The first time a weapon of this devastation had been used in over a century. Sirens blaring, if only for a moment before being destroyed. Within minutes war was declared.  \n  \nThe tension between the now independent nation of Lupinus, and the United States had been growing for years after Lupinus successfully Seceded from the US, taking nearly half of the former state of Alaska with it. There were several attempts to reclaim it, but all met with failure. Lupinus was prepared for all of\u0026nbsp; the Americans vain attempts to retake it. Pathetic humans.\n\n\u0026nbsp; As was Lupinus prepared for this.  \n  \nLupinus was founded by a human, in an attempt to separate himself from the disgust he felt at the species he was born into. Years of work, Thousands of tests, all to alter his genetic information to make him something more, something elegant, something beautiful, something better.  \n  \nHe created the Lupine species, in all of its perfection, and in their foolishness, humans admired his achievement. They were wrong in doing so.  \n  \n  \n  \nBoom.  \n  \n  \n  \nAnother explosion, an entire city destroyed.  \n  \nThe humans will not be mourned.  \n  \n  \nSeveral more explosions echo through the sky, crushing the hopes of all survivors. Yet there was still no surrender. Lupinus had begun it's invasion of America. Secret nuclear warheads planted all over the nation. One detonating every fifteen minutes. America was running out of time.  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;February 29th, 2057  \n  \nAnd in less than two days after it started, it was over. Over half of America had been doused in atomic hellfire, killing well over one hundred fifty million.  \n  \nThey were human.  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp; They will not be mourned.  \n  \nThe call came early in the morning, the President of the United States had formally surrendered to the Lupine threat.  \n  \nAs was expected, there was no other option.  \n  \nAt the capitol building in D.C. Emperor Armour personally planted the Lupine flag to proudly fly over the city.  \n  \nBut this was only the beginning.  \n  \nThere were still many things to do.  \n  \n\u0026nbsp;  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Superiority","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/260386-superiority-chapter-1.json"}}
