\n \n\n“Sam seems to have always looked out for us and certainly have no complaints so far. Besides, after what happened these last two years, I think we all could use a prank to liven things up again.\"\n\n \n\nJacob was at least in complete agreement with the spirit of that suggestion. Nothing else.\n\n \n\n“John suggested that maybe Sam wanted additional personal details about the twins and thus no prank is at all planned. It was just Sam affirming that the twins are ready to take over the squad for us. This seems more likely, since he had been visiting other people close to them and asking questions about their character. It still bothers me that he broke protocol and had me travel alone at night without an Other escort on the trip.\" He finishes.\n\n \n\n“I would certainly see about talking to him about it later. If anything, for the reason of breaking night travel protocol.\" Matt suggests.\n\n \n\n“I pretty much came to the same conclusion already, but needed someone to use like a mirror.\"\n\n \n\nAs soon as those words left Jacob's mouth, a brisk draft blows down the mountainside and forces the three of them to grab a nearby tree. Under normal conditions, such a breeze would thin the mist out. But all it seemed to do was make it thicker. They look ahead on the trail and watch as sight of the beacons disappear.\n\n \n\n“Oh yeah. The skinny little deer trail isn't already hard enough to see. Now we have no beacons either. I guess we will start rubbing sticks together for fire and make torches.\" Matt quips.\n\n \n\n“We have matches for fire.\" Clark was quick to correct.\n\n \n\n“Wasn't kidding about the torches.\" Matt challenges.\n\n \n\nThe strong draft passes, but the increased fog density remained.\n\n \n\n“Anyone else notice that cinnamon scent getting stronger now?\" Jacob asks.\n\n \n\n“Yup. It now has a sweetness to it.\" Clark adds.\n\n \n\n“How is your head?\"\n\n \n\n“A little dizzy now, but not from the hangover earlier.\"\n\n \n\n“You sure?\"\n\n \n\n“Positive.\"\n\n \n\n“Your thinking slightly sluggish too.\"\n\n \n\n“Fuzzy is more like it, but yeah.\"\n\n \n\n“That's what I thought.\"\n\n \n\n“Why you asking?'\n\n \n\n“I think the Suppressor is somehow wearing off.\"\n\n \n\n“Bad batch maybe.\"\n\n \n\n“Maybe.\"\n\n \n\n“I can think of worse things to be happening right now.\" Matt chimes in with the other two.\n\n \n\n“I'm sure we all could.\" Jacob assures.\n\n \n\n“So. We go with Plan B then.\" Clark asks.\n\n \n\n“We go with Plan B. I'm guessing Sam and the others are encountering the same problem. I will go further along the trail and make sure they are okay. Stay here for now. If you don't see me come back in the time it takes to walk eighty paces, get your compasses out and follow where the red line points. Eventually we should all meet up at the destination. There shouldn't be any problems as far as Scavengers are concerned. The Others actually scare them for some odd reason.\"\n\n \n\n“Maybe it's the bigger dicks that scare them.\" Matt quips.\n\n \n\nEveryone has a quick laugh with that comment and then pull out their compasses, to make sure they were still working properly. The arrow still pointed to True North and the red lines all pointed the same direction. Everyone nodded, before Jacob departed and proceeded up the trail, with firm hope he would run into Sam and the twins. He had to be careful about where he stepped in the severely degraded viewing conditions and decided to take it a bit slow. Another annoying factor of the really dense mist became obvious the moment he noticed he could no longer hear Clark and Matt. The last he heard of the new conversation between them was Clark criticizing Matt over some bad comparison between the Suppressors and bread. Yup Same old Matt. Two things were certain about the whole situation with the pills. Either a new formula will have to be created, to counter the effect of possible stronger hormonal stimulant levels in the mist or the batch they took back at the observation post was a bad batch. His internal logic was favoring the first possibility as more likely.\n\n \n\n“Which now leaves me wondering just how much is unknown about these people. All past history records were destroyed in the midst of the public panic over the shit that happened centuries ago. All we know about the Others is what the Nomads tell us.\" Jacob says to no one in particular.\n\n \n\nJacob finds himself stopping briefly to make some adjustment within his pants. They were beginning to become uncomfortable and the last thing he needed was such a distraction. He reached down into his underwear and attempted to make a quick adjustment with his cock, only to find that it was as hard as it could possibly get and mildly throbbing. No way to adjust that and it was getting annoying quickly. He sighed with exasperation and pulled his hand back out, before sliding off his back pack and began digging through it for something extra he had packed. He quickly found the item and pulled out two long brown leather straps, with a clamp on both ends and connected with each other in two places with additional cross straps. He slung the straps over his shoulders and kept his head in between the cross straps. He then secured the clasps onto the waist band of his pants and undid the belt, before taking it off. This allowed his pants to remain up and hang loose, while not hugging his crotch and hips so much when walking. Jacob then rolled up the belt and put it into his back pack, before slipping it back on. After taking a few paces, he had confirmation he was definitely more comfortable and could focus on finding everyone else once again. Before he started walking again, he found himself hit with a very potent wave of arousal. Why would that be happening? He was grateful for the nearby tree and grabbed onto it, the moment he felt himself sway a little.