With her ability to communicate restricted and not knowing where her companions are, Stella has to figure out how to revert back to human and escape the ghost wolf's grasp._\n \n\nSome might find how this chapter plays out odd, but I wanted it to be true to Stella's character.\n \n \n\n[Posted using PostyBirb](http://www.postybirb.com)","content":"The town of Petterdown was dealing with strange disappearances, and when Stella investigated those disappearances yesterday, she found the cause! A ghost wolf has been transforming people into wolves to join his pack and unfortunately Stella found this out by being one of the latest victims to the spectral lupine's curse. \n \nAfter a night of initiating herself into her new wolf life, she awakens wondering what the new day will have in store... \n \n \n \nStella woke up and could feel the strange of her wolf body. Oh yeah, she was transformed into a wolf yesterday. Her eyes opened and she looked at her fluffy legs, jostling them to assure they were hers. Yep, she was a wolf and it wasn't just a strange dream she had. \n \nAround her were a double dozen of other wolves. She got on her feet and arose above the sea of lupines. She tried to ask if anyone else was awake but all that came out were some soft barks. She had forgotten she could not speak. \n \nThe other wolves woke up. They got on their feet and looked around, some of them confused as to where they were before they remember the what had happened yesterday and how they spent the night in the cave. It would take some adapting waking up among twenty other furry strangers. \n \nThe alpha wolf walked in from the outside, his luminous body lighting up the cave brighter than anything the morning sun had to offer. The alpha told his collection of wolves that they would learn to hunt and ordered them out of the cave. \n \nUnder the morning sun, the alpha lead the wolves down from the plateau they had claimed as their home, across some fields, and down into a valley, having to walk down a man-made pathway down into the thick shrubbery and grass. There were lots of pleasant sounds and smells coming from the valley, and Stella was feeling hungry. \n \nOn the way down the slant, Stella looked over at Winton. The boy wolf glanced back and smiled. The boy didn't know what to do and he didn't know how to speak wolf so what else was he meant to do but give a smile like it meant something? \n \nThe alpha spoke walked in front of the pack, his fiery white tail swaying in the air. He siad, \"If you are to live as a wolf, you must hunt like a wolf. Down here there are rabbits and deer-- perfect food for us of fang and sharp noses.\" \n \nHunt? Stella wasn't the kind to hunt. She tried hunting when she was a kid and was terrible with a bow and even when she had access to a crossbow she was a poor aim. The idea of hunting deer sickened her and she would have switched to vegetarianism if she could have, but that was not on the table with her being a wolf. \n \nStepping down into the valley, the grasses felt nice on the paws of the wolves. The alpha told them to keep low and quiet. A couple dozen wolves entering the valley was enough to make all the forest creatures split as an army of meat-eaters had arrived. \n \n\"The veteran wolves will each take a newcomer to educate the new one on how to hunt,\" said the alpha. He stepped forward before Winton and Stella. \"Learn from your master. You will need these skills to survive.\" \n \nA taller she-wolf with a red coat walked up to Stella and gestured Stella to follow. Stella looked around and saw the more confident wolves take command of the newcomers. A pair of wolves walked up to Winton and directed the boy to follow. \n \nStella followed the red wolf. \n \nThe experience reminded Stella of the time she went on a foraging assignment during her academy days. It was weird that walking through the forest as a wolf could trigger any memory of her human life but the red wolf reminded her of her drow senior that taught her a lot about identifying detailed specimens of northern flowers. \n \nThe red wolf squatted down to show Stella to stay low. Stella got the message and got low, creeping along the ground with the red one, their furry bodies rubbing against the grass. Stella got a whiff of deer and knew what was going on. Stella followed the red one through the tall grass, quiet and slow so that they could sneak up on a large doe nibbling on grasses by a stream. \n \nThe wolves went still. Stella's heart raced, loud enough that powerful ears could hear it. That was, she assumed so. The doe raised her head, looking around like she heard something. \n \nThe red wolf attacked! The red one sprinted at the doe and had her fangs close to the deer's leg before the deer took off. Stella got running and the two wolves chased down the deer. Stella didn't even know what she was doing. All the actions she took were instincts-- of her wolf form or of her own personality, she couldn't know which. \n \nThe red wolf got a nip on the does leg and it squealed. Another bit on the leg-- a deep one-- and the doe fell. The doe had a second to struggle before the red wolf's teeth went around its neck. It died quickly. \n \nStella walked over to see the red wolf