Yay.  \n  \nA poem I wrote as a Fan of a DnD thing. Yet I find it's meaning universal in a way.","content":"My dear wife,  \nHow do I say what I want to say?  \nFor all the time we have been together,  \nNot a word can express the emotions I feel.  \nSo I’ll say it plainly…  \n  \nYour hair glows more brilliantly  \nThan the best-polished weapon,\n\nMore radiant than the sun\n\nThat beats upon the Delvarian Sands.  \n  \nThe way you cure ailments,\n\nYou are as a warrior on the battlefield.\n\nManeuvering around your herbs and bottles,\n\nWielding your salves like swords against sickness,\n\nYour gentle nature,  \nAs delicate as the plants in your garden,  \nBelie the strength of your beauty,\n\nWhich struck me harder than any spear thrust.  \n  \nYour kindness and patience,  \nThe capacity of which is deeper than\n\nAny hole I could toss my berserkers into,\n\nGave me hope when I thought there was none.  \n  \nAnd that hope, if it was ever lost,\n\nWould wound me more than any war injury.\n\nThat hope, which I fear to lose,\n\nGives me the strength to fight a thousand wars.  \n  \nYou made my chest beat again.","series":{"name":"Writings","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/2218069-city-made-beautiful-by-love.json"}}
