# There’s Always Another Mission

When Metroid Dread got announced a while back I was really excited being a big Metroid fan so I decided to write a fan poem about the Metroid series. The poem is told from the POV of Samus Aran. Like I've said previously I'm posting from a big, expanding backlog so that includes going back to fan poems like this and posting them till I eventually catch up to the now regarding my writing and everything. There's Always Another Mission&nbsp;

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;By: A.X. Another mission awaits me after an odd number of years

I should have expected as much&nbsp;

Metroids and evil beings trying to destroy me just don't stay dead I fear&nbsp;

Of course this threat is new

A killer robot that fills me with dread&nbsp;

It doesn't seem to want to go down no matter how many missiles it takes to the head&nbsp;

It's just another foe that I only I can really do is run and hide away from&nbsp;

However with new tricks and my arm cannon over my sleeve I'll be sure to not succumb&nbsp;

It wouldn't be the first stalking enemy I've faced before so by all means let it come&nbsp;

I earned my reputation for a reason&nbsp;

6 foot 3 of entrusted bounty hunter wrapped in my powerful and upgradable bio armor&nbsp;

Called the protector of the galaxy the galaxy's need for protection never ends

There's always some space pirate or some big monster that with my charge beam I have to rend&nbsp;

When the Galactic Federation needs someone for those tough jobs they hire me&nbsp;

Genetically engineered by the Chozo and with an impressive expanding arsenal as well as my sleek ship&nbsp;

It's an easy choice to go with I'm sure you can see&nbsp;

I don't mean to brag too hard or anything in fact I prefer to stay silent&nbsp;

Letting my actions and visored face speak for themselves when I need to defend or get violent

In the end I'm glad the amount of missions I need to do will never hit zero

Regardless of whatever horror from space comes my way even if it was Ridley yet again&nbsp;

I'm always happily ready to continue and do the missions thought impossible by men&nbsp;
