It seemed destined, divinely ordained, to stand forever against the tide. But the turn of the millennium put a stop to the inertia of the Golden Crusade. And that began by shattering this one sure illusion that they all had.

The Cadians did not fail. Even as their planet broke beneath them, they did not break with it. Even with their homeland gone, the Cadians were still everywhere, fighting. Cadia itself might have failed.

But the Cadians have not.

And that was going to have to be enough.

After the fall of the Cadian Gates, the forces of Chaos poured forth into the galaxy like water entered a cup. With the fabric of reality creaking, and daemonic nightmares vanguarding before armies of heretics even made landfall, many worlds fell in instants. Fearing this fate, many planetary governors made the administrative decision to abandon their worlds. Leery of this tide, many worlds followed their leader's lead and joined them in huge immigratory fleets that made their way to safer shores and safer worlds.

But the fall of the Cadian Pylon made Warp travel more dangerous than it already was, and the outpour of old empyrean forces completed the disaster by chasing fleeing prey.

Everything might have been lost, would have been lost, had the Emperor not found it dignified to have one of his sons returned to the Imperium once more.

Acting as a counterweight to the end, Guilliman, that old legend reborn, collected and reforged the breaking Imperium and provided the safe lands and the safe lanes that everyone prayed for.

Pacts were renewed, forces reassembled. Orders were given, and an Empire reinforced. Guilliman was coming back and the Cadians? The Cadians would be on the front lines of it all.

But the people who sought asylum in the safe heavens under the Primarch’s rule turned out to pose problems of their own. For what did the Imperium do with all of these people in a time when it needed protectors rather than people to be protected? What could it do, when it needed strength to drive its renewal forward rather than weakness to drag it dead?

Lucky for all, the Imperium well knew how to turn problems…into assets.

Colonel Regina, previously a company Captain of the Cadian 5115th Regiment, arrived at the Theseus with nothing but servitors to carry all her personal and vital possessions. She arrived to a crew that, quite simply, seemed unsure of what to do with her.

Having been a mere Captain in her past Regiment, her recent promotion had filled her with both elation and misgivings in equal measure. Both were inferior, to her determination to succeed all the same. As it should be.

She was to help raise a new regiment from the survivors in a fleet fleeing from Joss’ Pearl, a now overrun world. The problem was compounded in that her promotion and summons had not allowed her to take any staff from her Regiment with her. She was supposed, as her writ outright commanded, to “manifest her own upon arrival.”

And THAT caused no small amount of consternation.

Essentially, it meant that, most likely, she was going to be assigned newly promoted random Imperial Guard personnel to her. Not the worst thing to have to work with, with everything said and done, but it would be a headache at the beginning when she had to measure and vett everyone’s skills and competencies. A hard labor, given that she had absolutely no idea what sort of refugees she was going to be training.

But then, when was soldiering easy?

The worst situation, however, was one she privately prayed she would not face: there was a tradition that turned PDFs, Planetary Defence Forces, into Imperial Guard regiments, by either reassigning their colonels into Guard Colonels…or simply assigning them Guard top brass. A single Imperial Guard Colonel could officially turn the rest of a PDF force into an Imperial Guard Regiment simply through their presence as far as the Administratum was concerned.

But that was PDFs, not refugees. The paper pushers, who knew nothing about making good soldiers except what they saw in a spreadsheet, might not care and expected her to have the same success. If she faced that, having to make lieutenants, captains and sergeants out of the almost literal dirt, well, she would do her duty to the Emperor as best she could…but she dearly hoped they could at least read, or this task was going to lay very heavily on her.

The men she saw as she entered the Theseus, however, gave her some hope. Oh, they weren’t particularly impressive specimens of humankind, as a whole, but they were well-fed, and were clearly skilled void mariners. The Theseus was a Vagabond Class, a transport ship, and so the worst wasn’t exactly incorrect to expect from it. At 2 kilometers long, with a crew of less than 20,000 people, just this small and humble ship had individuals that reflected well on its previous homeworld.

But appearances were deceiving and it would not do for a Colonel to allow her opinion to be swayed before she even met her troops.

“Captain,” she nodded to the nervous Chartist owner of the warp-capable vessel.

