Anyway I had intended this poem for Day 25 the Lesser Grison prompt and since I finished this the other day I figured I had nothing to lose by sharing it. The lesser grison is a pretty interesting animal I might write one into some future story or something.
Lesser In No Ways But One

                                                                By: A.X. Bueno

The lesser grison is a creature slender and small

Not as big as it's family like the honey badger or greater grison

Despite the name and small size though it still stands tall

With a distinctive look that makes it hard to mischristen

Assuming of course that you know that it exists

After all it comes from a large family where others tend to grab the attention

But it's as much a mustelid as any other and it hunts and persists

Yet it somewhat defies comprehension

Yes it has the long, slender body, short legs and a signature white stripe

It's got a habitat that extends through South America high and low

From sea level to grasslands to high mountain meadows there's no one type

Of habitat these gray, black and white furred mysteries have as homes

That we know

But this makes them kind of hard to track and understand

With webbed paws places near water is generally where this creature roams

And with all these features it doesn't feel the need to be too grand

It's a creature that's smaller than many but still hunts small rodents and reptiles and all well

And they can be kind of social and also hunt prey bigger than them too

Sadly it's a mustelid for which there both is and isn't a whole lot to tell

It lives in almost half of South America on its own or with family like a small crew

They're also fierce and play with prey and create burrows where they dwell

Sure they're smaller than their greater sized cousins but look at all they do

And there's plenty we could still observe and learn about them

Yes they're described as lesser because of their size but truly lesser than who
      "}
