# A quiet birthday

Murdoch and Cliff decide to celebrate his birthday quietly.

Murdoch yawned.  
  
"Happy birthday, love" Cliff said tenderly.  
  
Murdoch smiled, nuzzling into his partner.  
  
"Can this be a quiet day?" he asked, "Like, not a big party or anything."  
  
"Oh, sure babe."

"hppy bd Murdoch!" Samuel texted.  
  
Murdoch smiled fondly, and typed a "thanks".  
  
The others got the memo, and though they naturally wished him well, they let him be with his bae.  
  
Still in the height of pride month, he wore a cape. He and Cliff were at a cafe, a few other customers around. Cliff returned with two pumpkin lattes.  
  
"Here we go" Cliff said.  
  
Murdoch kissed Cliff, and the two enjoyed the warmth drinks together.

"So, was this day what you expected?" Cliff asked  
  
They were both in bed, nuzzling each other, having just finished binging Clone High.  
  
"Yeah, just what I needed."