“Colonel?” he hesitated for a moment, then made to salute her.

“The Aquila is fine, Captain,” Regina informed him, not showing any of the amusement she was feeling inside, “You are not part of the imperial forces.”

And then someone coughed.

“That’s…not exactly right, ma’m,” the Captain informed her and pulled out the Administratum summons that conscripted him, and his whole ship, for use in the Imperial Navy.

The man she was speaking to was, indeed, the Captain of a Imperial Navy transport, not just the captain of a refugee ship.

Well then.

“Permission to come aboard, Captain?” this time, Regina DID salute and made the proper request.

“Granted, Colonel,” the man replied.

Then he hesitated once more, “I am under orders to go around the subsector collecting survivors from Joss’ Pearl to bring them to you, Colonel. I am to facilitate whatever you need in building your forces.”

“They are not all already here?” Regina frowned; why was she summoned before her forces were even mustered?

“We seem to have the biggest collection of them,” the Captain said.

“That’s good,” Regina relaxed a bit.

“All 200 of them,” the Captain confirmed.

And that made Regina stare at him as if she hadn’t heard right, “What?”

“Is that a wrong number?” the Captain frowned in turn. Since this was getting dangerously close to her complaining about the Imperial acquisitions to a stranger she just met, and an officer from a different branch to boot, she quickly amended herself.

“It is….a bit unusual,” Regina said, “But not altogether unprecedented.”

Regiments were usually forces composed of mechanized, cavalry, artillery and infantry components. These made the average among them be in the many thousands, at the least. Or in most cases, anyway.

There DID exist Regiments that were composed of less than 1,000 soldiers. Usually, they were simply repleted and waiting to be reinforced. But, sometimes, due to special circumstances like a particular way of making war, small numbers ended up being their “natural” existence.

“Oh, that’s right,” the Captain gestured towards one of his sub-officers to have Regina handed a scroll, “I was told to present you this.”

It was an order form.

There weren’t orders to deploy, thank the Emperor, but they were orders instructing her to effectively make her Regiment grow to a “normal” size; The Administratum wanted 5,000 soldiers by-

“There is no set date here,” Regina frowned at her order.

“Neither is there in mine,” the captain shrugged, “I figured they just wanted us prepared for when they needed us.

Regina hummed as she kept reading.

“The Forgeworlds in this Sector can only provide us with small arms and crew-sized weapons,” Regina pursed her lips. She was to command a light infantry-centric force then, “And the Theseus is to double as our training grounds as well as our transport.”

“Well,” the Captain said, “I guess I am welcoming you to your new home then, Colonel.”

“It appears so,” Regina rolled the scroll back up and put it in her coat, “As a gesture of appreciation, I will send the men to incorporate the emblems and symbols of the Theseus into our outfits.”

Grounding her regiment with a common history and cause would have to be at the top of her list, of course. The loss of Joss’ Pearl must be something that can be used to forge their conviction, but that world, as far as Regina could tell, did not have much notable military history. She said she was doing the Captain a favor, but she was in fact going to appropriate what success and feats the Chartist ancestors of the Captain had to make her work easier.

However much she wished, she could not just expect them to be Cadian.

But as she was making plans, a silence descended in the hallway of that ship as the Captain’s officers looked at them both with consternation.

And even the Captain was looking befuddled.

“What is the matter?” Regina asked.

“You don’t know?” the captain shot back.

“Nothing that merits that reaction,” Regina was quick to shoot back.

“Well, in that case,” the man invited her to walk deeper into the ship with a gesture of his arm, “it’s best that you see for yourself.”

* * *

Human beings plan and the Emperor laughs.

Regina recalled hearing that somewhere, even if the words edged at the precipice of being heretical. But it was nonetheless true: no human being could think or plan at the divine heights of their Throne-bound Lord, so wasn’t it obvious that their plans would ultimately go awry due to not being “pure” enough?

Regina could not tell when, or how, she lacked purity of purpose or hate to merit this, however.

Because her plans were all in shambles now.

In the deepest part of the ship, its bottom-most hold, emptied of all the cargo the Theseus would usually have, was a refugee camp. A primitive refugee camp.

That wasn’t really a problem; barbarian human beings could still be taught the skills and ways that allowed a modern army to wage war. The problem is that these weren’t JUST primitive barbarians.

