A bright ringing catches your ear, and you see the other bounce off Rebecca's blade, once again used like a shield.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eYou land a shot as the steel flies back to his hands.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eThe monster hardly flinches.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eYou get to your feet and manage to stay up for his next throw.\n\n \n\n\\\u003e\"They kill, they fuck, they get away with it!\" he screams, hurling the other rod at Rebecca.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eShe deflects it as she stands, the metals humming once more.\n\n \n\n\\\u003e\"I learned that the day I was born!\"\n\n \n\n\\\u003eIt flies at her again rather than returning to Patrick's hand.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eShe fights back its furious blows, the rod dancing around her as wielded by a phantom.\n\n \n\n\\\u003e\"She killed him,\" Patrick says, catching the rod he threw at you. \"She killed him and they did nothing.\"\n\n \n\n\\\u003eYou shoot the steel missile when he throws it again; it veers off course, but comes for you just like it did Rebecca.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eThe gaunt human's hands go down as you and Rebecca deal with his weapons.\n\n \n\n\\\u003e\"They did nothing when she did it to me.\"\n\n \n\n\\\u003eHis sunken eyes are far off. Get him still!\"\n\n \n\n\\\u003ePatrick's eye light up at the thundercrack.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eHis rods hover still and the flames falter for a moment.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eThe hole in his head spurts fire just when the charge goes off at his feet.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eYou can feel his shriek in your teeth.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eThe flying rods whip around in a frenzy as his body shakes and shambles. He tries to leave the field as his body comes apart at the seams.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eYou can't let him escape. You've got to --\n\n \n\n\\\u003eRebecca's deep roar cuts through the noise. You take a step back as her enormous sword spins through the air.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eIt passes through Patrick's chest with ease and embeds itself in the charred earth behind him, leaving him pinned.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eHe continues his screeching struggles, scrabbling at the metal and making it wiggle.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eThe Tridentia thunders a second time.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eSparks glint off the handle of the blade as it sinks deeper and holds firm.\n\n \n\n\\\u003ePatrick’s fingers fall off as he continues grabbing at the blade.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eYou stumble over to Rebecca while the rods continue to whirl and Patrick continues to shriek.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eShe's down on a knee, eyes scrunched in pain.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eYou reach up and cover her ears; she holds you tight with her free arm.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eThe air feels cool when it all stops.\n\n \n\n\\\u003ePatrick is still.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eThe rods fall to the ground with a dull sound.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eHis eyes are still open, his chest still moves.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eBut there's hardly any anger in them anymore.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eHe's finally tired.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eYou let go of Rebecca's ears slowly; her arm doesn't move from around you.\n\n \n\n\\\u003e\"Anon,\" she breathes, raising the Tridentia. \"Is it done?\"\n\n \n\n\\\u003eYou shift in her grip, summoning the Kolibri and raising it in turn.\n\n \n\n\\\u003e\"I hope so,\" you say.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eShe huffs.\n\n \n\n\\\u003e\"For his sake,\" you add.\n\n \n\n\\\u003e\"For his sake.\"\n\n \n\n\\\u003eTriggers squeeze.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eFiring pins fall.\n\n \n\n\\\u003eAnd Patrick finally rests.","series":{"name":"Negligent Discharge: Repent","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/2065366-lust.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/2066843-garden-of-eden.json"}}
