# Real Alchemy

REAL ALCHEMY  
  
&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Alchemy, the power to convert one thing into another by breaking the item down into it's most basic of elements and reconstruct it as something else.&nbsp; An early, unscientific form of chemistry that sought to change base metals into gold and discover a life-prolonging elixir, a universal cure for disease, and a universal solvent alkahest by the dictionary definition.&nbsp; The process was very popular back in the medieval days.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;The only problem is the days of Alchemy have long since past.&nbsp; From what I believe, the days of Alchemy were used back in the 16 to 1700 when it was most used.&nbsp; Not much is known about Alchemy in the old days, other than it slowly started to become less and less used as real science took it's place.&nbsp; Eventually Alchemy was stopped altogether and passed into folklore, then into legend.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;I was fascinated with it.&nbsp; The power to break down one thing then reconstruct it as something else.&nbsp; Buying every book I could find about the subject, but even with the few books that had some actual truth about the subject, it was usually in small amounts.&nbsp; Throughout the years I compiled the information about Alchemy and I found out a little about how they did it back in the day.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Though I did find out the first part of the Alchemy process was easy to understand.&nbsp; Knowing the makeup of the thing that your working with.&nbsp; The second part was to brake the item down and I had no way of knowing how to do that.&nbsp; The third part was to reconstruct the broken down item into something else.&nbsp; It was just like writing a story and coming to a writers block.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Only in this case it was an Alchemy block.&nbsp; Many times I thought about giving it all up, but then something in a new book or a flash of inspiration would put me back onto the track of breaking the second part of the process.&nbsp; As well as my parents telling me to find something better to do with my time and living.&nbsp; Then without warning as I was going to school one day, my science teacher taught us about the different reactions certain chemicals have with other chemicals.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;It was like a spark of inspiration by god himself.&nbsp; After waiting until class let out, I started hounding my teacher about what he was teaching us.&nbsp; Over the next few weeks he brought me as much information about that subject.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;"Finally a breakthrough."&nbsp; I said in excitement.&nbsp; As my teacher handed over another few books about the subject of chemicals breaking down other chemicals.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;"Are you still going on about Alchemy?"&nbsp; He asked me once I had all the books stuffed into my pack.&nbsp; Turning to look at him he started to laugh with his hands on his sides.&nbsp; "So are you any closer to finally understanding Alchemy?"&nbsp; He asked after he was done laughing.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;"Just like I said.&nbsp; With this information, you've helped me to finally understand and work out the second step of the Alchemy process.&nbsp; Maybe even the third as well." This seemed to take him back as his eyes went wide with shock.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;"You mean that your serious about this?"&nbsp; Quickly zipping up my pack and slinging my pack over my back, I turned to him and gave him a thumbs up.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;"You got that right.&nbsp; And yes I am serious about what I said.&nbsp; With this information and the proper items, I think I will be able to finally be able to do real Alchemy."
