A cold breeze brought me to an old memory

Us, still standing still, in bad history 

Ordinarily scary, I felt calm through what was felt heavy for  so many years

I see clearly now, through all the sad, I’m without regretful tears

It’s not supposed to feel like nothing now, but that’s how it is these days

I moved on, & found worth, & new meaning, in ol’ loving ways

I sometimes like smiling for no reason, just in a moment

I’m truly happy, feeling fulfilled, & calmly content 

Honest beyond a caring lie, I’ll tell as kindly as I can, exactly how, or why

Even if it isn’t easy, or unclear to a good ending, I promise, I’ll try
