 **Fire and Shadow**

The Fire in your Heart

Or the Shadow in your Soul,

The choice of which remains unknown.

 

Those who believe in,

But can not see,

The mind is not a place,

For rationality.

 

Reality invades;

Fiction begins to unfold.

This life truly begins,

This pain is untold.

 

Fire in your Heart,

Will take you deep,

To those places

Where you desparately want to be.

 

The Shadow in your Soul,

Will let you hide,

What may not seem important,

But what is also truly required.

 

The Fire in your Heart,

Or the Shadow in your Soul.

 

Inclined to fight the other,

But neither will ever prevail.

Will you let them battle?

Or will you harmonize them?

 

A question of the ages,

And one that does impair

The minds of the weak,

And the hearts of the brave.

 

Fight for what you know,

Show them both truth.

Both will help,

In the journey's to come.

 

Fire in your Heart,

Shadow in your Soul.

One and together,

May they last forever.
