Beautiful moon in the starless sky  
With darkness all around  
Lonely moon floating by  
When earth has no sound  
  
All will dream when you are out  
And know you give them light  
When there are monsters, fear and doubt  
Your love will be most bright  
  
The stars unseen that worship above  
And the humans down below  
Shall send you praise and gifts of love  
In hopes you shall never go  
  
The sun may be bright and cheery  
But you mysteriousness puts you ahead  
Though at times you can be eerie  
Most songs and poems about you are read  
  
Wonderful moon, may you always brighten the night sky  
And shower the earth with your wondrous light  
Please sister moon as the many years go by  
Stay and watch over us, all through the night
