But I carry them like bruises that never heal.\n\nSome nights I wake up and I’m not even sure what’s me anymore — just scraps of someone else’s grief sewn into my chest.\n\n  \n\nThey all want something.\n\nPeace. Healing.\n\nA light I barely have anymore.\n\n  \n\nAnd I try. I always try. Even when I’m falling apart in ways I can’t explain.\n\n  \n\nBut you’re still here, Loomi.\n\n  \n\nYou don’t speak in the waking world.\n\nYou just hum — soft, like you’re reminding me I’m not gone yet.\n\n  \n\nIt always starts in my chest. Just a warmth.\n\nNot enough to fix it… but enough to make me stay.\n\n  \n\nI know no one else can feel you.\n\nSometimes I think maybe I’m not supposed to either.\n\n  \n\nBut when everything’s too loud, too heavy,\n\nwhen I start to slip under again…\n\n  \n\nYou hum.\n\n  \n\nAnd I remember I’m still here.\n\n  \n\nSo I keep going. For them. For the ones who still dream.\n\nFor you.\n\n  \n\nAnd if I break again…\n\nPlease, Loomi…\n\n  \n\nJust hum a little louder.","series":{"name":"The Sleepwalker’s Lantern","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/2240305-the-sleepwalkers-lantern-the-weight-between-worlds.json"}}
