Wish me luck.","content":"When I met you, I couldn’t talk.  \nThe rampant machinations of my childish mind\n\nCeased in intrigue as you entered,  \nAwakening the city of my love like a dawning sun.  \n  \nYou said nothing,\u0026nbsp;\n\nSaw nothing,\n\nWere nothing,   \nTill we met…  \n  \nOr so I thought…  \n  \nNow, as the thin veil of mortality\u0026nbsp;\n\nBegins wrapping around me,  \nI fear the day you will leave me,\n\nBecause I know what will happen.  \n  \nThe electric fireflies that dance on the window sill, will just be lights.  \nThe traffic orchestra, playing such sweet melodies, will just be cars.  \nThe Streetside Gallery, stretching for blocks with its beauty, will just be scrawls.  \nThe serene atmosphere permeating our city will be hollow.  \n  \nNot even nature will be the same.\n\nThe gentle laughter of the rain, which wash away our sorrows, will be sorrowfully wet.  \nThe soothing summer wind, which raise our spirits, will be agitatingally cold.  \nThe curious water, which teaches us to be present, will dully come in and out.  \nThe wondrous sky, which opens our minds to all the possibilities, will be ordinarily boring.\n\n  \n\nThe warm setting sun,   \nHeralding in our cozy nights,\n\nWill be just a light, fading, fading, fading\n\nUshering the harsh oblivion of my loss.  \n  \nFor with you gone, I am nothing.","series":{"name":"Writings","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/2218064-letter-to-wife.json"}}
