# Commission prices & TOS (2024)

Time for a big commission revamp!

**Prices:**  
Base price: $4  
Word rate: $1 / nearest 100words (min $6)  
Privacy fee: $3  
Length fee: +(subtotal)%, rounded to the nearest dollar  
_[This length fee is to account for how longer commissions take proportionally more brainstorming, worldbuilding, and plotting]  
Examples:_ 1010 words = $4 + $10 + 14% = $16 ; 2785 words = $4 + $28 + 32% = $42

**How to commission me:**

- _When I make a journal opening for commissions_, send me a PM with your idea - characters, general setting, situation, etc.
- Mention whether you want a "short" (~1,000 words), "regular" (~4,000), "large" (~7,000), or "huge" (\>10,000 words) story
- We'll talk, and if I confirm I'll point you to my Ko-fi page where you will pay half of the \*estimated\* cost up front
- When I'm done, I'll send you a PDF of your story, post it (unless you wish it to be kept private), and you pay the rest of the final total commission price

**Writer's rights:**

- Respect for what I say I won't or can't write.  I'm willing to take on a large range of things, but there will be things I'm uncomfortable with or feel I don't have the ability to do well.  For an example of the former, I won't do (non-vore) snuff, and of the latter, I think I'm far from the best person to go to for an F/F story.
- Full ownership of the work - I will keep a copy, post it, and potentially use it as an example of my product (though will forgo the latter two if you want the commission to be private).  This is why I'll send a PDF and not the DOCX.\*
- Recognition on any/all reposts.\*  If you post the story as a PDF, as copied text, or from the DOCX\*, please give credit in the description.

**Commissioner's rights:**

- Timely return of the commission.  Expect roughly 1 week per estimated 2,000 words - this is just a hobby for me!
- Size communication - if it starts looking like your idea will take significantly more words than estimated, I will reach out to give you a heads-up and the opportunity to edit your idea if you wish to avoid a significant price increase.
- Satisfaction compensation - If the commission is clearly wrong in some way, or if it has taken noticeably too long to complete, you have the right to request a reduced price OR an extension/reworking of your commission OR compensation in the form of a new half-price short story
- \*_Repost request_ - After receiving the PDF of your commission, if you wish to repost it with the original text (i.e. not posting the PDF or a copied version of my original post) you may request to also receive the DOCX of your commission.
