Deep in the woods a strong young wolf named Jake was hunting. Jake was a large male wolf with a well kept coat of black fur and a light grey underbelly and brown eyes. Unlike most of his kind he preferred to hunt alone. Jake didn't really like spending time with anyone in particular and hunting with a pack required a lot of communication and trust in your fellow wolves. However he was still a proud wolf and felt a strong need to support his pack.

Out of the corner of his eye he noticed movement, a brown rabbit standing on it's hind legs spotted him and froze solid. Jake without hesitation broke into a sprint towards the rabbit. the rabbit quickly sprinted away Jake could barley keep up, maneuvering through the dense foliage as he gave chase. Jake was gaining on the rabbit when it turned suddenly and dove through a thick bush. Without thinking Jake followed, while the small rabbit passed right through the bush Jake was not so lucky and found himself tangled in the mess of branches. He struggled to break free as he watched his prey disappear into the woods. 

Thoroughly embarrassed Jake slowly pulled himself from the bramble, how could he be so stupid he could never have made it through that bush. Jake had never been a bad hunter in fact he almost always returned to his village having caught something. He decided to end hunting his trip early and return empty handed and hope for better luck next time.

As he walked through the woods towards town all he could think about was how glad he was that he went hunting alone. He would have never lived it down the other hunters had seen him outsmarted by a simple rabbit. Along his route home he came across a river that passed near to his town. It was a beautiful wide river with crystal clear water. This particular spot though was special, a wonderous waterfall cascaded from midway up the cliff and into the river. Unfortunately it was a quite a distance from the village so most of the wolves where to afraid to venture that far if they did not have to. Jake always enjoyed the waterfall so he always hunted in the woods on the far side of it so he could pass by on the way to his hunting grounds.

Just past the waterfall Jake spotted another wolf drinking from the river. He recognized her, she was a small female wolf named Samara. Samara had a beautiful dark grey coat with a tan underbelly and mussel. Her eyes where breathtaking, deep blue like the sky. Jake always had a crush on Samara ever since they were pups but was far to afraid to ever tell her.

When she finished drinking she noticed Jake and said "Hi Jake, are you out hunting?"

Jake nodded "Unfortunately I had no luck today."

Samara smiled "I'm surprised you always catch something." Then giggled and continued  "I think it makes the other packs jealous." 

Jake smiled back and asked "What are you doing all the way out here you aren't a hunter." 

Samara looked towards the waterfall and spoke "I just love this area it is so beautiful, don't you think?" 

Jake responded "Yes but you really shouldn't be out this far alone it can be dangerous." 

Samara sat down and smiled at him teasingly "Look whose talking." 

Jake retorted "That is different I'm a hunter we need to go far to find prey and we are trained to keep ourselves safe." 

Samara replied playfully saying "Dose that training usually include hunting without a pack? Besides do you really think that training is going to help if you come across a dragon?" 

Jake smiled back and said "I suppose you right but there are other dangers in the woods besides dragons." 

Samara smiled flirtatiously "Well in that case maybe you should escort me here from now on." 

Jake continued smiling "Since I clearly cant convince you to stop coming here I suppose that is a good compromise." He stopped and looked towards the sky "It's getting late we should start heading back now." 

Samara was barley able to contain her exactment, she had loved Jake for a very long time but Jake almost always avoided spending time with anyone. She was so glad that she may finally have some time to spend with him. Samara stood and started walking towards the waterfall, she said "I am not ready to go yet I want to watch the sunset." 

Jake followed reluctantly and said "Very well but we need to leave as soon as the sun sets, the later it gets the more predators are out." 

She smiled at him playfully as she started running and said "Come on then I know a good spot." 

Jake chased happily as Samara led him back past the waterfall and up a hill to the top of the cliff about thirty feet above were the waterfall spilled out. At the top of the cliff was a small clearing that looked out over the whole valley that was home to their village. The sunset had jus begun when they arrived, Jake was stunned by the beautiful view as he sat down to watch in aw.

Samara came up beside him and sat a little closer than had Jake expected and said "Isn't it beautiful?" as she pressed her body against Jake and nuzzled up under his chin.

Jake panicked a little, he was not sure what to do, he had never been in this situation before. He did like how it felt to be cuddling with her though so all he said was "Yes, it is."