tearing open the does flesh, the deer's body barely settling by the time the red wolf tore open it's torso. Stella looked at the carnage the red wolf had unveiled and was disgusted, but it was a kind of disgust that only boiled on the surface of her mind. The human part of her was disgusted to see anyone or anything eat raw flesh from the bones of a just-killed deer, but Stella was hungry. \n \nShe walked up and bit into the flesh, bumping ears with the red wolf. It should have been gross, that's what her instincts told her, but she was able to take a mouthful of muscle, chew it and swallow without getting sick. She was hungry and the doe filled her stomach. \n \nSome other wolves, probably those not very successful in a hunt, came over to help the red wolf and Stella consume the carcass of a doe. The five of them cleared that forest floor of its dead deer, leaving behind scraps of body and bones. Blood seeped into the ground. \n \nBreakfast was over with and the alpha took the wolves out of the valley back up to the regular ground. On the way up, Stella looked over at Winton, the smith boy having sullied with his white fur with red. \n \nWhen she got back up to the normal land height, she looked around the horizon to see if she could have spotted Petterdown among the view. She let her instincts guide her in guessing which way the town would have been but she didn't see any buildings nor any pillars of smoke. How far away were they from Petterdown? \n \n\"Now that we have filled our stomachs,\" said the alpha, \"let us take a minute to relax.\" \n \nThe alpha lay down in an open field. The other wolves joined him, maybe to nap for a minute if they felt they didn't get enough rest that morning. \n \nStella lied down and thought to herself. Now that she had a moment to think, she wondered what was going to happen to them now that they were wolves. Were they going remain wolves for the rest of their lives? Were those lives going to be shorter now that they were wolves? \n \nThe girl knew it was foolish to worry about such longterm things with it not even it being 24 hours since she was transformed. She worried anyway. And what of her crew? There wasn't a chance that Stella's companions knew where she was at or what happened to her. The only thing she left behind back in Petterdown was her equipment in her room and a puddle where she was transformed. There was no way that Lorf, Sarlo and Hamlesh could know where the human girl had gone off to. \n \nStella had to escape. If she could sneak away from the alpha, she could at least get to Petterdown. A wolf in Petterdown was a tempting thing to shoot with a bow but danger was chasing Stella's ass anyway. \n \nThe wolves had gathered around the alpha in a clearing but while the alpha had his back turned, Stella crawled away. She was quiet and slow. Not even the other wolves noticed Stella shift away from the pack. Would it be truly that simple? Would Stella be able to escape? \n \nThe wolves got farther away and Stella moved into a field of unkempt wheat, the crop consuming her fur like fire. What were the chances that the alpha would notice one less wolf in the pack anyway? \n \nStella turned his eyes away from the pack resting in the clearing and turned ahead, cutting through the wheat as she walked off. \n \nOk, thought Stella. I need to get back to Petterdown and find the guys. \nShe thought for a moment. Lorf and Sarlo were very formidable and aggressive warriors. If they saw a wolf coming, they would likely reach for their blades and lob off Stella's head before the girl could even attempt to communicate. \n \nHamlesh, the lapid mage, had powerful magic but didn't seem like he would burn the fur off of Stella's body within the second. That didn't excuse the problem of other people-- humanoids-- that might attack Stella if they saw her get close but if she was careful and used her human knowledge to navigate into the town, maybe she would be ok. \n \n\"And where do you think you're going?\" \n \nStella jumped. It was the alpha. She turned to see his spectral face glaring at her. She cowered and whimpered. \n \nThe alpha chuckled. \"Nice try, but you are part of my pack now and you are not leaving.\" He walked up beside her and bumped her with his nose. \"Next time you try to escape I'll bite off part of your tail. Let it not come to that.\" \n \nStella knew she had been caught. She got on her feet and followed the alpha back to the pack, where everyone rested. \n \n \n \nWhat was she going to do? She wanted to escape or at least cure everyone's wolf affliction. She looked around and took special notice of the veteran wolves, like the one with red fur. Fuck, thought Stella, they probably had only been wolves a day or two longer than her. They had already gotten used to being wolves, like they had been four-legged and fluffy for years. \n \nStella saw Winton. The white fur on his neck had cleaned up. Stella wondered if Winton was thinking the same things as her. She crawled over to him, thinking of what she could say. She tried to speak and all that came out was a bark. And that's all it meant. It was a bark. If Stella heard it she would have interpreted it as a bark herself. \n \nStella and Winton exchanged some gruffs