**Aimless Fate: Chapter 3**

The group approached Underworld's front door. As usual, the building was lit up by purple lights flashing into the night. A line stretched back a good bit, filled with impatient furs ready to get in. Michelle led them towards the bouncer that Stray had met the night before. Stepping up to him, she smiled. "Hello, Dom."

"Ms. Michelle," he responded, nodding at her.

"My friends and I are here to have a good time. May we enter?"

"Of course," the Doberman smiled, allowing the friends to enter. Jacob exchanged a fist-bump with the canine as he passed.

"I love getting V.I.P. treatment because I work here." The husky, beamed. "Now, let's get some drinks." The music hit Stray as soon as he entered the nightclub. It was amazing. The building had three levels, with a huge floor in the center. Furs crowded the center floor, dancing. Bright lights flashed everywhere. The electricity was contagious. Stray felt the music, literally, pulse through him. He needed this. Tonight, he was letting go. He was not going to be sad. He was not going to be angry. He wasn't going to be anything. He had come here for one reason, and one reason only- to drink and dance his ass off.

"Why don't you find us a table, dear?" Michelle asked Jacob. The shepherd gave her a thumbs- up and grabbed Stray. The two went up the stairs to the second level. They found an open table near the railing. A German shepherd and husky were in a booth nearby. "Cyd, would you like to dance?" Stray overheard the husky ask his partner. Smiling, the German shepherd stood,

"Of course, Nate. Lead the way, hun." As the couple passed, Jacob noticed the husky's long tail.

"You see how long that husky's tail was?" Jacob asked as he took a seat. "It was long enough for two!" Stray sat down, observing the dance floor. It was a good night; the DJ had the entire club energized. The canine found his foot stomping and his tail swishing to the beat. All three of Underworld's levels were full, furs crowding everywhere. Lights were hung everywhere, covering the inside of the building with electric glows. The pounding music made it difficult to talk. Stray had to almost yell at Jacob to be heard, even though they were sitting across from each other.

Leaning closer to Jacob, he shouted, "How do you know that bouncer?"

The shepherd smiled, "He broke his arm in a scuffle one night. Michelle told him to come see me; that she would set everything up. She called me, told me she had sent him, and what had happened. We talked as I patched him up. He's pretty cool when you get to know him.

     "Interesting."

     "Yeah, he's pretty cool."

"Who is?" Michelle asked, returning with three glassed full with a glowing blue liquid.

"Dom," Jacob replied, grabbing a drink. Michelle took a seat next to him, putting her arm around his shoulder. "Now," the shepherd said looking at them, "we drink to your friend's memory."

"To Mike." Stray said, holding his glass up.

"To Mike!" All three said, downing their drinks. The drink was smooth, strong, with a hint of fruit. It burned pleasantly on the way down. Stray shook his head violently. He felt better already.

"Michelle! I thought I saw you here!" A voice called out. All three canines looked for the source. Michelle's ears perked up, and she jumped out of her seat. Running, she grabbed a nearby vixen, hugging her.

"Sam! It's a surprise seeing you here!"

"Yeah, you too! Aren't you supposed to be working?"

Michelle rubbed her head sheepishly. "Well, we had a friend pass away the other night and we're celebrating his memory. I took a few days off."

Sam's ears stood up, and her eyes went wide. "Oh! I'm so sorry, sweetie! If there's anything you need, I'm here."

The husky patted her friend on the shoulder. "I know, dear. Thanks." She walked the vixen over to their table. "You know Jacob, but this is Stray, my old friend." Michelle nodded at Stray.

"Oh, the one you grew up with. Yeah, I remember you telling me about him. You didn't tell me he was so cute!" Sam looked at Stray with a smile. The mutt smiled back, blushing, taking in the vixen's body. She was pretty. Stray liked how her blue jeans hugged her slender legs, and really liked her tight shirt. Multiple glow bracelets and necklaces adorned her body. The glowing jewelry only pulled Stray's eyes toward the cute vixen. He watched as her tail swished playfully behind her.

"Here, sit with us." Michelle offered her friend a seat beside Stray. "Need a drink?"

