My shadow

Sometimes I think it is the only thing seen

I have no proof of existence except the air I breathe

It haunts me to know this but it makes since

How can I go unnoticed

 I am here aren't I

 

As I do my tasks

No one looks my way

That is to say

I'm almost invisible

It is unbearable

But I sit here

I talk

But no one listens

As if I'm a shadow

 

My shadow of my former self

Runs my life and all I do is sit

And scream out to see if anyone hears me

But it hurts to be alone

With no one there
