The vacation at Millie's parents has been awful to him. The disrespect he faces\n\nfrom his in-laws has been killing him. Worst of all it seems the vacation has taken a sour\n\nmood quickly as Millie is concerned with the fate of her family's ranch. Some young\n\nupcoming rancher wants to expand and he wants to absorb Millie's family ranch. Her\n\nparents have obviously said no but representatives of his have become more aggressive\n\nin their tactics ever since Moxxie and Millie arrived. As much as Moxxie hates his\n\nin-laws he can't help but feel bad for them. He tried to offer to talk to the\n\nrepresentatives but Millie's dad, Joe, outright refused. Moxxie feeling crushed that Joe\n\ndoesn't consider him man enough to deal or even be involved slightly with the\n\nsituation. As Moxxie counts the minutes until dinner is ready Millie walks in with some\n\n\"good\" news.\n\n\"Hun, I got some great news! I called Blitzo and he extended our vacation here!\n\nHe says we might as well stay longer as he still can't get that weird ol' book of his\" she\n\nsaid in a gleeful tone. \"This is perfect, hopefully we can deal with that ignorant rancher\n\nand his goons\".\n\n\"That's great Millie\", Moxxie responded. As much as he hates his in-laws,\n\nBlitzo's presence is much worse in his mind. \"You know I'm surprised your family just\n\nhasn't outright killed this jerk,\" he added.\n\n\"Believe me we would love to but this is the wrath ring Mox, if we solved every\n\ndispute with violence we wouldn't have time to maintain our ranches or farms. Why do\n\nyou think we have all those games we celebrate? So we can unleash all that pent up rage\n\nwe have to hold in.\" Millie responded. Millie excused herself as she heard her mom\n\nasking for assistance in cutting up a hellhog's liver. Moxxie's heart sank, this was\n\nsupposed to be a trip where they spent quality time together as a family. This situation\n\nhas disrupted so many of their plans but might as well make the best of it.\n\nDinner was finally served, a generous portion of hellhog liver, pulled pork, cold\n\ncuts, and finally Sallie May's signature chocolate chip cookies. Moxxie would've hoped\n\nthere was some salad but he knew better to be vocal about it. 10 minutes didn't pass\n\nwhen they heard a knock on the door. Millie answered it and behind a door was an imp\n\nnamed Nomad. He introduced himself as a representative of Ignavus, the rancher\n\nwho's been causing Millie's so much trouble recently. He wore light combat armor, a\n\nski mask, and goggles covering his eyes. He had a calm and pleasant voice. Everyone except Moxxie took a liking to him. He explained that he understood their plight in\n\nselling their land and said there was a new offer on the table. The land will be bought\n\nbut they will get to operate it and keep a sizable portion of the profits. As expected Joe\n\nand Lin declined this offer immediately.\n\n\"I told him you'd say no, the imps of wrath take a lot of pride in their home and\n\nwork. Alright I won't push you folk any more. I'll see what I can do to convince my boss\n\nto expand elsewhere.\" The rest of the night Millie's family asked Nomad many\n\nquestions, intrigued by his odd look and profession. Moxxie was visibly annoyed, did\n\nthey not learn anything with Striker?! Nomad then started asking questions about them.\n\nThe one that stuck out to Moxxie was Nomad asking Joe if they had any firearms.\n\n\"Well there's the double barrel that I use for hunting occasionally and the\n\nrevolvers that have been with our family for generations. But down here we use our\n\nfists and blade for most of our kills. Firearms are a coward's weapon.\" Joe responded\n\nwith a hearty laugh and glancing at Moxxie.\n\n\"HA! Then I might as well be a coward. I love using guns but I know it will be\n\ndamn disrespectful to fight a imp from wrath and not use my knife or fists.\" Nomad\n\nhollered out with a big grin. \"Hey Moxxie, do you have any guns on you?\" Nomad\n\nasked.\n\n\"Well I have my two modified handguns I brought along with me. They're\n\nnothing special but I've taken out more than enough targets with them both.\" Moxxie\n\nresponded in a gleeful tone. \"They may be \"fun\" like a shotgun or chaotic like a RPG\n\nbut it's so satisfying getting a kill with a handgun.