Y. Koslov. _I am DONE letting you play with my feelings!_ \" She declares angrily, and jabs a shaking, chipped-nail finger at you.\n\nInspector Goll's usual, overly preened appearance is in shambles, and it doesn't take much to imagine why. Her red uniform is stained with mud and slush on the hem and knees, her hair is uncovered and messy from the night winds, and she's damp with sweat from the long climb up the air traffic control tower.\n\nWhen next she speaks it's with the anguished, apoplectic voice of a hard working anthro who's just come home to find her husband _in flagrante delicto_ with the milkmare.\n\n\"I have done _everything_ in my power to make you feel safe, and valued, and _validated_ as your guardian and friend, and how have I been repaid?! _With scorn and humiliation!_ I had to be reminded in front of EVERYONE on base that _my human_ is running around like a feral tomgirl with unmarried women, playing dress-up in a woman's uniform, and avoiding me in public! WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF, PAVEL?!\"\n\nYou leap out of bed and gun for the stairwell, but Doreen preempts you by slamming the door shut and striking a wide, imposing stance across your only way out.\n\nSpit flies everywhere as Doreen's angry shouting gradually turns to full on screaming. \"Oh, so that's how this is going to be, huh? You're just going to be selfish and ignore what _I want_ again? Just _throw_ my feelings into the gutter where the rest of these bumpkins came from? _Is that what you're doing,_ **_Pavel_** _?!\"_\n\nDoreen starts stamping her hooves petulantly on the floor to emphasize certain words. “I came here to RESCUE you from that woman, Pavel! I climbed your stupid Rapunzel tower so we could **talk,** and fix _us_ before we spend the rest of our lives together, and you're trying to run away from your feelings **AGAIN**!\"\n\nDoreen wobbles unsteadily and stumbles on her own hooves, then covers her mouth sickeningly as if ready to vomit. It's all so very pathetic and irritating, and you find yourself getting mad despite your better judgement.\n\nAfter all the bullshit you've suffered because of this woman's negligence, including partial responsibility for the _death of your mother,_ you'd love nothing more than to get on this animal's level and start shouting back.\n\nExcept Mama was smarter than other women and taught you better than that. It doesn't take an anthro to smell that Goll is deep in her cups, and ready to scream herself hoarse until the cows come home.\n\nOr the cow gets to cum, as it were. Her shirt is still unbuttoned.\n\nStall for time. Help is coming.\u0026nbsp;\n\nBe strong like Lotte.\n\nTaking a page from your wife's book, you stand up straight, put on a neutral frown, fix Doreen in place with your eyes, and cross your arms dismissively.\n\n\"You're drunk Inspector Goll, and it's past lights out. If you have any complaints about me, the performance of my duties, or what I choose to do during leave hours, you can bring them up with Major Roe or have me given an Article 15. This is behavior unbecoming of your station–\"\n\nDoreen's shoulders slump and the middle aged cow hunches over with a sad, petulant pout on her face. “Pavel you're hurting me, and all I'm doing is trying to have an adult conversation with you. If you'd just stop playing toy-soldier–\"\n\n\" _--behavior unbecoming of your station,_ and I will be reporting this attempt at seduction and fraternization. You need to leave immediately.\"\n\n\"-- for _five minutes_ and let me talk, you'd see that you're not in any danger anymore! I'm trying to _rescue_ you!\"\n\nYou roll your eyes, and Goll whines frustratedly.\n\n\" _Tch!_ I'm just fine Inspector, and even if I were dying I wouldn't want to be rescued by you. Major Obmeyer is twice the woman you are.\"\n\nThe cow moans derisively, laughs bitterly, and sprays spittle everywhere while doing both.\n\n\"Just stop it, Pavel! Let me help you _for once_ in all the time we've shared together. She doesn't love you like I do, and she's not even around to scare you into pretending you do! Your family is–\"\n\nDoreen forces back an exaggerated sob, and reaches for an embroidered handkerchief in her front pocket to wipe up an invisible stream of crocodile tears. \"I told myself I was going to be at my best when I told you this, but that little _homewrecker_ is trying to keep us apart, and is hiding things to make it _seem_ like I broke my love-promise!\"\n\n\"You're delusional.\" You say, and Goll ignores you yet again.\n\n\"The truth, what she doesn't want you to know, i-ss that I've almost got your family free!\" She says unconvincingly.\u0026nbsp;\n\n“Just a few more weeks, Pavi. I…I was trying to tell you earlier t-that Lotte's been threatening me. She doesn't want them alive, and I've been waiting to find them a place to hide first!\" She announces melodramatically.\n\nYour muscles tense up, and you almost hear the irate grinding of your teeth as the animal speaks. She must think you really are that much of a clueless child if she expects you to fall for that.\n\nYou muster up as much cold hate as you can manage when you finally reply.\n\n\"_So it's your fault my mother died in prison?\"_\n\n...\n\nGod, that felt so satisfying to say.\n\nInspector Goll finally shuts up for once and slumps against the door to freedom. Real tears fall this time, while a steady stream of snot and her own hands smear homemade makeup all over her face.\n\nYou take the opportunity to start looking for an improvised weapon. There's no way you could win a straight fight against her.\n\nAn old fire extinguisher sits in a metal box on the wall, some distance to Doreen's right.