It wasn't easy to sneak out of the apartment without alarming my parents. They would never allow their pup to venture into the woods at night. If only they understood why though. Heh.

I lied that I would be staying over at my best friend's place. They weren't hard to convince. After all, Jo has pretty much earned their trust after several incidents. He is a cool, protective but gentle wolf. And really cute, too. I won't go into details now, it will take _days_ to finish. So today I went out with Jo (really!), had some fun as usual, and bade farewell before began my little adventure into the woods, instead of returning home.

Panting slightly, I paddled through the forest. It isn't dense; at least I can see the dazzling stars above me. Sight is not a problem too, the stardust that lay idly on the ground is glowing such that it gives you enough light to see the whole of your footpaws.

Glancing around, I checked and hoped that no one had followed me. I can't help but feel that someone is watching me. Or maybe I am just plain paranoid. It can't be helped. This is a secret I found out not long ago.

I am _so_ addicted to it. I just can't get enough of it. Can't wait to get there. Now.

Licking my lips, I quickened my steps up the slope.

_Almost there now._ All that's waiting for me on top of this hill is worth the secrecy.

I broke into a run and eventually reached my destination.

It never gets old.

I closed my eyes out of reflex as my blue fur was hit by the cool and refreshing wind. The dry grasses in the clearing swayed lazily along with the wind, producing a relaxing, rustling rhythm.

Taking a deep breath, I opened my eyes and was rewarded with a magnificent sight.

Among the winds on top of the hill, I was enthralled by the moon that is shining brilliantly at me.

The close proximity between this world and moon made it look like an enlarged lunar sunset.

It is literally breath taking as my eyes are being glued to the moon. The mass amount of stars that is blinking in the background compliments the ethereal lunar glow.

A glow so bright that even the grass _looked_ like it was emitting light on its own.

Gathering myself from the hypnotic view, I walked further down to rest. Picking a gentle side of the slope, I lay down on the fluffy dry grass that feels like one being immersed in a pool of cushions and pillows.

I faced the moon and continued to let my eyes and mind feast upon the sight.

_Oh, the joy!
_

At that moment, I felt an inner, primal self murr in exhilaration.

Wolf or not, there is just an irresistible urge to express such a feeling.

Taking a deep breath, I let out a loud and jovial howl of satisfaction.

Immediately after my long wolfish howl, my sensitive ears picked up similar calls from the surroundings. Evolved or not, I am not alone.

"So you've been coming here all these while?"

Slowly, I turned towards the source of the sound.

Jo stood right there, his muscular frame towered me. His grey fur shimmered fervently under the lunar light.

Grinning madly, I am so moon-drunk that I can't even come up with a coherent response, much less being surprised by his presence.

Watching the moon with my mate...

It's just plain _awesomeness._

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"}