but there was no communicating. Would they ever learn how to speak wolf? Was that in the long term of the alpha's plan? \n \nThe rest of the day was playtime, a time for exploration, trying out berries, and doing other activities. Relaxing was a fun time as a wolf and Stella found a pondside to lay herself down for a minute. \n \nMaybe there was nothing she could do? The thought dreaded Stella but at the same time she felt as peace. Being a wolf was very comfortable. She was naked and she didn't care. Most of her free time was having sex. It was a life she fantasized about as a human every once in a while. \n \nThe answer would come to her in time, she thought. Or she hoped. \n \nThe night came around the wolves did their usual thing of having sex up on the plateau where they slept. Stella felt like she should have restrained herself but then she saw a handsome wolf, a little bit taller than she was, and she had to present to the gent. She lifted her hindquarters at him and the wolf climbed on her like a ladder. \n \nStella passed herself around the crowd of wolves until she was spent and she slipped into the cave to sleep. \n \n \n \nThe next day was the same. The wolves awoke and went to the valley for breakfast. Stella had mixed feelings about eating the raw flesh of a rabbit that had just been killed but consumed her meal anyway. They went back up to the plains to run around and get some exercise. \n \nIt felt good to run across the fields, the wind whipping through Stella's fur. She saw Winton and the two got in a competition, seeing who could outrun who. Even without words, they could communicate well enough to dictate that the edge of the plains was the starting point and the part of the plains that turned into rocky crags was the finish line. \n \nThey played for awhile but another pair of wolves got the feeling for sex and got going. The other wolves saw the horny pair mating in the tall grasses. Why not? It was fun. It might have been an activity meant for late nights at the plateau but everyone's loins were screaming throughout the day and the couple in the grasses couldn't help themselves. \n \nOthers joined in. They paired up-- male unto female-- and got fucking around the fields. The alpha didn't interrupt so the wolves' horny behavior was sanctioned, the wolves assumed. The gentle afternoon turned into a session of mating. \n \nEven Stella got on board. Winton and her were running around but when they saw the wolves overcome with horny like it crept across them like a sickness, Stella positioned herself on the ground, hind legs up, so that Winton could check out her warm sex. The smith boy couldn't resist! \n \nStella knew that she should have concentrated on finding out what was going on but it felt good to get fucked under the afternoon sun out in the open with nobody to tell her to stop. Maybe being a wolf was better. While she was in that form, the sensory in her head telling her to head to the temple was quiet. She could live like a wolf and have fun... no more worrying about rent or houses. And she would finally have what she had been craving for so long-- good sex. \n \nStella cycled out a number of mates before the wolves' love spell had broken and they went back to other activities. Stella walked into a nearby copse and smelled around for some berries. Were wolves allowed to have berries? If wolves weren't allowed to eat berries, Stella assumed the berries wouldn't smell so sweet but she wondered if that was a residual effect of her being once human. \n \nThe blueberries she found looked good. It was a blueberry-- Stella was sure even if her wolf eyesight wasn't good at distinguishing color. She picked off a single berry and gave it half a bite before swallowing. It wasn't flavorful but didn't upset her either. She would let it rest in her and if she didn't get sick then there was a chance wolves could eat berries. \n \nThe afternoon passed by. Getting lost in lupine fun made time pass so quickly and between blinks, the afternoon turned to night. The wolves gathered at the alpha's special meeting place, the one where he initiated Stella a couple nights ago. The pillars were lit again-- the stone pillars with big flames flickering on top like the rocks were drenched in oil. \n \nEveryone had to gather at the clearing to hear the alpha's sermon. The grasses and weeds that measured up to the tallest wolf walled in the clearing. The wolves entered and sat before the flat stone that served as a pedestal. \n \nThe alpha took the stage. \n \n\"I think I have found a mighty pack,\" said the alpha. \"I could have gone for true-born wolves but I prefer those who used to be humanoid. You enjoy your wolfhood on a deeper level than the common beasts.\" \n \nEveryone paid attention to their alpha's speech. Some didn't look totally into it but they listened in anyway. No one tried to sneak away. \n \n\"I crave a pack of my own,\" said the alpha. \"I might be a being from beyond this plane of existence but my desires for kinship are not dissimilar from the living beings of this world.