~Why were you not wearing your running-light harness and avionics helm?~ Ieesha snarled at the smaller male drake, even as she telekinetically lifted me from the saddle with extreme gentleness to place me on the ground beside her. Whimpering softly, Ieesha gently fussed over me as I gasped for air for a time, completely ignoring the male drake for a moment as she made sure I was okay.

When I nodded, then assured her I was just winded and would recover, my beloved 'ness gave me a reproachful, sorrowful look. Then, midnight-blue eyes narrowing, and teeth bared in a terrible snarl, she slowly turned to face the male dragon she'd rescued and coldly stated again, ~_Why..._ were you not wearing your running light-harness, and avionics helm, male? _Answer_!~

~Because I don't need that human garbage to fly at night!~ the smaller drake roared, frustrated. ~I am a _ **dragon! ** _I don't need the human's garbage technology to see in the dark--~

~--but the humans **_DO!~ _** Ieesha thundered, causing the small male to flinch, and whimper in pain as her psychic voice bludgeoned through his mind like a sledgehammer. ~Stupid, idiot worm! That harness is a vital flight-aid that allows human pilots flying aircraft to see **_us_** at night; the lights broadcast your name and numeric callsign in morse such that other humans piloting aircraft can see you, quickly identify you, and then move to avoid you. Through the headset in your avionics helm - _ **which you are also not wearing -** _ human Air Traffic Control can advise you on needed course corrections, windspeed and weather information, if there are human aircraft flying where you are, emergency procedures, and other such things that are **_extremely important to a dragon in flight!~_**

When the big male snorted, dismissive, Ieesha _slapped_ him, hard, with a wing! ~Idiot worm! Maggot!~ she snarled again. ~Because of your stupidity I had to shove you out of the way of an aircraft flying towards you; you should not have flown here in this human-controlled airspace--not without your light-harness, and avionics helm! During my pushing of you, g-forces pushed my rider forward against the back-spine he normally uses as a handhold, winding him. In short, wretched maggot... you _ **made me harm my RIDER!~** _

"... was doing you a service." The small male mumbled. "... human pet, using you like a Taxi. Pathetic and dishonourable..." And then he spoke no more as, in awe, I watched as my beloved Ieesha promptly kicked seven shades of shit out of him, using her strength, paws, wings, and even tail to utterly _pummel_ him into the ground! He tried to get a few hits in, but any blows he landed, Ieesha deliberately absorbed or deflected with her body, or she shifted her weight about to avoid them, drawing on her training as a Dark Templar of Shakuras. This _ **upstart** _ who knew nothing of her and her kin, was _less than nothing_ in her eyes.

In short, the smaller male was utterly outclassed. As he lay on the ground, belly bared in submission, Ieesha _sneered_ down at him. **~You _foul tahrodiis joor dovah!_**** ~ \*\*\ ***she coldly stated.** ~You know nothing of us, the Omari Kirata, the Companion Dragons of Mankind! I am bound to my Rider and he to me - he is my Beloved Lifemate; we are forever bound in ****_unahzaal vahrukt_, immortal memory. I am _honoured_ to carry him, wherever we may wish to go! Now leave, lest I forget myself and crush you!~**

At her words, the small male _whimpered_ eyes wide with fear; then he painfully got to his feet and _bolted_, tail tucked between his legs. Once he was gone, poor Ieesha _sagged_ for a moment on her feet; then she was padding over to me, flopping down to the ground, curling herself about me, nuzzling my face tenderly, checking that I was okay over and over, sobbing gently even as I moved to hug her large head. "S'okay, Ieesha," I murmured to her gently. "It's okay; I'm here, big girl, it's okay," I murmured to her soothingly.

\*\*\* This phrase translates to, _ **~You foul, treacherous, mortal dragon!~** _ The Omari Kirata are mortal beings, yet they are also nearly _immortal_ in that they live _incredibly_ long lives spanning untold millennia. Here, the word "joor" ("mortal") is used as a dreadful, cutting insult; that -- because a human aircraft could not see him, because he nearly caused the most horrific of accidents, which could have resulted in the deaths of _potential Kirata Fahdon -- _this belligerent _ **worm** _ is unworthy of the life he has been gifted!