\n\n \n\n“Easy there Jacob.\" He told himself. “Don't need to go tumbling down the mountainside and break something.\" He glanced to his left and downhill into the mist. “I hope the Scribe is recording all this. It is certainly new stuff the rest of the Rangers would be interested in.\" He then shakes his head. “Yeah. We definitely need to improve the Suppressor formula. That should give the apothecaries back at Anchor Ken something to do, besides toiling over books of old knowledge.\" Jacob chuckles to himself. “Maybe just stand here for a bit and see if Sam or anyone else possibly comes back my way.\"\n\n \n\nJacob began looking around his position and forced himself to focus more and look for any change in the movement patterns of the rolling mist, as well as listening for any sounds beyond his own breathing. Nothing. Wait. Up the slope. Sounded like a small group. Did they find each other and are now looking for him? He waited a little longer for his head to clear and had a brief debate. Meeting the Others was the main priority. But having the whole group with him, especially the Scribe, would be better for everyone in the end. He took a deep breath and sighed, before gripping another tree and proceeded to ascend carefully up the slope between the trees.\n\n \n\n“Never ceases to be something of a climbing exercise, when going up these mountain slopes.\" He tells himself.\n\n \n\nThe ascent was slow and Jacob found his thoughts drifting towards his memory of the trip he took earlier. He didn't mind the distraction and it kept his mind occupied during such a menial task. Him and Sam definitely had a lot to talk about later, in regards to the retired Ranger Larry and his bull man housemate Shadow. He had no idea the Others even used names. One more new thing for the Scribes. The relationship those two had was also something new. Just what or how do they...\n\n \n\n“Okay Jacob. Some things are best left to asking the people themselves and not begin guessing. That is how gossip gets started and then the next thing you know, a pissed off Ranger and Other is paying you a very uncomfortable visit.\" He chides himself.\n\n \n\nThe bull man was a rather stunning specimen and Larry was right about completely white versions being rare. It was rather cute to see the bull man have such a genuine reaction to the comment. The way that head turned and those muscles in that neck flexed, as he snorted back at the retired Ranger. The light from the morning sun highlighted their outline very well. The skin and hide looked to be kept in as good of condition as any show horse or cow and probably very nice to run your hand or face across it as well. The face test always gave it away. The combination of that dense hair and smooth oily hide was rather sensual to the touch. One could loose themselves in the moment and rub their face all over that hide. Move to different parts of that body and explore the subtle differences between them. Perhaps see how the hide feels against other parts of your own body as well. All that rubbing would eventually lead to you smelling just like them. Then there is that element as well. The distinct and mildly spicy scent that all them bigger animals have. With your eyes closed, one could actually navigate over that body using just touch and smell. Touch would tell you where you could or couldn't go, while smell would guide one through the places you could go.\n\n \n\n“Nope. Went there again.\" Jacob shakes his head some more.\n\n \n\nHe then realizes the distraction did it's job and found his path progression now getting much easier, as the terrain flattened out and made holding onto the trees no longer necessary. His eyes then caught subtle movement in the distance. It wasn't the mist, but a definable shadow moving like a person that was marching with purpose.\n\n \n\n“Finally.\" He looks down at his compass and notices the direction of the moving shadow is different than where the line or needle is pointing. “Where the hell are you guys going?