\" \n \nThe sermon went on, but it was more of the same. Though, Stella thought that the life of a spirit, as the alpha was, must have been lonely. She remembered the deer spirit she met by her hometown of Drecker-- that first night she left for her journey. Was that deer a lonely creature too? \n \nDrecker... the thought of it made Stella's heart sink. She truly missed the place. She missed her friends, and she wanted to see Patros. She couldn't resign to be a wolf-- she had a life back as a human. \n \nShe waited for the alpha to end his speech and walk off. It was almost nighttime and the wolves were getting cozy with each other. Winton had found himself a female to lay beside. \n \nStella couldn't ask Winton for help. She would have to figure it out herself. Spirits... could they be disabled? Could they be vanquished? Could transformations be cured? Stella had to concentrate. She knew that there were plants that weakened spirits, including a kind of weed that grew around berries. \n \nLike the berries she found earlier. \n \nStella snuck off, leaving the clearing. \n \nI can be a hero! thought Stella. I'll get me and the others out of the situation and prove that I have what it takes to be a warrior! \n \nStella stopped. There was a male wolf in front of her, looking behind at her with a smile. He shifted his hips, swinging his balls around. \n \nStella dove under his legs and propped his body up with her backside. Within a second, the male had her in his paws and was thrusting into her like a swordsman. \n \nStella smiled, head full of nothing but ecstasy. \n \n \n \n\"That spirit has been seen around this area,\" said Hamlesh. \n \nLorf, Sarlo, and Hamlesh had spent the last couple days in Petterdown searching for the cause of disappearances around town since their companion Stella had ended up among those who had vanished. It took investigating, working with the constabulary, but the trio of warriors had figured out what had happened. \n \nThey traveled through the fields. Lorf, the mighty orc, had his large sword at his back although he was told spirits could not be harmed by normal weaponry from his friend Hamlesh, the lapid mage carrying a couple scrolls in a satchel and a wand of revert form. Sarlo came along. She had her blades with her knowing that the weapons, nothing but steel, wouldn't be able to hurt a spirit but if the spirit had minions, she would be ready. \n \nThey traveled across the field under the evening moonlight, Petterdown behind them. The town fell below the horizon as they walked in the direction that the villager pointed them to. A few villagers had heard a festival of howls over the last couple nights but they assumed that it was just a pack of wolves. Lorf and the others knew it was something more when they discovered a spirit wolf had been seen as well. \n \nIt was the same story as always, the few of them had to help the world around them. They were accomplished warriors and peace-keepers. Solving problems and saving people was the usual. \n \nThis was the first time that a person under their direct protection had gotten captured though. Stella was proving to be a troublesome client. \n \nAcross the field there was a light, and they could hear barks coming from the distance. Hamlesh, with his very adapt lapid ears, could hear more. There were sounds of playing, barking, and shtupping. Truly, they were heading towards a gathering of wolves. \n \nAs they got close, they got low and moved downwind so that the wolves could not pick up their scent. The wall of grasses covered them. The three of them edged closer to the clearing, and saw the spectral wolf on a pedestal. \n \n\"My children... my tribe...\" said the alpha. \"Perhaps this is the start of a new people-- of the future rulers of this realm!\" \n \nThe wolves listened in, most of them. Some were preoccupied with mating while others were gnawing on bones. \n \n\"You will tell the younger generations that you were among the first to be part of my tribe,\" said the alpha. \n \n\"Hardly so, spirit!\" \n \nIt was Lorf. He hopped out of a wall of grass and stood tall, trying to intimidate as many wolves as he could with his tall, stony stature. Most of the wolves didn't know what was going on. Sarlo hopped out of the grass too and readied a stance with her two blades out. \n \nThe wolves were not prepared to fight for their alpha. They were not warriors-- only humans on their fourth or fifth day of being a four-legged creature. They backed off, not terrified but cautious about the tall orc with a huge sword behind his back and hobgoblin lady with two blades. \n \nHamlesh walked out of the grasses and reached into his satchel to pull out a scroll. \n \nThe alpha folded his ears in fear and dropped his jaw. He knew what the scroll was for and what magic rested inside its ink. \"No! M-my tribe!\" \n \nHamlesh rolled it out and shouted: \"Banish spirit!\" \n \nThe alpha got to scream one final \"No!\" before the ink on the scroll glowed and a yellow light splintered at the alpha. The yellow light attacked the specter and devoured his body like acid to ice. Within a few seconds, the spirit wolf was gone. \n \nThe wolves-- the humanoids transformed into wolves-- looked at the trio of warriors, knowing they were there to rescue them. A few wolves stepped up to them and lowered themselves, whimpering-- pleading to be transformed back into their original forms. \n \nSarlo put her blades away, smiling. \"That was easy.