They were Ogryns.

Regina had to make an educated command staff, out of nothing, with nothing BUT Ogryns.

But that apparently wasn’t enough, no.

Because every single subhuman in the “camp” was female.

She hadn’t even known female Ogryn existed!

What Regina’s orders did not say, and what she could not know, was that Joss’ Pearl was an Ogryn world. The males apparently stayed behind to give their female counterparts what room and time they could to escape the demonic onslaught. Why a single male didn’t come to protect them once they were in the ships, Regina did not know, but now she didn’t even rely on the expected brutish might of these primitive beings.

All she had were the mutants who usually never left their world so that a generation later the Imperium would have more Ogryn to recruit.

But the Cadian woman forced herself to take a deep breath.

Right, that wasn’t fair and, worse, it wasn’t helpful. Their true value obviously lay in being able to produce more Ogryn, yes. But that did not mean they could not make fine soldiers.

…or as fine as Ogryns could.

She hoped.

“OGRYNS!” Regina yelled, demanding-no- expecting them to all heed her, “PRESENT YOURSELVES!”

Regina had never met this lot, of course, but the right way to settle the relationship between a commander and their soldiers was to make it clear who was what and what was expected from each other. And, so, since she would command them she commanded them.

A lot of huge shapes and faces started coming out of their tents and Regina was struck, for the first time, not by how poor the prospects for her Regiment were.

But instead by how they looked.

At 37 years of age and 6 feet even of height, Regina was a tall mature woman herself. Good nutrition and good breeding made sure she would be. She possessed the tale-tell purple eyes that Cadians possessed, the only jewels that Cadia had ever needed. Those orbs sat large in her face, while her straight slim nose led into full pillowy lips. Two scars that had nearly taken her eyes marred her bushy eyebrows but, despite that, her high cheeks made sure that her facial features would do her world proud. Being known as a beauty wasn’t of worth to Regina, but letting people think that Cadians were beautiful was a source of pride to her.

Her shoulders were slim but muscled. A swordswoman musculature enveloped her whole body, actually, making for muscled thighs, abs and arms. Her breasts were generous enough, being E cups, but it was her wide hips and ass that marked her as a suitable partner for making yet more Cadians. It was a duty she would see to someday, of course, but her family had always had problems doing so due to a minor…mutation.

Because between her legs, above her fertile cunt, laid a pair of testicles next to a huge dick.

Four generations now marked the time when this appendage had first appeared and, due to its nature, it wasn’t exactly something people could easily overlook. All the same, generations of service and stable breeding marked Regina’s hermaphrodite features as a stable mutation and, therefore, something that could be allowed to exist. But it made finding fathers for their children a bit hard to come by.

The Ogryns, by comparison, looked like nothing she expected.

These brutish women, these unassuming sub-humans that populated many Imperial Worlds…were not ugly.

No, Regina would even go as far as to say that they were downright attractive, and she had never found a woman attractive before!

The only female Ogryns heading towards Regina that were below 8 feet of height were their young females, their children and their teenagers. Everyone else towered above. That at least she had expected.

But the faces that she saw had big and expressive eyes with, more often than not, luscious eyelashes and eyebrows. The chins that she saw were not the square rock-cut bases that all the Ogryn she had ever seen had but were rather delicate slim artifices that narrowed down to angles. Their noses weren’t comically large like a lot of male Ogryn had, but in their variety they were proportioned…like they would be a normal human.

They were clothed in homespun mats and bedsheets it seemed for how simple and primitive the cut of their clothes were. Rags were beginning to appear among them, an obvious result of having abandoned the plants and fabrics of their world. But neither of these hid the bodies that they had.

Their shoulders got large, yes, but not to the degree that male Ogryn’s got. And that made their tits, their huge soft-looking tits, stand out all the more.

Regina knew that Ogryn could weigh around a ton, but those orbs had to make up, at least, a quarter of that weight. But then maybe she was wrong because they were nothing compared to their hips and asses.

Nothing.

To say that they had the baggage storage of road-wheelers wouldn’t even be exaggerating. They were that massive. And the hips that they had made them look as though they were Admech machines on birthing chassis. There was honestly very little other way to put it.