\"\n\n \n\nThe shadow then disappears into the mist. He now had something new to give him strong focus and clear his mind a little. He began setting a solid marching pace and began moving in the direction where he saw the shadow. After clearing a distance of about two hundred paces, he came across a small clearing with thinner mist and stopped. Directly ahead was a plant like one described in the Scribe's journal. It was freakishly large and looked like a single closed orange tulip blossom, only more squat and round. Even though he was within twenty paces of the thing, it looked large enough to conceal the Fun Girls carriage that Matt described to him in the past. There were signs of various articles of clothing strewn all over the place near it and at the spot he was standing. Additionally there was a second new scent in the air, that smelled like maple syrup. He took two steps forward and noticed the smell get slightly strong in proximity of the plant itself. Minding his hard throbbing cock in his pants, he lowered to one knee and investigated the shirt that was right at his feet. He went to touch it and pulled back a hand with some sort of clear syrup like substance on his finger tips. He sniffed them and got a strong dose of the maple smell sucked right into his nostrils. His eyes caught sight of a sewn badge near the shoulder on a sleeve. It was a regional designation for Rangers.\n\n \n\n“Anchor Carol?\" He looked up and began visually skimming over the area. “Why the hell would Rangers be deployed this far in and we not be notified? We were supposed to be the only ones penetrating this far into Other territory, by the collective authority of all the Anchor Elders.\"\n\n \n\nJacob raised back up to both feet and began walking around the plant, maintaining a respectable safe distance of eighteen paces from it. By the time he made a complete circle around the thing, he counted at least eight shirts and all of them had the same badge on the sleeve. What was most curious is that he could see no sign of struggle or damage done to the clothes themselves. It was like they were casually taken off by the men and just tossed to the side.\n\n \n\n“Is this what happens when the effects of the Suppressors completely wear off. The men loose complete control of their over stimulated sex drives? This air must be extremely potent, to neutralize the things that quickly. The dosage given to us was special and was supposed to last a whole week. So we at least had a better chance they they did. But where the hell are these men? What happened?\"\n\n \n\nJacob walks over to a nearby tree at the edge of the clearing and lowers to one knee, to thoroughly investigates an abandoned back back. He then moves to another back pack and repeats the process. His ears then picks up on a curious sound. The man stops and raises back to his feet, before looking around the clearing. There it was again. It was a suction sound, created by someone trying to unstop a drain with a plunger. But it was very faint and yet noticeable in the quiet of the environment.\n\n \n\n“This is Ranger Jacob Larson. Is anyone there?\" He inquires. Nothing but silence in response.\n\n \n\nA sigh of annoyance escapes his nostrils. He slips off his back pack and pulls out a small black metallic cylinder as wide as two fingers, in trade for the compass. He then did a quick check of the clear end and pointed it down at his feet, before giving it a couple shakes. Light burst forth and illuminated his feet, before he tilted it back up towards the plant and then away.\n\n \n\n“No reaction to direct light. Check.\" He announces to himself, as he sets the back pack down.\n\n \n\nJacob then proceeds to turn a grooved ring, surrounding the clear end and focuses the illumination to a confined narrow beam. He circles the plant again and spends more time looking at the ring of discarded clothes. When he makes another complete circle, he decides to lower down to both knees and places the solid end of the light cylinder in his mouth, to do a more detailed examination of the pants this time. Aside from being thoroughly coated in the clear syrup, their condition was good. No misaligned zippers or missing buttons to show sign of them being taken off in a hasty manner. The light did show something new, that he figured was the same with every other piece of clothing at this site. There was a thin trail or two of the same syrup leading from the pants towards the plant itself. He followed it for two paces and, then the trail ended abruptly. He shined the light along the ground towards the plant and it caught something. Jacob crawled further another two paces and found a small pool of the same syrup, with another trail leading towards the plant. This trail stretched for four paces and ended at another pool. He shined the light towards the plant one more time and found nothing else between where he was at and the plant itself. The man got up and decided to cautiously step closer to the plant, while shining the beam up and down one of the orange petals. He got within eight paces and stopped. At this close proximity, it was obvious this plant was big enough to hold many things inside it.\n\n \n\n“Even people?\" He caught himself saying in reflex to the thought.\n\n \n\nHe stepped away and began shining the beam back and forth, between the plant and the nearby syrup pool. He then shined it up and down one of the petals again, before cautiously walking around the plant and carefully looking over the entire search perimeter free of the syrup pools.\n\n \n\n“Not one drop of the stuff.\" Jacob shines the light back to the plant and holds it there. “I'm guessing you were open at one time and whatever is inside you is responsible for these missing men. The really weird thing is...