{"sf1_id":215097,"sf2_id":"zeRLowEn","title":"Poem: Sorrow","author":"shyfox5","words":345,"posted_at":"2011-01-21T07:02:00.000Z","tags":["Love","Poem","Sorrow","happiness","partner"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/215097-poem-sorrow","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/zeRLowEn","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/48/0e/480ef70f-1ebd-49c5-8e79-fa8721e00efd","description":"","content":"I sit upon my bed at night\n\nand yet I cannot sleep\n\nall I do is sit and think\n\nand weep and weep and weep\n\nI weep for those who know me\n\nand hate me to the core\n\nI weep for those who've heard of me\n\nand the things that I adore\n\nNo matter where I go or tread\n\nit's always been the same\n\npeople always run or hide\n\nor improve their hateful aim\n\nThose who know me\n\nall say the same mean, and hurtful thing\n\nour lives would've been way better\n\nif we'd never heard of him\n\nYet those who like me, for who I am\n\nlook past my diseased part\n\nthey figure their lives surely couldn't\n\nsee a better start\n\nYet as they drag me along\n\nall I can ask is why?\n\nNo benefit will come of me\n\nso why do you even try?\n\nThey drag me on and on and on\n\nbut I only slow them down\n\nbe free of me, forevermore\n\njust leave me here to drown\n\nHappiness eluded me,\n\nin order for it to come\n\nI escaped to virtual worlds and times\n\ntoo hard to overcome\n\nyet all throughout, I managed to see\n\none spot of hope and light\n\nthis happiness was brief but bright\n\nand rid me of this blight\n\nTo the girl I love, where are you now?\n\nI found in an endless sea\n\nof people wrought with pain and doubt\n\nplease hear my sorrow plea\n\nTo be with you is all I ask\n\nto be within your arms\n\nto find happiness, in this world of death\n\nto be far out of harms\n\nPlease return my feelings please\n\nI know you know it's true\n\nlook to your heart, and I know you will\n\nbelieve it is true too\n\nDo what you may, do what you might\n\nI am near the end\n\nno more can I lose from this world\n\nnothing more that I can mend\n\nI love you is the hardest words\n\none can ever say\n\nhopefully this poem speaks them\n\nin a way I could never say\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