These subhuman females appeared to be made for nothing except to bring more of their kind to the universe.

And it was doing things to the Cadian Colonel.

“Yes’m?” One of the Ogryn women piped, sounding on the low end of the standard human female auditory range.

Which just made her sound throaty and smoky.

“I am your Colonel from now on!” her military mind, thank the Emperor, still retained enough presence for her to make her speech known, “That means you are soldiers, you hear me? Warriors of the titperor-of the Emperor!”

But it seemed like her military mind had to deal with an invation of her libido. Damn it!

All the same, Regina had expected that her biggest problem with them would have been being understood; Ogryns were infamously mentally deficient.

But instead of the childish incomprehension that had figured in millennia-old tales, the Ogryn women looked at each other as if they seemed bothered by Regina’s words.

Could it be?

Could Regina really make herself fully understood?

“Us not warriors,” the Ogryn tried to growl but ended up pouting in a version of Low Gothic not TOO incomprehensible for Regina,

“As I said,” Regina beat her chest with one hand, “The Emperor made me your Colonel, so you must be.”

“Aaaah,” the irrefutable logic that Regina used all at once convinced them.

And then one of them asked, “What’be Colonel?”

“...it means that I tell you what to do,” Regina replied.

“Ah, why not say?” the Ogryns had the gall to look at her as if SHE were the slow one!

“Because,” Regina drew herself up, “A Colonel is what the person who tells others what to do in the Emperor’s Imperial Guard is called!”

The female gryns awwed. The female Ogryns oohed.

The female Ogryns congregated around Regina, towering over her, as they drank in this apparent divinely appointed leader.

And, in doing so, made Regina almost gag.

They reeked!

The smell of hundreds of women who had not taken a bath since they left their planet hit her all at once. Hormones, pheromones and biological markers were rendered down into the sort of produce that skin bacteria made when they feasted on the latter. It made Regina’s eyes water to the point that she put a hand up and screamed, “Alright, all of you, here is my first order.”

“GO TAKE SHOWER!”

The Ogryn all looked at each other again, before giving her a look of befuddlement, “With wat water?”

As it turns out, all 200 Ogryn in Regina’s Regiment hadn’t even drank any water since they escaped their planet. How they managed to survive for months without dehydrating…Regina would have Techpriest look over them later, to make sure that there wasn’t any long-term damage, but for the moment it was a problem easily remedied.

The holds of the Theseus didn’t really have showering units this far down in the ship. However, that wasn’t to say that there were no water lines going through it. After getting permission from the Captain, and tapping into a few meter-wide metal pipes, there were a bunch of giant subhuman ladies drinking and drenching themselves in field-made water closets.

After having them erect “showering tents” that were only slightly modified from Guard field specifications so that women this huge could use them, the Ogryn girls obediently waited for their turn to parch their thirst and clean themselves.

And all of this was done with far less fighting than Regina would have expected. But then, it was a thing to be grateful of.

However, since she was going to be killing with them in the future, she chose to make this into a bonding exercise and put away her commanding clothes.

Point in fact, she took everything off.

Naked as the day she was born, Regina walked through the tents of the bathing Ogryn, hoping that as many of them saw her and, in the coming days, start to see her as part of their units. Or would that be packs? Either way was fine.

And, indeed, that would normally have been good and fine.

Except.

Regina was so hard right then.

The more Regina walked through the tents, swinging and shaking with what she was born with, the more she saw of the Ogryn’s naked bodies.

With the water washing away their filth, all that was left was their natural scents. Scents that were, by no means, subtle.

The scent of randy vaginas hung on Regina’s nose as she started seeing that the Ogryns were noticing the extra length between her legs.

And it could just be her imagination, but she swore she could smell them get horny.

So, to her shame, her cock grew to its two full feet of length.

Such a monstrous male genitalia was the sole reason that explained why her mother and female ancestors had all chosen to be mothers instead of, perhaps, fathers; it may be that her mutation was only aesthetic for all that they had never sired children, but no woman would have been able to take their meat poles even had they tried.

But these subhuman women were not scared.

“Colonel hard,” what was probably the ugliest Ogryn of the whole lot said once Regina entered her tent.