\" He reflexively rubs his head with the free hand and ends up rubbing the syrup residue through his short hair. He notices this and sighs in exasperation, as he thrusts it back down and wipes it on his pants. “...I see no sign of you actually eating them. I know about the mutated carnivorous plants that evolved after the man made disasters. They have no reason to be neat about their eating. They have no eyes to see the mess.\" He shines the light around to make a point to himself. “There is absolutely no blood or torn clothing anywhere. In fact there is total absence of blood or severed body parts.\" He lowers the light source and taps it on his thigh. “I have been over this area twice and count eight complete sets of clothes and gear. That includes eight pairs of socks and boots. The scatter pattern of the clothing makes it look like the boys just casually stripped off everything, like they were about to go for a swim in a lake or river. But you don't see a damn lake or river here... do you Jacob? Of course not. Just the oversize tulip blossom and enough spilled syrup to feed a whole squad.\"\n\n \n\nHe points the light beam at the thing one more time and holds it there and then hears that odd suction sound more clearly this time. His eye brows furrow. Jacob decides that he likely isn't in any actual danger of being eaten and slowly begins approaching the plant, occasionally looking to his sides and up for any sudden movement from things like vines. Once he was close enough to touch it, he looks around one more time, before pressing a hand to it. The petal reacts just like the walls of the service chambers. He quickly retracts his hand and looks around again, then waits. Nothing.\n\n \n\n“Great Jacob. Getting as jittery as Matt was last year. Real Great. Calm down.\"\n\n \n\nHe shakes the light source again, to turn it off, then tucks it into his side pocket on the pants. Jacob takes one step closer and places both hands to the petal. It definitely felt just like the walls of the service chambers. He could also feel very distinct vibrations through it. Like what one would feel with flexible tubing, while the water is running through it. He then leaned forward and pressed the side of his face against the petal. The sound that flooded into his ear fit with what he felt. There was a lot of fluid being circulated through these petals and the entire plant. He squinted his eyes and tried to use his hearing to filter through the watery noise. Then it stopped and was replaced with the suction sound he heard earlier. It sounded so different, when hearing it directly through the petal. Like some sort of dense substance being moved around through something inside the plant. He could also hear something else beyond it. This other sound would come and go, but it had a steady quality to it. He had to lift his face away and give his hearing a break. His body also began to feel slightly warmer than normal.\n\n \n\n“Must be the stress of the situation. What the hell is going on in there? Be great if my head was clearer and could think better. It's all I can do, to not think about sex and then completely loose my focus. I can't let that happen. My men are counting on me. Men. Men. Men!\"\n\n \n\nJacob then immediately pressed the side of his face back against the petal of the plant and pushed in a little, before closing and squinting his eyes in concentration. His mind struggled a little through the growing fog that was gradually beginning to consume it. Then he heard it again and was eventually able to completely filter out the pumping of the dense substance in the foreground. There it is. No. Shit. It's gone. Wait. Again?\n\n \n\n“So this thing has like... multiple... organic pumps? That doesn't sound right.\" He whispers.\n\n \n\nHis slow working sluggish brain then finally allows him to figure out exactly what was going on inside the plant, the moment his ears finally identified the muffled sound. It was the sound of a man moaning. Was he in distress? At least he was still alive. The moan was too smooth. It didn't sound strained or by someone experiencing discomfort. It sounded more like... pleasure. He let up on his concentration slightly and allowed the other sound to mix with it and their rhythms matched perfectly. He had no logical explanation for what he was hearing and yet the accumulated results spoke for themselves. What was happening inside this plant was similar to the service chambers. However he doesn't remember Sam or anyone moaning like this when being serviced. This man was being pleasured by the plant. But it wasn't just one man. The moaning wasn't cutting off. It was fading in and out, while mixing with other moans into a singular chorus of moans. Jacob found himself attracted to what was happening inside the plant, As a potent erotic image began forming in his head.\n\n \n\n“Fuck me.\" He whispered.