"Of course!" Sam said, sticking her tongue out at her friend. Standing up, the husky went to get her something. Sitting beside Stray, Sam looked at the canine. He looked back, noticing her playful smile and bright eyes. A strand of purple hair fell beside her eyes, standing out from the rest of her red hair. He tried not to stare, but he couldn't help it. The vixen was cute, and he kind of liked her.

"I'm sorry about your friend." She looked at him sympathetically.

"Thanks," The mutt said, staring into her eyes, then quickly looking away. She reached over to him, grabbing his paw. She giggled.

     "Your paws are soft."

"Yeah, I get that a lot, actually." The vixen laughed again, and Stray blushed. He hoped she wouldn't notice him admiring her. Suddenly, her brown eyes met his. Stray saw her smile, before looking away, embarrassed. He heard her laugh, a sound he was quickly beginning to like.

"You don't have to be so shy!" Reaching for one of her fluorescent necklaces, she offered it to the flustered canine, "Here, want one?" Stray looked at her, finding her beautiful smile and eyes.

"Sure," he said, taking the necklace. Michelle returned with Sam's drink. Setting it in front of her friend, she laughed.

"Wow, Sam only gives her glow necklaces to people she likes." She winked at Stray, making him blush more. The poor canine was grateful of the dark atmosphere and the chaotic lights. Looking at the table, he tried to avoid eye contact with the vixen. He definitely liked her, but, he didn't do well with relationships. It wasn't a good time, either. They had just lost Mike, and instead of feeling sad, he was fixated on a vixen he met just 10 minutes ago! Shaking his head, he decided he didn't want to deal with his feelings currently. He was going to ignore them tonight. Tonight, he was living in the moment. He was giving up control. He was going to do whatever he felt like doing, regardless of the consequences. Alcohol would definitely help. Stray was about to get up and get another drink, when Sam squeezed his paw. The vixen was eyeing him, a slight smile on her lips.

"Want to dance?" Her expression was hopeful. Her thumb rubbed Stray's paw lazily. He looked down at the dance floor, filled with furs dancing, happy. They were having a good time.

Smiling, he said, "Yes." The vixen beamed. Stray allowed her to pull him up and lead him downstairs to the dance floor. Finding an open spot, they quickly filled it. Sam began moving her hips to the music. Stray's eyes followed every move she made. Her arms and legs followed suit and soon her entire body was moving to the beat. Stray was mesmerized. The way she moved, with the light flashing around her, was hypnotic. His jaw parted slightly as he watched her dance. His eyes followed every one of her movements, starting with her slender legs and fluffy tail. Moving up, he concentrated on her stomach and her breasts, smiling. Finally, her face, with her hair moving back and forth. Her streak of purple was almost glowing in the light.

Sam noticed her companion wasn't dancing. She grabbed him, pulling him close to her. Stray's heart beat faster at the sudden contact. "Come on silly!" she said in his ear, "move your tail!" Stray did as he was told, moving his hips side to side, slowly at first, but building up speed. He felt his arms moving, as the music took hold of his body. Flashing a smile, he moved his entire body, not caring what he looked like. "That's it!" Sam yelled, continuing her captivating movements. The mutt felt great. This is what he needed, the chance to forget everything and let himself go. Being with a vixen helped. The energy of the club arced through him, and for the first time in 48 hours, he was happy again.

The music pounded against them. The vixen had begun to sweat slightly, which only enticed Stray. As the music built up to its climax, the two furs came closer together. Stray looked at Sam, letting his emotions run free. Without thinking, he grabbed her, and kissed her lips. Sam's ears perked up and she stared at the canine in astonishment. Staring back, he found pleasure in her eyes. The vixen grinned, her eyes never leaving Stray. They looked at each other, frozen, while the club moved around them. Stray felt every beat of his heart, as if it were a bass beat. It boomed against his chest. Sam pulled him close to her and returned his kiss, running her tongue over his lips. Stray was sent over the edge. Parting his lips, he slid his tongue to meet hers. The music thumped in their ears as they kissed. Pulling away, Stray slid his hand down the vixen's arm. With a smirk, he pulled one of her glow bracelets off. She cocked her ear to the side, and began dancing again. Stray followed her lead, letting the strong dubstep track fill his mind. Everything around him faded out, as he lost himself to the emotion of the club.

