Bueno\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\n \n\nYou look at my eyes and in a sense I’m looking back at yours\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nBut also at our surroundings that are all around\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nEyes are supposed to be like doors\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nAnd I feel like revealing too much of what’s behind them is a decision unsound\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nBut I’m not in complete control of what people do and don’t see\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nThough I do try to keep my eyes from staring or wandering\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nAnd staying aware as I try and tread carefully\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nNot bothering with words right now in case I end up squandering\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nThem as I try and let silence take their place calculating internally\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nSo you catch me off guard when you tell me not to give you that look\n\n \n\nAnd I wish I knew how I was doing it\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nAs you reel me back into things with your verbal hook\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nAnd I become self conscious again at what emotions my eyes emit\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nWorried that they’ve made what I’m thinking so clear\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nBut knowing I’ve been misread plenty of times before\n\n \n\nEspecially at times when my mind drifts and isn’t fully there or here\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nThat’s why I try to stay someone whose presence someone could ignore\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nNot constantly of course for there can be so much to do\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nAnd to do it I still need to be willing to be seen and looked at right in the eyes\u0026nbsp;\n\n \n\nTo let myself be interpreted by someone else and I can let that be you \u0026nbsp;  \n\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;"}