\n\nA piece of broken glass shines at you from atop the console near your things.\n\nThat one's your best bet.\n\nKeep her talking, keep her off balance, and keep stalling for time!\n\n\u0026nbsp;Lotte is coming, you know her.\n\nShe has to be.\n\nThe crying goes on for a little while longer before Inspector Goll perks up again.\n\n\"O-Okay. I get it now.\" She says, standing up. “I… I haven't been engaging with your passions, and should have been more supportive of your career goals. That must've felt so invalidating, and I'm sorry.\"\n\nAll at once Doreen seems to banish the sorrow from her face, replacing it with a stained, coquettish smile and batting eyelashes.\n\n\"I-I had been hurting from what you said to me earlier, a-and there was a bit of drinking involved, and I figured it was time to give the Official Handbook's way of doing things a try. I was trying to help us, Pavel. It's not my fault.\"\n\n\"Oh, is that right?\" You spit acidly. “I suppose Lotte forced shots down your throat and used _Deitsch_ magic to turn everything you say into lies.\"\n\nGoll is advancing on you with a sway in her hips and a spine chilling shine in her eyes.\n\n\"I blame myself for this, really. I should have known my little human needed me sooner and come as fast as I could.~ After all, you're a special little man who's used to having a big, strong **w**** oman** in his life, and you don't know what to do without one.\"\n\n\\\u003eYour back away fearfully, double check that your belt is fastened, and prepare to go for the glass on the console.\n\nGoll's hands meet in the middle of her button up shirt, strikes a dramatic pose, and rips her arms back to free two massive bovine breasts like an Old-World pinup model. \"Don't you fret though, Pavel.~ **Mama's here now** , and she knows just what you need to feel good again.~\"\u0026nbsp;\n\nEverything goes red.\n\n\"HOW DARE YOU!\" You shout, and hurl your improvised weapon at Doreen's heart.\n\nA bright red streak of pain slashes its way across the cow's left udder, but fails to kill her. Inspector Goll doubles over to shriek agony, and you finally get a chance to dive for the door.\n\nYou've pried it open barely an inch before the animal rallies and slam the door shut on your fingers.\n\nBones break and pain explodes out from your hands, but then things only get worse.\n\nGoll throws you to the ground with one hand while frantically trying to stop the bleeding with another. When that fails, she settles for shouting like a maniac and battering you with a closed fist.\n\nEven with one of her hands indisposed you stand no chance of fighting back against Doreen. An anthro is still an anthro, and by the time she's done beating you the right side of your body has been covered in ugly purple welts. The only place she spares is your face.\n\n\"I should have shredded that lout's marriage certificate the moment she brought you home. Instead I ignored my second sense and let that albino freak poison you against me!\" Goll pants angrily, and hauls you forcefully onto unstable feet.\n\nA fist to the gut knocks the wind out of you when you try to cry for help, and she throws you over her shoulders like a limp sack of flour.\n\nThe pain across your body is excruciating, though most intensely from your crushed left hand. You can barely breathe over her shoulder like this, no longer even able to cry for help.\n\nA glimmer of hope ignites in your heart. You hear the sound of measured footsteps coming up the stairs.\n\nDoreen throws the door open and takes a few nervous steps downward.\n\nSomeone brown and familiar in an oversized green helmet gapes at you from one of the lower landings.\n\nSSGT Beckett Beckett drops the tray of food in her hands. She must've heard the news from earlier, and decided to do something nice for you.\n\n\"Pavel?!\" She shouts fearfully.\n\nDoreen snorts like an angry bull at the little bunny, and draws her sidearm. “Walk away you stupid little COCKROACH!\"\n\nThe little bunny sneers back at Goll, draws her combat knife, and dashes up the stairs like a woman possessed.\n\nDoreen takes aim and fires as Beckett rounds the first landing, but her shot goes wide and ricochets off the handrail.\n\n\"Can't you see we're in love?!\" she shrieks, and fires her pistol a second time.\n\nBB dodges the second shot by some miracle, and screams a bloody warcry when she rounds the final landing and charges up the final stretch of stairs.\u0026nbsp;\n\n“I WON'T LET YOU TAKE HIM!\"\n\nInspector Goll flinches with barely 15 feet between them, and fires wildly.\n\nThough it was a valiant effort, Beckett never stood a chance.\n\nBullet #3 nails her in the head and throws her backwards, tumbling down the stairs and finally crashing to a halt on the landing below.\n\nBlood drips from her head four stories to the ground.\n\n\"Well isn't this just perfect?! How am I supposed to make _that_ go away?\" Doreen wails self-pityingly, and gives your best friend's motionless body a spiteful stomp as she passes.\n\n\"That was your fault, Pavel. You could have just given me a chance, and I wouldn't have had to do it. That's three lives you've pointlessly ruined!\"\n\nNo. If anything it's more than that. This all started when you dared to resist the State to complete some certificate.\n\nBeckett\n\nMama\n\nYour sisters\n\nEven Lotte… _Gospodi pomiluj,_ she's going to be devastated when she finds out you're missing.\n\nIt's all your fault.\n\nGoll ignores your silent tears as she carries you off into the night.","series":{"name":"CPT Obmeyer","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/2248000-cpt-obmeyer-ch-14.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/2248005-cpt-obmeyer-ch-16.json"}}