As he danced, something caught his eye, somewhere over Sam's shoulder. Stray couldn't help but wonder what it was. Then he saw it. His heart skipped a beat, and it felt like he had been hit in the gut. A wolf was in the crowd, a _red_ wolf, which looked all too familiar. Stray stopped dancing, finding it hard to breathe. 'Not here, not now. It can't be!' he thought. Frantically, he looked again. The wolf was there! Stray was certain. Their eyes met. The wolf smiled, sending shivers down Stray's spine. The terrified canine stepped back. His head was spinning and he couldn't breathe. It felt like the floor had opened below him, and he was falling-

"Stray!" Sam caught him before he fell. "You okay?" He regained his balance and shook her off. Pushing furs in front of him away, he strained to find the wolf of his nightmares. He fought his way through the crowd, searching desperately for the wolf. The canine looked around, but only saw furs dancing in every direction. The wolf was gone. Stray just stood there, short of breath, wondering if what he saw was real. He told himself there were many red wolves, just because he saw one didn't mean it was one of _them._ His hands were shaking. As he felt his knees begin to buckle, someone grabbed him by the shoulders. "Stray, come on, let's go sit down." Seeing it was Sam, he nodded weakly, and followed her back to their table.

The couple found Jacob and Michelle sipping on drinks. They sat down with the couple. Michelle noticed Stray was shaken up. Sam sat down, holding Stray. "Something's wrong, he nearly fainted on the floor." The husky looked at him, concerned.

     "What's wrong?"

Stray looked at her, wearily. "I thought I saw one of the wolves that killed Mike." The husky gasped. Jacob looked at him, concerned.

After a minute, she asked Jacob to get the canine a drink. "That's impossible." She said without looking at Stray.

"Yeah, I'm probably just seeing things." He tried to convince himself he was, but he couldn't shake the feeling of dread he had. The wolf had been too clear- too _real_. Closing his eyes, he tried to focus on the music. As he was starting to relax, a smile flashed in his mind. Stray squeezed his eyes tighter, gritting his teeth. The wolf from his nightmare was taking over his mind. His breathing picked up, as the vision of the wolf held his imagination.

Something squeezed his paw. Opening his eyes, the canine saw brown eyes staring back at him. He let Sam's gaze fill his vision, replacing the horrible wolf. She didn't say a word. Instead, she held him in her gaze, letting Stray see the sympathy and comfort within. Slowly, the anxiety that had invaded his mind retreated. The horrible memory of the wolf's grin was replaced by Sam's caring eyes, and her beautiful face. The canine stared at her, his breathing returning to normal. She squeezed his paw again, snapping him back to reality.

     "Stray?" Michelle asked.

Swallowing, he answered, "I'm fine now. Just need a drink."

"Jacob should be back soon with some." She leaned over the table, whispering in the canine's ear, "Look, if you need help, get it. You seem pretty traumatized, maybe it's a good idea. You've been through something terrible and it's understandable." The canine just nodded. He was grateful when Jacob returned with more drinks. He reached out, taking his, and greedily downed it.

"You feeling okay, Stray?" the shepherd asked, sipping his own drink.

Shaking his head, he replied, "Yeah, just bad thoughts." He looked back at the dance floor.

"Well forget them; we're here to party, right? Just relax and enjoy yourself. You of all people need it." Stray smiled at him.

"You're right. I can't let them interfere with my night." The canine took a few deep breaths, banishing all bad thoughts from his mind. He let the music fill his mind instead. Slamming his hand on the table, he howled, getting odd glances from nearby furs. That made him feel better already. Stray was not going to let these thoughts control him. If he could keep his mind busy, keep it from wandering, he could keep these bad thoughts away. He could be happy again.

Turning to Sam, he took her hand, saying, "I apologize, I ruined our dance. Shall we retry? I won't freak out this time." The vixen smiled back.

"Of course! Let's go!" With that, the two leapt up, making their way back to the dance floor. Michelle sat with her boyfriend. She took his paw in her own, gently squeezing it. She looked at Jacob, and kissed him.

"I'm worried about Stray." She confessed. Her boyfriend pulled her into him, as he always did when she needed comforting.

The shepherd kissed the top of her head. "He's been through a lot in the past few days. It can't be easy for him to handle. I know he blames himself for what happened."

