The nights calling me today

Between each blink, I can’t seem to look away

The moon glows with anticipation 

It knows, my personal hesitation

To hold another, after so long alone

It twists my mentality, to every bone

This warm feeling from each other feels so very wrong

It’s, the pieces of a paradise, to many that I didn’t want, all along

I don’t deserve or need, any such feelings anymore

I’ve said buy to many times, to those I did adore

Reality shouldn’t again, be so kind

I have true peace, in my mind

Let tomorrow be like today

Don’t allow my heart, to get carried away
