After his sudden passing I never married or dated after that, my heart couldn't take it. For months after the funeral I wanted nothing more than to end my life and be with him once again. In my heart I knew he wouldn't want that for me, plus I had to be there for my baby girl. Every year on our anniversary her and I would visit his grave. Some years were harder than others but we still did it.  A few days ago I was in a bad accident and my body isn't handling it well. I also believe my fighting spirit is drained from all the prior years.  Being stuck in this hospital bed I got a small glimpse of what Connor had gone through.  "Do you need anything else?" Alice asked sitting at the end of my bed. I shook my head and smiled at her.  "I'll be fine thank you dear." I smiled at her. She stood up and kissed my forehead. "Love you dad." She said  "Love you too and  tell the little one granddad loves him." I said as she got up and walked away. "You got it." She smiled again and walked away.  For a while I sat on my bed just watching tv. When suddenly everything slowed down and I couldn't hear anything, but at the same time everything was heightened. The room was filled with a bright light. I felt a brush on my cheek and I saw a figure walking towards me and I knew who it was immediately.  "Connor!" I yelled and he started running towards me.  "In questo giorno vita mia, il mio cuore e mia anima ora ti appartiene Ethan Thomas. Ti amo" he said. I jumped up hugging him tight, suddenly I could stand on my own "It's time hun." I nodded as a tears ran down my cheeks. "I missed you so much." I said into his shoulder holding him tight. "I missed you too." He said smiling and hugging me just as tight. "What about Alice?" I asked, suddenly very concerned. "She'll be fine, she has an amazing husband to support her." I nodded and took his paw again as we both headed into the light. \*\*\*\*\* "Call it, twelve twelve" the Doctor said Alice watched with tears in eyes as her father's Doctors walked over to her.  "I'm very sorry." He said. She nodded and wiped the tears from her eyes. "Who's Connor?" The Doctor asked  "Why?" Alice asked sniffling a bit, wiping away her tears. "It was the name your dad said before he passed." Alice smiled and laughed a bit. "He was my dad's best friend, his husband, and my dad." Alice said as she walked over to her father's body and kissed his forehead. "Love you Daddy.