"I know, but, he's scaring me. He told me after he broke the mirror he didn't deserve to live and now-" She thought for a moment, "I don't even know what just happened. Jacob, he's a mess on the inside. I just don't know." The shepherd rubbed her arms, holding her tight.

"I don't know either, sweetie, but we're here for him. We'll help however we can." He stared at the furs dancing all over the club. "At least tonight he's not worried about anything. He and Sam seem to have a thing for each other."

Michelle put her drink down. "Yeah, Sam definitely likes him. I don't think she's ever liked a guy so quick."

"I know I liked you pretty quick." The shepherd said, biting the husky's ear, with a smile.

It made her smirk. "Shut up, you big flirt." She hit him playfully. "I hope Sam and Stray are having a good time."

After a few more songs, Sam and Stray returned, sweating and grinning. Michelle was surprised at how Stray had changed from the beginning of the night. She smiled, realizing that he was actually happy. The husky noticed the looks the vixen and canine were giving each other. Yeah, they liked each other. She noticed Stray's hand slipping lower on Sam's back. Sam noticed, too, although she didn't seem to mind. Shaking her head, she couldn't help but smile. Michelle was glad to see Stray was feeling better, at least for the moment. She kicked Stray under the table when he sat down to get his attention. "Jacob and I are going to dance for a bit, you guys mind watching the table?"

Sam spoke up, "Actually, I was going to steal your friend for the night, if you don't mind." She looked at the husky, slightly embarrassed. Michelle raised her eyebrows.

"Really? Well, you started liking him fast!" She smiled at her friend.

"Well," the vixen said timidly, playing with her hair, "we just- connected."

The husky laughed. "Well if he wants to go, he's free. He is an adult after all, even though he doesn't always act like it."

Sam grinned. "I guess I'll drop him off at Jacob's later." Getting up, she grabbed Stray, and started to leave.

"Hey!" Michelle called. The vixen turned back. "You pups behave yourselves!" the husky called with a wink. Sam stuck her tongue out at her friend and lead Stray out of Underworld.

He followed her to her car, a black convertible. As she unlocked it, she let the hood down. "You don't mind if we ride topless, do you? I like driving in the cool night air."

Stray grinned, enjoying the night air as well. "No, I don't mind." The couple got in the car and headed towards her apartment. As he rode, the canine focused on the fox's hair whipping in the wind, her face illuminated by the stereo's display. He concentrated on the cool air streaming past his own face, leaning his head back on the seat. Stray was relaxed. He had finally let his worries go. Tomorrow may be better, and it may not. That didn't matter at the moment. What did matter was that he had a place to stay, he had had a good time tonight, and now, he was going home with a vixen. Stray didn't care what happened next. Sure, he felt guilty about feeling happy, instead of mourning his friend. He couldn't stay miserable, though. Mike was still remembered and missed, however, Stray needed to fix himself, too. Step one: let the pain go. Step two hadn't been defined yet, but he had plenty of time to figure that out. He could worry about that tomorrow. Tonight, he was with a vixen. Stray came back to reality as the car came to a stop.

"We're here." Sam said, stepping out. She lived in an apartment on the upper part of the city. It was filled with nice apartment complexes, small restraunts, and stores. The vixen led him up to her apartment on the fifth floor. Unlocking the door, she invited him in. For a brief second, Stray had an unpleasant flashback of the last time he unlocked his apartment. He quickly shook it off, instead thinking of Sam's fluffy tail. His mind went a more- lustful- route. After he entered, he heard the deadbolt slide into place. The vixen turned the lights on, and Stray couldn't help but follow her tail with his eyes, as she walked through the open living room.

The apartment was nice; it had a large living room, with a wide window taking up the entire wall on one side. It gave a wonderful view of the night city. A nice sized kitchen was opposite the living room. A narrow hallway lead to the rest of the apartment. "Nice place." The canine remarked, observing the décor.

"Thanks. It's not perfect, but it's nice." Sam leaned against the counter. Stray looked around the room. The walls were bare. Normally, that would bother him, but here it seemed to fit. There wasn't much furniture, just a few chairs and a nice sofa. He did notice a pretty nice stereo in the corner of the room. Glancing around, he managed to find all the speakers that went with it. Sam noticed him eyeing her stereo in the living room. "It's a good system. It does a wonderful job of filling this place with music." She smiled playfully, "Want to hear?"

