I rarely leave my house; when I've gone outside, I notice that my skin is so white I can see the veins now. Yeah. My mental issues have gotten worse; I can't work. Dealing with people is pretty hard, meds or not. But I still get up every morning, and sometimes, there's still friends who support me.","content":"I'm all alone,\n\nOnce again...\n\n  \n\nMy empty home is\n\nDevoid of friends.\n\n  \n\nStill, some, they call,\n\nOr show at odd hours,\n\nTo share a few drinks,\n\nOr maybe some flower.\n\n  \n\nIt's been a year, or\n\nNearly two,\n\nSince I've left this house\n\nWith something to do.\n\n  \n\nMy skin has gone pale;\n\nIt's deathly white,\n\nIt's been so long since\n\nI've seen sunlight,\n\n  \n\nThe sun feels so bright,\n\nThat star from afar,\n\nStill I shun its gift,\n\nAnd it shows with the sight.\n\n  \n\nOf me.\n\n  \n\nI can't explain why I\n\nSimply stay inside,\n\nInstead of living life,\n\nTaking things in stride.\n\n  \n\nBut still I rise with dry eyes,\n\nAnd unlike some,\n\nI feel a peace.\n\n  \n\nA freedom to choose\n\nWhether to rise,\n\nOr follow my\n\nWild heartbeat.","series":{"name":"Poetry, both old and new","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/2157162-trained-killers-freestyle-write.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/2180589-i-know-not-my-worth.json"}}