The two young wolves sat on the cliffside quietly and enjoyed the sunset and each others company for nearly a fifteen minutes before Samara spoke "It must be very lonely out here hunting all the time." 

Jake replied "It can be but I generally like to be alone."

She smiled and looked at him and said "Well if you ever get too lonely or just want some warmth my tent is always open to you." before snuggling back up to him. 

When the sun finally set behind the mountains the wolves stood and began to walk back to the village. They walked with Samara in the lead and Jake following close behind. Samara walked ahead intentionally she wanted to tease Jake a little as she strutted confidently back towards the village. He very much did notice this but was not shore he liked how he felt, he liked Samara but was not sure he was ready to mate yet.

They finally approached the village just after dark. The village had a wooden wall about twenty feet tall with a large gate that was open with an armored wolf on either side. The guards were preparing to close the gate for the night as the pair of wolves approached. 

One of the guards spoke "Samara I was about to send a patrol out to find you. You really should be back before it gets dark."

Samara replied "I know. I know but don't worry I have a protector now" as she gestured towards Jake.

Jake spoke up and said "Hi Apollo, I agreed to walk her home and go with her in the future if she wants to go on any more adventures."

Apollo Smiled at Jake appreciatively "I am glad to hear it I couldn't live with myself if I let her leave by herself and she never came back. Its dangerous to go so far out where we cant protect you but if you must I am glad a competent hunter like Jake will be with you."

Jake and Samara continued walking as Apollo and the other guard shut the gate knowing now that all the people who left through their gate are know back in the village for the night. The other two wolves continued past several tents of varying size mostly made of branches and stitched together small animal hides. They finally reached the tent that belonged to Samara. She turned, looked at Jake and said "Remember what I said you are always welcome to join me." before nuzzling into his neck and entering the tent. She was hopeful he would come in even if he didn't stay the night, but did not expect him to. She was pretty sure he was still to nervous to make a move.

Jake stood there motionless trying to build up the courage to follow her into her tent but couldn't. After several minutes he continued onward towards his tent. When he arrived he decided to go straight to bed. He laid on his bed for hours restlessly all he could think about was Samara. Kicking himself for not taking advantage of the opportunity she gave him. She clearly wanted him as much as he wanted her. Why didn't he follow her? He hoped in the morning she would be outside his tent waiting for, him wanting to go back out with her to her favorite spot so he might get another chance.

As Jake sat there tossing and turning he was going back through everything Samara said. When it hit him she didn't just invite him in tonight she said he was "always welcome". Did she really mean it could he really come by whenever he wanted? She did say if he was ever lonely and he certainly was lonely. Would she really be okay with it if he walked over to her tent in the middle of the night and asked to spend the night with her.

He contemplated these questions for a while before finally deciding to go for it. The paths between the tents were empty as it was quiet late, Jake certainly didn't mind he did not want anyone to see him heading for Samara's. He arrived at the entrance to her tent and hesitated slightly but stuck his head in and whispered "Samara are you awake." There was no response but her fire was still burning witch was not strange it was a chilly night. He could see her curled up sleeping on her bed at the back of the tent. Struck again with indecision he debated whether to wake her or just go home. 

Jake finally built up the courage and entered the tent. As he got closer to her she shifted and rolled over onto her back with her legs in the air and her legs spread. He thought he woke her and panicked a little but calmed down when he realized she was still asleep. As he got even closer he realized he could clearly see her sex and how wet it was. Not only that he could smell her more so than usual she must have been more exited than he thought. 

He realized that he had to make a decision now if she woke and saw him standing there she would think he was creepy. Weather it was make a move, snuggle up against her or leave he had to do it now. Once again the smell of her sex became apparent to him and his instincts took over.

After what felt like an eternity to Jake, Samara asked "Are you ready."

These animals all exist in there natural form(or close to it) meaning they are not anthros But ferals(__they walk on all fours).__  In addition there are many fantasy creature such as dragons and griffins, however anything that is a hybrid with humans such as centaurs, minitours and mermaids  __do not exist. Magic is also prevalent in the world and most beings can access it to a limited degree and can use it to manipulate objects around them.__  _
