# A Furry Love Story - Question of Fate

So, I was introduced on the stage and asked to sit down in a chair.  I was hoping to do a rowsing speech, but instead I was asked to sit down and do an interview.  I was quite relieved to hear this, but I was still very nervous at the time.  This is quite different from CNN.  You don't see the viewers on CNN.  All you see is a camera. Also, unlike on CNN, I was being asked about rather personal things.  This reminded me of my job at Menard's.  Though I can't remember everything, I do remember some of the more important questions I was asked.  They seemed pretty amused.  
  
Why did you decide to visit FuzzyCon?  
**Henry:** I got an e-mail by MariaKitsune, and because it was close by in Minnesota I just thought I'd stop by, ya know?  
How long have you known of the furry fandom?  
**Henry:** Since Maria Kitsune e-mailed me in February.  
Do you consider yourself to be a figurehead in this fandom?  
**Henry:** How can I be the figurehead of something I hardly knew even existed?  
Do any adjustments need to be made to your diet?  
**Henry:** I can't eat chocolate and most fruits.  
Do you have sweat glands?  
**Henry:** I take cold baths during the summer and take this everywhere during the summer to avoid getting heat stroke.

  I picked up my spray bottle and showed it to everybody.  
  
Do you think there are going to be more people like you?  
**Henry:** I don't know.  
Would you mind if there were?  
**Henry:** It depends.  I would support equality for such individuals, though.
Do you age faster than normal or just the same?

**Henry:** I have no idea, and neither does the university.  I'll just have to wait and see.  
Can you produce sperm, and could they produce offspring?   
**Henry:** I--I don't know.    
  
It took me awhile to learn that, in this fandom, questions like this are considered normal.  
  
Do you consider the people that raised you to be your family?  
**Henry:** No.  
  
It was very difficult to hold in my tears after I said that.  The con chair, a pudgy Hispanic woman with red hair, walked up to me and handed me a magic 8-ball.  
  
**Maria:** Do you have any words of wisdom for us?  
**Henry:** There is no such thing as normal.

**Maria:** Do you have a question for the magic 8-ball?  There are no do-overs.

 

I thought long and hard, and decided to ask about all I've wanted, something I've cared deeply about all of my life.

 

**Henry:** Will I ever find true love?

  
I shook the ball for almost a minute, almost scared to look at what it was going to say.  Someone in the audience shouted "Get on with it!"  I flipped it over.