This was an Ogryn woman who was actually a bit fat, with a big nose and teeth coming out of her bottom lips. Compared to a male Ogryn she was still a beauty, of course, but she would normally not win any contests otherwise.

But the way she smelled…

“Wam take that,” the ugly Ogryn smiled wide, showing sharp teeth, as she bent over at the waist.

She reached back to her huge ass and grabbed it with her wide hands.

And then she spread it WIDE.

All so that Regina could see her puckered asshole and drooling vagina.

This was grounds for a leashing if not an outright beating. Sexual advances happened between soldiers all the time, of course, but made this public and this crudely? It was even grounds for execution.

But Regina was behind Wam in a second, putting her hands on top of the Ogryn’s as her body moved in autopilot. The heat coming from her holes was moist and made Regina shivered as the Cadian put a glans the size of a rock against the Ogryn’s cunt.

And made the subhuman pussy swallow it.

“Woman Colonel have biggerest COCK!” the ugly Ogryn moaned as Regina pushed against the flaming depths of this female-no-this breeding bitch in front of her. Her mushroom cockhead scraped against those depths, making Ogryn's vaginal canal be forced to accept her.

She thrust until the widest portion of her cock, being the size of her shoulder, briefly stopped at the drooling pussy of this huge woman.

But no Cadian had ever gotten anything done by letting obstacles stop them.

“Take my cock you ugly bint!” Regina moaned as she pulled into the woman, making her cock slowly slide in.

“COCK!” Wam moaned and revealed an evolutional regression of her line, for she sounded more like an animal than a human at that moment and made Regina want to fuck her all the harder.

Regina’s cock started to slim down when it got to her base, of course, which meant that her dick started to easily slide in again. But that moment of continued bliss was brief; her glans hit the chunky cervix of the monstrous girl.

“I gave you an order, Private!” Regina growled as she pulled her cock back through the tunnel she had just widened. All so that she could ram it in with ALL of her strength, “I told you to take my cock in, you disobedient bitch!”

Regina’s futanari cock crashed against that chunky cervix and the feeling of making it stretch made Regina feel as though she was going to go insane.

“CoooooCK!” the fat Ogryn moaned as if Regina were actively making her as dumb as the old tales of the Ogryn said they were.

So Regina slammed into her again, making the Ogryn cervix oblong.

She crashed into it again, making it stretch like a tube.

Regina crashed into it AGAIN, making it open slightly for Regina, until, with a victorious feeling, she entered the subhuman womb.

“YES!” Regina screamed as her testicles clenched, her sperm cells flaying into her prostate and being shot up into her dick, “This is the fate of all improper, hmmm, sows who dare proposition their superiors to illicit sex!”

Regina felt her semen splash and spread into the uterus of the Ogryn woman she was breeding. She felt that baby making organ bloat and enlarge from the pressure of holding the deluge of sperm that Regina was injecting it with. The Cadian Colonel outright HEARD the rushing sound of her fertilizing agents pumping into Wam in bursts.

“COOOOCK!” Regina made the Ogryn shake and scream as Regina FORCED her to orgasm. The huge woman dropped to her knees as Regina kept pumping her sperm cells inside of her, the daring girl only shaking as the last of Regina’s bursts filled her womb to overflowing.

And, finally, Regina collapsed on top of her ass.

The smell, this close, was so pleasantly fertile that the human futa woman briefly entertained fantasies of impregnating her with her spawn. But, of course, it was only fantasies to Regina, as she wasn’t even sure if she could.

The sperm and ovum that were in Wam’s womb, however, did not deal in “maybes” or “fantasies”. The two halves of DNA immediately met together and, despite the relative distance in their genome, combined. Regina’s Cadian futa genes turned Wam’s Ogryn genes that much more human.

And that much more Cadian.

A baby began growing inside of the ugliest among the Ogryn females.

Getting the energy to pull out of Wam wasn’t easy for Regina but, with a wet “squelch”, she managed to detach herself from the surprisingly fainted woman.

It was only then, with her cock wet with pussy juices and spent sperm, that Regina noticed ALL the Ogryn looking at her.

And the look in their eyes was not one troops should have for their captain.

Then Regina recalled the words she had said while in the middle of passion and realized something.

She was fucked.
