Been writing a lot of poetry lately and hoping to be able to share some more of that soon! This one was written the other day while I was feeling wistful and Valentine's Day is a great time to post it.  
  
Big lizard feelings \<3

**Reptile at Heart**  
  
I'm a reptile at heart

I feel most at home&nbsp;

when I'm curled tightly

Around someone warm

  

And it's funny to me

That an act so simple

Can be so restorative

To my very being

  

Please linger with me here

Let my scales drink greedily

The warmth of gentle touch

The simplicity of your presence

  

Nourish my cold-blooded soul

With the sun-baked rock of your love
