Why do legends always have to die so young?","content":"\"Something Rises in the Morning\"\n\nBy Ken Anderson,\u0026nbsp; 11 October\u0026nbsp; 2021\n\nIt was moonrise\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\n\nwhen I realized,\n\nSomething changed me,\n\nDeep inside.\n\nSomething heinous,\n\nSomething vicious,\u0026nbsp;\n\nSomething different,\n\nSomething mine.\n\nCan't describe it,\n\nBut I can find it,\n\nIt's something inside\n\nAnd I'll hide behind it,\n\nAnd It's surprised me,\n\nAnd hypnotized me,\n\n'Cause then it told me,\n\nI'd be alright.\n\nAnd when I'm mourning\n\nOn early mornings\n\nWhen I must\u0026nbsp;open\n\nmy weary eyes,\n\nSomething greets me,\n\nAnd it restores me,\n\nAnd it reminds me\n\nThat I've survived.\u0026nbsp;\n\nI miss you, old friend...\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poetry, both old and new","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1925502-heroin-eyes.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1925701-broken-man-s-blues.json"}}
