Recently, I visited a place I knew well, 10 years ago…

There wasn’t one person still around I used to know…

I only hope there at peace, or in a better place

To dreams they had, I hope they found happiness with what they gave chase 

Kinda sad, but never not reality

I left before my mind made calamity 

It was reassuring for some reason, in the short visit that took place

It helped me say some goodbyes, I guess to what I wanted to face

Amazing, life

Time, to some degree, a surprising mental knife