     "Sure."

The vixen grabbed a remote from the sofa and pressed a button. Dubstep filled the apartment with throbbing bass. "Not bad, huh?" The canine agreed. "Well, sit down, make yourself at home. Want a drink?" She went to the kitchen and opened her fridge.

"Why not?" Stray sat down on her sofa, leaning back. It was just like Underworld, except there were no flashing lights and no crowd. It was just him and Sam. The vixen sat next to him, handing him a bottle of Smirinoff. He laughed, taking the drink.

     "What?"

"Smirinoff. It really is a girl's drink."

Sam gave him a mock angry look. "Well, in that case I'll take it back." She reached towards the bottle. Stray leaned back, still smiling.

"No, I'm cool with that." Twisting the top off, he took a sip.

"That's what I thought." The vixen stuck her tongue out at him. Sitting quietly for a few minutes, she looked over at her guest. "So, tell me about you, Stray."

The canine sat up. "What do you want to know?"

"Anything. All I know is what Michelle has told me and, honestly, I don't remember much. Except for that moon across your eye." She looked away, adding, "It's cute."

"Thanks. It's the only white on my body. I don't know, it's just there." He shrugged.

"I like it." Sam moved closer to Stray. Reaching out, she softly traced his crescent with her finger. "I know you're a mutt, but, what two breeds are you?"

Stray shifted a little. Looking down, he answered, "Well, to tell you the truth, I don't even know." He swallowed, continuing, "My parents were murdered when I was a pup. I know my mother was a husky, but, I'm not quite sure about my father. If I had to guess, I'd say he was a coyote." He ran his finger around the rim of his bottle, carelessly.

     "That's horrible!"

     "Yeah."

Sam decided not to press, seeing how he didn't want to talk about it. "I'm sorry. You've only been here 20 minutes and I've already killed the mood!" Stray looked at her face.

"No, no. You haven't. I've lived with that fact for 20 years, it's fine. You just asked a simple question. No biggie." He grabbed her shoulder, reassuring her. The vixen tried again.

"Do you have a real name?" Stray looked away again.

"I did, but I chose to forget it. I started a new life, so I took a new name. My adoptive father called me Stray, so I took it." His gaze returned to Sam. He smiled.

"Okay, so what do you like?"

"Well, dubstep and metal music, video games, reading, and spending time with friends."

"Cool. I take it you like Underworld?"

"Yes! It's a wonderful place." Stray finished his drink, setting the bottle on the coffee table.

"What happened to your hand?" Sam gently grabbed his bandaged paw. The canine's cheeks flamed.

"Well, I kind of got mad and punched a mirror." The vixen looked at him quizzically. "I was mad at myself. I'm the reason my friend is dead."

Without warning, Sam's hand moved to cover his mouth. Puzzled, Stray looked at her. "Hush! There will be no talk of that!" Nodding silently, the canine stopped talking.

It was quiet, as the two sipped on their drinks. The music surrounded them. Sam bit her lower lip, grabbing Stray's paw. She looked him in the eyes. Leaning towards him, her lips brushed against his. Stray could only stare back into her eyes, his breathing a little more difficult. Closing his eyes, he returned her kiss, his tongue rushing to meet hers. Her body pressed against him, and he could feel her hands grasping his back. Falling back, he ran his fingers through her hair, holding her tighter. After what felt like an eternity, she broke the kiss. The two lay, staring at each other, while the music played on.

"I know it's fast," Sam panted, "but I really like you. I don't know, you just attract me."

Stray smiled up at her. "It's okay. It is fast, but I really like you, too. I've never felt like this about anyone." He kissed her again. The vixen pulled away, her chest heaving.

"Me either." she gasped. Stray began kissing her neck, as his hands explored her back. The vixen's tail found his, as she lifted her head, letting the canine's mouth at her throat. Her hands clutched at his back, whines of pleasure escaping her. The couple kissed for some minutes, ending when Sam leaned back. Extending her paw, she helped Stray off the sofa. Still holding his paw, she led him back to her bedroom. Blushing slightly, he followed, feeling a pressure below the belt.

