Flashing back from moments that broke two hearts apart

It really was a sinking ship from the very start

Her smile still haunts my dreams when out of control 

Whispers of mental honesty take time, taking that heavy toll

From numb movements, to avoiding eye contact

We drifted to other worlds, it’s an undeniable sad fact

Simple, & secluding 

Time makes mountainous distance from what could be understandable brooding 

No goal wanted, I simply carry the past with a light smile

We happened,  listening clearly nowadays, I still like to get lost in the past for a while
