{"sf1_id":1982102,"sf2_id":"3egL0J6m","title":"Dreams: Epilogue and Prelude","author":"Beefy the Bull","words":234,"posted_at":"2023-05-02T04:13:00.000Z","tags":["Dream","Poem","Positive","Space","creation","fate","stars","time","universe","uplifting"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1982102-dreams-epilogue-and-prelude","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/3egL0J6m","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/39/e5/39e5090c-9fd4-459e-a73f-f69e12f7bb0e","description":"#3 of Dreams\n\nA poem I wrote as an epilogue and Prelude to the Dreams stories","content":"Dreams: Epilogue and Prelude - The well of stars\n\nApril 2023\n\nBefore the first dawn, the heavens were dark.\n\nIn that unknowably long night, there was a place;\n\nThat place is the well of the stars;\n\nThe headwaters of life.\n\nFrom it flowed the waters of creation;\u0026nbsp;\n\nSpreading the stars across the infinite night;\n\nBringing the heavens light.\n\nBut all in their own time;\n\nEven the stars will return to the well;\u0026nbsp;\n\nAs their radiance fades and they loose their prominence;\n\nReturning on their shadowed paths.\n\nAll will immerse in the headwaters.\n\nWhen all the stars have returned to the well;\n\nAnd it is the last dusk; the ending of ages.\n\nAnd it is the first dawn; the beginning of time.\n\nThe waters of creation will always flow forth again;\n\nBecause the water seeks no form;\u0026nbsp;\n\nIt has any form and shape.\n\nBecause the water flows equally in all places;\n\nSo it has every form and shape.\n\nThe water has no care of time;\u0026nbsp;\n\nYet it waits for nothing.\n\nThe waters are powerless of their own;\n\nYet the flow of the waters are a unstoppable and eternal power.\n\nAnd so the stars will flow forth;\n\nAgain they take their prominence with renewed radiance.\n\nThis is the unending flow of the heavens.\n\nThis is the timeless cycle of creation.\n\nBut all will eventually find their way back to the headwaters;\n\nAll in their own time.\n\n  \n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Dreams","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/1981183-dreams-2.json"}}