Sam pushed the door open, allowing Stray to see her room. Her bed was large, taking up a good bit of the room. 'Plenty of room for two.' The canine thought. A dresser was against the wall across from the bed. It didn't have much on it. In fact, besides a small chair and a closet, the room was pretty bare. He guessed she didn't spend much time in it. 'With a living room like that, neither would I,' he imagined. Shutting the door, the vixen flipped a switch. Bright neon blue lights, around the ceiling, bathed the room in a dim electric glow. "That's awesome." Stray said, awed by the lights.

She laughed, "Yeah, I had to have them in here. Cool, huh?" Throwing herself on the bed, she looked up at the canine suggestively. He took the invitation, slowly lying beside her. Her bed was nice and soft, with a smooth comforter, and Stray hoped, smooth sheets. He kicked off his boots, and took his socks off. Sam smiled, following suit. When she lay back, the canine gently stroked her arm with his soft paw. Moving herself closer to him, she reached over, softly tracing his white crescent. Bringing her finger down the side of his face, she grabbed his muzzle, and turned it towards her own. Their lips met.

Stray's hand found her hip as they made out, lightly squeezing her. Their tails twisted together, as the vixen's mouth moved to his neck. Murring, he let her kiss his neck, as his hands slipped under her shirt. She gasped into his neck, while he felt her warm fur. One of his hands moved up to caress her breast, just as the other brushed her hair away from her face. Holding her head tenderly, he brought his mouth over hers. After minutes of kissing and caressing, she came up for air, only to kiss his neck more. The canine squeezed her breast, getting a moan of pleasure, making her kiss him harder. Panting, he lifted her shirt slowly over her body.

Sam had a black bra on. Breathing hard, Stray kissed her neck, rubbing her body. Something soft touched his stomach. He realized it was the vixen's hands, slipping his shirt off. Pausing, he allowed her to remove it, and then resumed kissing her neck. She explored his body with her hands, holding his head to her throat. Gently biting her, the vixen moaned in pleasure. Stray moved his hands to her jeans, searching for the button. Sam rolled over, letting him find it, and soon he had pulled her jeans off. The canine felt a bulge in his own jeans, as he saw the vixen's thong. It was black, like her bra, and had cherries on the front. Inhaling deeply, taking in her sweet scent, he kissed her again. She pulled back, however, reaching for the male's jeans.

Allowing her to pull them off, as she had allowed him, he let out a moan as her hands grazed his erect penis. The vixen smiled, and slid her hands slowly over it again, eliciting another moan. Kissing his chest, she went ahead and removed his boxers, freeing his aching member. Rolling on top of her, he undid her bra, kissing her hard. Tossing the article of clothing away, he saw her exposed breasts. Moving down her neck, his mouth found her nipple, and he kissed it softly. The vixen arched her back, with a soft cry. Stray's hands continued down, finding her thong and tugging at it. Rubbing her nether region, he found her thong was damp. Lifting her legs, Sam let him remove it, exposing her wet sex. Still kissing her breast, the canine rubbed her mound. The vixen cried out in pleasure, gasping his name.

His fingers slipped into her folds, finding her entrance. His mouth returned to her neck, while his fingers slid into her body. She moaned, her body heaving, as the canine stimulated her. Panting, she began kissing him. Stray was sending her towards the edge. He was rubbing the right spot. It felt incredible. She was paralyzed with the waves of pleasure he was giving her, rubbing her most sensitive part. If he didn't stop, she would climax soon! Just as she thought he would send her over the edge, he stopped. Breathing hard, she looked at him, puzzled. The sly canine, smiled, moving to kiss her stomach. The vixen looked down her body at the passionate canine. His hands slid to her thighs, gradually spreading her legs. Her heart thundered in her chest, as he kissed her inner thigh, lightly biting her. His kisses moved nearer to her sex. Stray paused, his mouth inches from Sam's mound. She could feel his hot breath between her legs. Her body tensed, excited by him going down on her. She held her breath as his lips touched her folds.

Sam cried out in pleasure, as Stray's tongue entered her body. Writhing, she moaned loudly, while the canine licked her most private area. Her body tensed, the pleasure building in the hot vixen. "Stray-"She breathed, but the canine continued his stimulation. Throwing her head back into the pillows, she clutched her covers. The pressure was too much. "_Stray!"_ she screamed reaching her orgasm.

