The first haiku is in fact an accurate description of the circumstances of the writing.\nI don't usually write horny poetry. And I don't usually write haiku. Yet here we are.","content":"Husbands beside me  \nBreathe loud in the darkness  \nJust before sunrise.\n\nI ought to sleep more,  \nBut all my dreams were passion  \nAnd I am too roused.\n\nAll my dreams have turned  \nTo smoldering near-erections  \nAnd poems half-remembered.\n\nPoems to many friends\u0026nbsp;  \nWhom I wish to hold, naked,  \nAnd talk about poems.\n\nTo friends who are men  \nAnd also wolves or foxes\u0026nbsp;  \nOr lions, in their souls.\n\nTo friends who are bears,  \nWho fight like hungry badgers,\u0026nbsp;  \nAnd who love like dogs.\n\nPoems of the passions  \nThat animals like us stoke  \nFor we're not yet dead.\n\nPoems of the feeling,  \nAgainst my grateful muzzle,  \nOf my god's chest fur.\n\nPoems that speak of  \nThe little gay rabbits.  \nPrayers for their asses.\n\nFor who will pray for\u0026nbsp;  \nThe little gay rabbits,  \nIf not you and I?\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"poetry","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1944677-we-regret-to-inform-you-of-a-funeral-cancellation.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1981045-wedding-speech-for-khaki.json"}}