\n\n\"Yeah, nothing like using a revolver or pistol to do the job. You know you're\n\ntalking to a professional when they care for their weapons like you do.\" Nomad\n\nresponded. \"Welp, I've taken enough of you folk's time. I must report back. Thank you\n\nfor this delicious meal.\" Nomad said and he backed away from the table and left.\n\nAfter they said their goodbyes to Nomad and cleaned up, Moxxie finally started\n\ngetting ready for bed. Millie came in with a big box all wrapped up.\n\n\"Hun, I know our anniversary hasn't come up yet but I know this trip was going\n\nto bum you out so I got you a little surprise. Open it up hun!\" Millie hollered with\n\nexcitement. Moxxie opened up the present to find a glorious human made Dragunov\n\nSVD. Moxxie's jaw fell right off seeing the wood work of this gun he read so much on.\n\n\"Millie, how did you get this?! You know human weapons are rare to obtain!\u0026nbsp;This is perfect!\" Moxxie exclaimed.\n\n\"Well let's just say Blitzo had to visit his boyfriend more than usual\" Millie\n\nresponded. \"Now there's some ammunition and magazines in there too. I was hoping\n\nyou and pa would go out hunting some time tomorrow. Now if you'll excuse me I have\n\nto get ready for bed love.\" Millie exited the room leaving Moxxie to admire his gift.\n\nMany hours passed until everyone in the home was awakened by gunfire.\n\nMoxxie and Millie both woke up immediately. Millie grabbed her personal knife and\n\nMoxxie grabbed his hand guns and new sniper. They made their way into the hallway,\n\nmeeting up with the family. Before anything can be said between them, they heard a\n\nvoice over a megaphone.\n\n\"Ya damn hicks should've taken my final offer! Now I have to make an example\n\nout of the lot of ya!\" exclaimed the voice. Joe and Lin identified the voice of Ignavus,\n\nthat damn rancher causing this trouble. While the family was discussing plans to stand\n\nup for themselves, Moxxie volunteered to go to the roof to see how many potential\n\nattackers there were. Moxxie was surprised to hear murmurs of agreement. After\n\ngetting a good luck kiss from Millie. Moxxie got to the roof using the attic. Moxxie\n\nlooked through the scope of his new sniper and looked at the landscape. He could see\n\nIgnavus with at least 15 imps including Nomad. It looks like they're all armed with\n\neither pistols or smgs. Nomad is the only one with a unique weapon, a double barrel\n\nshotgun, and it seems like he wants to mock Joe. Moxxie could see Ignavus and Nomad\n\ntalking to each other. Finally he saw Nomad waving his wands and sees the imps\n\nscatter about. Five approach the front slowly, the next five seem to be approaching the\n\nback slowly, the rest stick with Ignavus and Nomad. Moxxie decides to take his shot at\n\nNomad who seems to be the most dangerous. He takes a deep breath and aims carefully\n\nthrough the scope and fires. The bullet pierces two imps who got in the way last and\n\nstrikes Nomad straight in the shoulder. Return fire quickly followed but Moxxie quickly\n\nwent back into the house to report back.\n\n\"There's 15 imps including Ignavus and Nomad. I saw five approaching the\n\nfront, five approaching the back, five staying with Ignavus and Nomad. All of them\n\nexcept Nomad seem to be lightly armed. I took out 2 of the imps staying behind and\n\nNomad seems to have been shot.\" Moxxie reported to Millie and her family. Joe and Lin pondered for a second and finally responded.\n\n\"Sallie, you and Millie will guard the back. You use that lasso to good use, Millie\n\nI need you to drive those damn bastards back so use those ol throwing knives you used\n\nto play with. Your mother will use the revolvers to keep the front guarded. Moxxie and\n\nI will use the basement to get outside and flank them at both sides. Moxxie will flank\n\nthe front and I'll flank the back.