To spend time with them\n\nI will have to wait for one\n\nto get close to my own home\n\nand bring me there with their wings.\n\nAnd in this human-ruled world\n\nit's awfully rare for dragons\n\nto fly among clouds in safety\n\nand awfully rare I meet\n\nmy dragon and human friends,\n\nthat those few times when it happens\n\nI sink them in hugs and gifts.\n\nA handful of days and love,\n\nthen we shall rush to return\n\nto our mundane human lives\n\nto not get us searched by someone\n\nwho'll find out dragons exist\n\nand put them in big, great danger.\n\nI'm so thankful for my dragons\n\nto take all these risks for us\n\nto spread some more love around,\n\nthe same love they were denied.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
