How much will you allow yourself to disconnect in order to remember?

A piece about disassociating the mind from body in thoughts about someone or something, trapped in time.

I will move away and you’ll continue to live in the past, presently

You’ll be reminded of me, a sound, a taste,

                                        \_\_\_a fleeting memory

As much as I will meet new people, routinely grasping the same feelings; as much as you will

I’ll string along connections, drops in a thirst

               Undefined hopes

continue to entertain you, not that it’s personal requirement for living

because I know that, while physically speaking\_\_apart

Mentally speaking, we share rooms together.

                                        Antagonistic desires, I live as

                            \_\_a VPN.