\n\n \n\nThe sight of those eight men suspended in the air and attached to the plant via three tendrils each. Two giving them pleasure through their cocks and their asses, while the third was likely feeding them something to keep them compliant with the process. Do these plants even have orgasms? His mind soon answered that for him, with the image of their bellies gradually bulging outward. He imagined them continuing to experience pleasure, as those bellies grew round. His logical thoughts knew there was limits to this, but his more irrational arousal fogged thoughts took the information and delivered a more creative solution. The men were being fucked and filled by the tendril in their ass, while the tendril on their cock was simultaneously taking it back out of their system. This in turn was giving the men pleasure like nothing they had experienced before in their lives. He wanted this pleasure as well. But he just didn't want it for himself alone. Jacob wanted his entire team to experience this mind shattering pleasure of cumming continuously with him. He had to find them and...\n\n \n\n“The team!\" His triggered logical thoughts broke the arousal induced day dream.\n\n \n\nHis eyes flew open and he shoved himself hard away from the plant, landing splayed out on his back and breathing a little hard. He stayed there for a while and looked up into the mist rolling over him and the clearing. How long had he been standing there like that? He was completely loosing himself in what he heard inside that plant and was enjoying it so much he... his crotch was wet.\n\n \n\n“Great.\" He softly said in a flat self criticizing tone.\n\n \n\nJacob dared to move a hand towards his crotch and sighed in exasperation, as he felt that his underwear had been completely soaked with precum in the front. Wait. Underwear? He glanced down and saw his throbbing erection tenting the underwear out away from his crotch.\n\n \n\n“Where are my...\"\n\n \n\nHe lifted his head a little and found his pants were still on him and crumpled around his shins. He laid his head back down, then quickly patted himself and the ground around him. Where were the straps? He sat up quickly and saw them laying on the ground just past his feet next to the plant. He didn't remember taking them off. What happened to him over by that plant? He had complete control and was managing the weakened effects of the Suppressor just fine. That should not have happened. Something tipped the balance with the same force as it tipped it for the eight men that are now inside that plant. Jacob proceeded to roll over, then pick himself up onto his hands and knees. He couldn't help but moan and felt more precum leak out of his cock. He remained still and let the moment pass.\n\n \n\n“Alright. Now these things are becoming more of an obstacle.\"\n\n \n\nHe carefully extract his cock out of the precum soaked pouch and swiftly yanked his underwear down, before flipping himself around back on his ass. Next was the boots, they had to come off, so his pants and underwear could come completely off him. Although the movement from disrobing his lower half was forcing his cock to rub against his own belly, the sensation was more manageable than having his entire cock rubbed by the pouch... a little. The moment he got his last foot through the leg of his underwear, he swiftly shifted off his ass and onto his feet in a squatting position. His cock was finally free of all physical stimulation and pointed freely outward away from his body. Jacob seized this moment and closed his eyes, before taking a few deep breaths,to rein in his more irrational thoughts. He then opened them and and retrieved his light source from the pants pocket, before slowly raising to a standing position. He then took a small step forward and casually hooked the straps with a foot, before flicking them away. Useless at this point.\n\n \n\n“Now. Let's break down what I think happened here and maybe avoid some mistakes myself.\" Jacob began quietly narrating to no one but himself. “First and foremost, these men had none of the journal information available to warn or prepare them for this encounter. Why they are even here to begin with is baffling and no longer relevant. Second. It would seem they ended up biologically defenseless against whatever is affecting me as well. Third. Once they were on sight at this location, whatever they saw gave them no reason to feel threatened. Quite the opposite. They felt motivated to interact with it. Fourth. Whatever is beyond those petals, has to be something similar to what we are already familiar with back in the service chambers.\"\n\n \n\nJacob shook his head a little, as he felt his logical thinking slip a little.\n\n \n\n“So they walked into this clearing and was exposed to the same excessive levels of the arousal inducing airborne chemical. They see whatever it was, while the petals were open and likely laying out of the way on the ground. Something happens and they end up conducting themselves here the same way they would in the service chambers. Whatever happened to them next, they allowed it to happen and freely surrendered themselves to it. The process itself has to be similar to the servicing process. Otherwise there would have been some struggle and the overall scene around this plant would be quite different. The result would however be the same and thus further vindication that whatever is in the air around me serves to insure the targeted person makes no resistance.