Bueno\u0026nbsp;\n\nIt hasn't been the best year\u0026nbsp;\n\nI'm not even sure if it's been better or worse than the last\n\nIt's all just so unclear\n\nBut today is a day to put aside whatever terribleness was in the past\u0026nbsp;\n\nYesterday and this morning were full of preparations for the party guests\u0026nbsp;\n\nWho will soon arrive but not before I finish showering, getting dressed\u0026nbsp;\n\nThere was so much to do I didn't have much time to prepare myself\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe first guest arrives right on time and seats themself\u0026nbsp;\n\nI emerge from my room fresh and ready so the party can truly begin\u0026nbsp;\n\nSoon enough more guests arrive and as we head outside I start to grin\u0026nbsp;\n\nIt's been a long while since I've gotten the chance to just enjoy myself with family and friends\n\nMeat and vegetables cook on the grill, drinks and snacks are had\u0026nbsp;\n\nFor once any unhappiness truly suspends\u0026nbsp;\n\nI don't understand anymore why becoming older this year was something with which I used to contend\n\nFor today I've aged another year and I feel calm, happy and just generally great\u0026nbsp;\n\nEven as I dash this way and that stopping now and again just to conversate\u0026nbsp;\n\nI also dig into my plate\u0026nbsp;\n\nFull of snacks and barbecue\u0026nbsp;\n\nSo happy and content that not even a heavy rainstorm can make this day go askew\n\nWe all continue to talk and drink inside after bringing all the important things back in\u0026nbsp;\n\nAnd then as the storm rages on outside and drinks are finished the cake cutting begins\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe birthday singing commences as well and some photos are taken\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe cake is delicious and is enjoyed pretty much by all as things outside by the wind are shaken Not too long after it's time for everyone to go\n\nWith the storm continuing outside no one has the time to be slow\u0026nbsp;\n\nWhen a friend lacks an umbrella sometimes you'll help by walking with them through the rain\u0026nbsp;\n\nWhen you're talking with friends walking through the rain water feels like less of a strain\n\nYou enjoy walking and talking through it because nothing can ruin this day\u0026nbsp;\n\nEventually the three of you make it to the train station and you head back as they go on their way\n\nYou make it back home and decide to worry about the remaining mess and leftovers tomorrow\u0026nbsp;\n\nFor now I'm just going to enjoy the rest of this birthday\u0026nbsp;   \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
