Standard Match:&nbsp;&nbsp;A hand-to-hand fight on a square stone platform.&nbsp;&nbsp;Victory comes by ring-out (knocking the opponent off the platform), knock-out (rendering the foe unable to continue fighting by unconsciousness), or submission (forcing the opponent to admit defeat).&nbsp;&nbsp;Combat has no rules otherwise, but dishonorable combat is frowned upon.  
  
Last Man Standing:&nbsp;&nbsp;Victory can only come by knock-out.&nbsp;&nbsp;  
  
Submission:&nbsp;&nbsp;Victory can only come through forcing your opponent to submit.  
  
Ring-out or Sumo: Victory can only come through ring-out.  
  
3 Knockdown: First fighter to be knocked off their feet onto the ground three times loses.  
  
Pole Match: Fighters fight, balancing on raised bamboo poles.&nbsp;&nbsp;Victory comes by knockdown (opponent touches ground) or KO.  
  
Cage Match: The ring is surrounded in a steel cage, which fighters can pin their opponents against.&nbsp;&nbsp;Victory through KO or Submission.  
  
Fire Match:&nbsp;&nbsp;Ring is surrounded by flames.&nbsp;&nbsp;Because of the heat, Pokemon weak to Fire might be at a disadvantage.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ring-outs are dangerous in this match.  
  

&nbsp; Ice Match:&nbsp;&nbsp;Ring is covered in a thick, near frictionless sheet of ice.&nbsp;&nbsp;Pokemon weak to Ice might be at disadvantage.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ring-outs are easy.  
  
Lightning Match:&nbsp;&nbsp;Ring is surrounded by several lightning rods which discharge randomly.&nbsp;&nbsp;Pokemon weak to Lightning might be at disadvantage.  
  
Random Match:&nbsp;&nbsp;A standard match with randomized elements, like flames, raising or lowering platforms, poles, lightning rods, etc...&nbsp;&nbsp;Elements in match may change at random, making competitors adapt to the new conditions.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Considered one of the hardest matches.
