Climbing a fallen tree, I found a view back to you with a bend

I can’t reach a point worth letting go, but there’s nothing left close of a friend 

So crazy, your so close, yet so far 

Like a bright light in the sky, but not a star

It flickers among shadows near by

It’s known, so no reason for anyone to ask why

Damb, is all I can honestly now say

It’s not good, but I’m sure it’ll all pass one day

That goal, I guarantee to me

It’s all, one day, I’d like to see