\" The women nodded their heads, and left to get their\n\nweapons to defend their weapons. Moxxie was surprised that Joe was so trusting with\n\nhim. Moxxie followed Joe to the basement where the shotgun was kept. After Joe armed\n\nthe gun he gave Moxxie one last piece of instructions. \"Moxxie I want you to kill as\n\nmany of those bastards as you can but don't you go dying on me, you mean too much\n\nto my baby\" Joe said. Before Moxxie could respond Joe pushed him out the basement\n\nand got to his position. Moxxie took a deep breath and crept to some bushes to the front\n\nof the house. It seems the imps who were with Nomad and Ignavus are now joining the\n\nraid at the front. Moxxie went behind one of their trucks to scan the environment. He\n\ncan see Nomad getting patched up by Ignavus and has at least one imp guarding them\n\nboth now. Moxxie saw the imps positioned, one imp facing the front door, two by the\n\nside of the door, the rest waiting by the steps. Moxxie couldn't hear what was being\n\nsaid but he could identify they were bickering; these \"hitmen\" weren't united in the\n\nslightest. Faster than one can say \"Oh Millie\", Moxxie got out of cover, raised his two\n\npistols and started shooting randomly. He wasn't planning on being precise, he needed\n\nthe imps to panic, he needed them to storm the front without any plans so that Lin can\n\nfinish the job. Moxxie was running as he emptied his magazines into the front of the\n\nhome. He can see the imps scattering about, some of them stormed the front, some got\n\nhit by his storm of bullets, the others stayed to return fire, and the rest were retreating\n\nback to Nomad and Ignavus. Moxxie was lucky that the imps concentrated fire on the\n\ntruck and not where he was firing. Moxxie got to a nearby barn and quickly got his\n\nDragunov to see the situation. He could see Nomad slowly approaching the imps.\n\n...\n\nLin was behind the couch when she saw two imps screaming and shooting\n\nbehind. She knew that it had to have been Moxxie who was behind the gunfire. She got\n\nup from her cover and shot twice. Both bullets penetrated the skulls of the imps. Their\n\nblood stains the walls. Before she could get into cover once again. Two more imps\n\nstormed the front door, they quickly spotted her and got behind some furniture. Lin\n\nsaw one of the imps stay behind a chair. She shot it two times and heard a body slump\n\nto the ground. The other imp peeked and received a bullet straight in between the eyes.\n\n\"Sallie, you and Millie will guard the back. Moxxie shot out one last bullet and it hit the truck.\n\nMoxxie cursed under his breath as he saw the truck drive off into the distance. Moxxie\n\ngathered with the family to see the state of Ignavus.\n\n\"Haha, Moxxie this your work?\" Joe said with a laugh. \"Yes it is sir!\" Moxxie\n\nresponded. Ignavus was weak, his breath seemed to escape his body. He let out a gasp\n\nwhen Sallie May grabbed him by the hair.\n\n\"Pa! I'm taking him to the barn. I think the hellhogs would appreciate a surprise\n\ndinner.\" Sallie May said with a grin on her face. Ignavus tried to scream but he just\n\ncouldn't. As he was dragged way Joe and Lin told Moxxie to get some shut eye and that\n\nthey'll take care of this mess.\"\n\n...\n\nIt has been two days since the shootoff transpired. Moxxie and Millie were ready\n\nto get back to the pride circle. Blitzo told them they had the job of a lifetime. Moxxie and\n\nMillie had said bye to everyone and began getting ready to leave. As Moxxie packed\n\ntheir last bag into the truck, Joe approached him. \"Mox, I just want to say thanks for\n\npulling your weight around. I didn't expect you'd be able to make any difference but I\n\nwas wrong. I want you to have this.\" Joe gave him a small gun case. \"It's one of our\n\nfamily revolvers and some fancy looking pistol that prick Ignavus had.\" Joe said calmly.\n\n\"Wow sir, I don't know wh-\", Moxxie tried saying but was interrupted. \"No, call\n\nme dad from now on. No more calling me sir.\" Joe said, patting Moxxie on the\n\nshoulder. \"Yes sir uh I mean yes dad.\"\n\nJoe told Moxxie to keep Millie safe and Moxxie said he'll keep her safe. After\n\nMoxxie and Millie said one last goodbye to Joe. They began to hit the road. \"So Millie\n\ndid Blitzo tell you what this job was?\" Moxxie asked his loving wife. \"Yeah we have this\n\ntarget on the human world. I think his name was Jinping, what an odd name for a\n\nhuman.\" Millie responded. Moxxie had no idea who that was. But he had a new\n\nconfidence about him and as they drove off he thought all types of comebacks to deliver to Loona and Blitzo.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
