So Nathan's father is introduced along with some details about the family

At this point in the story and what has not been revealed much about the Nightwing Family. For one, They are a secretive rich family, who don't flaunt their money or power but it was unknown until recently that a Nightwing was responsible for causing all this mess. The nightwing in question was Jackson Nightwing, the single father to Nathan because his late wife passed away so many years ago. Naturally he would grow suspicious of Shane, but not so much that he would do anything to him but agreed to formally adopt him.
