Something I heard made me smile, like long before 

It was a compliment, I did adore

  

It made my heart beat steady 

Like the day would end, & tomorrow, I would be ready

  

Soothing to the soul, I enjoyed every moment

It made fire in me, leaving me truly content 

  

I felt again, truly worthwhile

Inside & out, I had an honest smile

  

Good to still feel such personality 

These days, it’s all far from normality 

  

Not to be sappy, but, for now, I’m truly, very happy