\" \n \nLorf relaxed his posture and looked around at the wolves. \"Guess that one didn't have any resistance.\" \n \nHamlesh stepped out in front of his companions and took out the wand. The lapid could feel the energy coursing through the little piece of wood, signifying that there were many charges left on the device. Would they be enough for all the wolves? \n \nHe pointed the wand at one of the wolves pleading before Lorf and Sarlo. With wands, one didn't even need to speak to get it to work-- you only had to think it to get the magics to activate. The wand fired a bolt of revert form at the wolf and the wolf turned into an orc male... as naked as the wolf form he had before. \n \nThe orc looked at himself. He was back to his old self! The joy of being back to normal was mixed with the embarrassment of being naked, the orc having his buttcheeks out in the open taking two hands down to his crotch to hide himself. \n \nSarlo raised an eyebrow. She got a glimpse of the orc's body before he stamped his arms down to cover his crotch and the hobgoblin warrior liked the show! \n \nOther wolves approached-- some stopping their mating-- as they needed to be returned to normal-- both happy to be back in their old forms and embarrassed that they would be naked. Humans, drow, hobgoblin, goblin, and a satyr as well were among the transformed people. The alpha wolf had a diverse pack of humanoids to take from, all of them adults between the ages of 18 to 50. \n \nSarlo and Lorf followed Hamlesh around the clearing to fix everyone. The transformed persons came out of their wolf forms and huddled on the ground, too embarrassed to show themselves. Unfortunately, they needed to get back to town within a reasonable amount of time and get some clothes soon as it was a cooler night and prolonged exposure to the outdoors would get them ill. \n \nAs Lorf, Sarlo, and Hamlesh walked around, they heard the sound of two wolves barking and growling. Just outside of the clearing, down the hill, there were wolves in the midst of shtupping. Apparently the incident with the alpha and the scroll of banish spirit went down without those two mutts noticing. \n \nHamlesh walked forward. \"Ahem!\" \n \nThe wolves stopped. The male unhinged from the female and they looked at the trio of warriors like they had been caught stealing from the market. \n \nThe lapid raised the wand and zapped them back into their humanoid forms. The male was a goblin, his dick (fairly big) still hard from the wolf sex he was having, and the female was Stella-- the human they were searching for all along! \n \nStella yelped and closed her legs and folded her arms to hide her breasts. She blushed so hard it glowed. \n \nLorf, Sarlo, and Hamlesh stared at the girl, having trouble holding back laughter. \n \n\"Sorry to interrupt!\" said Sarlo. \n \nThe goblin man got on his feet. Stella looked over at the goblin, the man she was just fucking. She cringed. \"You're... you're a goblin?\" \n \nThe goblin man strained his brow. \"You got a problem with that?\" \n \nSarlo took a hand to her mouth to stifle a laugh. \"Guess Stella here likes 'em short!\" \n \nThe goblin man smiled and jutted his chest out proudly. \"I may be short\"-- he reached down and slapped his dick-- \"but this isn't!\" \n \nThe goblin man walked to the clearing, bowing at Stella before walking off. Stella rose to her feet, moving a hand down to her crotch. \n \n\"So this is where you went off to,\" said Lorf. \"You were off getting fucked! You should have told us.\" \n \nSarlo laughed. \"Are we going to have to let you out at night to get fucked each town we visit?\" \n \nHamlesh chuckled. \"Come on. There's some clothes back in town.\" \n \nStella bit the bullet and walked with her companions. \n \n \n \nThe trio of warriors took Stella and the others back to town, the reverted humanoids embarrassed by their nudity, covering their privates and chests with hands. For those without the hooves of a satyr, walking across grass in bare feet could be irritating but they suffered it to get back home. \n \n\"This delayed the trip,\" said Lorf. \"We will rest up tonight and then hit the road tomorrow.\" \n \nHamlesh stretched out his hands and cracked his knuckles. \"I don't know if we have a time limit.\" He looked over at Stella, the human girl with her head low with arms bundled up on her chest. \"Hey Stella, is that thing in your head still?\" \n \nStella concentrated. She felt a strong pull inside her skull, like before. It was the compass that the heavens gave her and it pulled her to the east like before. The gods still had a mission for it and tomorrow it would have continued. \n \n\"Yeah,\" she said quietly. \n \n\"Alright.\" Lorf looked back at the crowd of involuntary nudists. \"We'll get everyone here dressed and returned to their families and then we'll head to the inn.\" \n \nSarlo slid over beside Stella and put an arm around the human, feeling the girl's shoulder. \"And no sex tonight, huh girly? You've likely had enough for the next season!\" \n \nSarlo and Lorf laughed. Hamlesh smiled. Stella remained quiet. \n \nMaybe I'm not warrior material after all, thought Stella. \n \n--"}