The canine moved up the gasping vixen's body, kissing her as he did so. Their mouths met, and their hands ran over each other as they kissed. Breaking the kiss, Sam reached into a drawer in her nightstand. With a smile, she pushed a condom into the aroused male's chest. Quickly opening it, Stray slipped it on. Kissing her neck hard, he pushed into her. The vixen cried out softly, arching again, as Stray began thrusting lightly. Gently, he brought his hips to hers. The couple moaned in their lovemaking. Stray panted, his motions getting faster. Wrapping her legs around him, Sam pulled her partner's face to her own, locking him in a deep kiss, as her body tightened around him. The bed rocked with Stray's motions. The canine brought his head up, moaning loudly. The vixen guessed he was nearing his climax. As he continued his rhythm, he painted with each stroke. She moaned with him, feeling her own climax. Stray growled, pushing hard into her. With a small howl, he climaxed. "Sam," he whispered into her ear.

"Stray," she whispered back, then with a gasp, held him tight. Closing her eyes and tightening her body, she screamed his name again, as she climaxed again. Panting, the two held each other, tied together. They were exhausted after their passionate lovemaking. After lying in each other's arms for at least half an hour, Stray finally pulled away from the vixen. The pair cleaned up quickly, and then slid into Sam's comfortable bed. Stray snuggled up closely to Sam, pressing her warm body to his. She kissed him, with a smile. Pulling the covers over them, the couple twisted their tails together. "Good night, Stray." Sam smiled.

"Good night, Sam." He answered with a kiss. As the vixen closed her eyes, Stray was thankful tonight had turned out so well. It was nice to have a good evening after all that had happened to him. He held Sam tightly, drifting into sleep.

Sam woke up when she felt Stray twisting beside her. Rolling over, she watched the poor canine writhe in his sleep. She could hear him mumbling something. Leaning closer, she heard him say, "I'm sorry," repeatedly. His fur was damp with sweat and he clutched the covers firmly. Worried, she reached a hand towards him. "No!" he screamed, and Sam pulled back. "No! Stay away! I'm sorry!" the tortured canine cried. Sam watched anxiously as he carried on. Struggling more and more, Stray's whining got louder. Her hand was frozen in mid-air. She didn't know if she should wake him or not. Pulling the covers to his chest, Stray whimpered. "Please," he begged, "I'm so sorry. Please, don't hurt me." He sounded like he was going to cry. Sam couldn't bear seeing him like this. She shook his shoulder hard.

"Stray!" she called, jarring him from sleep. Gasping for air, the startled canine looked around. Seeing Sam, he remembered where he was. "What's wrong?" the vixen asked, with a worried expression.

He looked away. "Nothing. Just a nightmare." The canine stared at the wall, gasping for air.

            "You were saying things."

Stray turned back towards the vixen. "I was?"

She nodded. "Yeah, things like, 'I'm sorry' and 'Stay away'."

The canine rubbed his head, embarrassed. "I'm sorry."

Sam looked at him, nervously, "You want to talk about it?"

Swishing his tail underneath the covers, he leaned his head back and sighed. "I guess." Stray rubbed his hands together. Taking the vixen's hands, he said, "I've been having nightmares of my friend and the people who killed him." Swallowing, he continued," I had one last night, too." The troubled canine lowered his head. "Every time I close my eyes I can see his smile." His voice sank to almost a whisper, "now, I can't even sleep apparently." He kept his head down, carelessly drawing circles in the sheets. Sam saw how tormented the canine was.

Throwing her arms around him, she whispered, "Everything is going to be okay. I'm here." The vixen started rocking him gently. Stray let her hold him. He exhaled sharply, going limp in the vixen's arms. She held his head, trying to comfort him as if he were a pup. He closed his eyes, focusing on the vixen's touch. Sam rubbed his back while she held him. 'Whatever has happened to him must have been truly horrible to do this to him.' As she held him close, she felt something on her shoulder. It was so light, she barely felt it. Cocking one ear to the side, she wondered what she had felt. Stray inhaled deeply. Then, she felt it again. He took another breath, this one more ragged than the first. The vixen's ears perked up, and she held him tighter, as she realized what she had felt.

            Stray was crying.