\"\n\n \n\nJacob's control slips a bit.\n\n \n\n“Of course they wouldn't. Once those things latch onto your cock, your first impulse is to give it what you have inside you. In the service chambers, it is your piss. Here. It is your cum. But then there is only so much of that a man can give at a time. These plants don't exist to harvest cum alone. They also exist to use that function itself in a very interesting way and turn the targeted men into some sort of syrup milking cow. We must have something inside us, that performs a function the plant is not capable of doing itself. Our system must change the syrup a certain way and then pass it on to the plant.\"\n\n \n\nJacob then decides to do one more check up on the plant and the men trapped inside it. He repeats the same observation steps, but this time keeps his eyes open and applies more effort to remain lucid. The noise from inside the plant appears to be louder this time. He can't help but wonder what is actually happening beyond those thick petals. Based on what Rangers know about this specific basic plant biology, he is certain the men are not being harmed. He does however wonder what is happening to their minds and what mental state this process will leave them in, once the plant is done with them. That will depend on how long the process lasts. The audio pattern is the same as before. The moving of the liquid or syrup. Maybe both. The persistent chorus of the men moaning. Just as he was about to pull away, feeling satisfied he had learned all he could about this situation, the overall rhythm and chorus changes. That pumping and suction sound shifts it's place. It now resides in between the moans, as they become more drawn out and fade. Soon all he hears is pumping of the liquid and syrup. His eyes get rather big and he slowly pushes himself away and steps back a couple paces.\n\n \n\n“Are they? No. You don't kill a useful milk cow..\"\n\n \n\nJacob keeps a watchful eye on the plant and slowly steps further away towards his back pack. He glances down and is careful to not step anywhere near the scattered clothes, risking further complication of his own immediate situation in any possible unforeseeable way. He then picks up his back pack and walks around the perimeter, before spotting a break in the treeline. It appears to continue inward as a possible frequently used path. That means someone is making trips to this plant and making sure it is doing it's job. Someone like one of the Others. They are the only people living up here and the only ones with answers to explain what is happening inside that plant. He pulls the mechanical compass from his back pack and notices the red line points down the unmarked path.\n\n \n\n“I guess what ever pressing questions I wanted to ask Sam can wait now.\" Jacob chuckles and gives the strange plant one more lingering look, before shaking his head and turning towards the path. He inhales deeply and proceeds to walk away from the clearing into the mist.\n\n \n\n \n\nE P I L O G U E\n\n \n\n \n\nThe mist begins to thin in the clearing and makes the surrounding trees much more visible, along with the outline of a single large solitary figure. He begins to step forward towards the plant and become more visible himself as a familiar completely white bull man. He was careful about stepping around the discarded syrup coated clothes along the way. Shadow made plans to follow the excursion team through the mountains and made sure everything proceeded as planned. Then when he witnessed the mist begin to split them up, he made it a point to keep an eye on Jacob and follow him until the man was alone. He kept himself out of sight and watched as the mist leveraged it's potent seduction against the pitiful chemical defense of those pills. The sight of finally seeing the man waver while investigating the plant, made him surge with the need to breed. He knew it wouldn't be long and soon the man would be approachable and complaint with being penetrated and filled to overflowing with the potent syrup churning in Shadow's balls. The bull man was now next to the plant and gave it a loving pat, as his ears picked up on a organic splitting sound that came from above his head. The blunt pointed tip of the plant opened a little and massive amounts of really dense mist began pouring out and down the petals. It's density was so much that it could literally be felt flowing around the arms and legs of Shadow. It then continued to flow across the ground and outward away from the plant. Visibility within the clearing dropped rapidly, as it began lifting off the ground and dispersing into the open air. Shadow inhaled deeply and rumbled a little inside, as his bovine spear emerged and dripped syrup in response to the treated air being recharged. He then stepped away from the plant and resumed his covert tracking of Jacob, licking his lips in anticipation of making the man's belly round.","series":{"name":"Mists of the Mountains","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1849309-mists-of-the-mountains-chosen-path.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1855810-mists-of-the-mountains-altered-life.json"}}
